I hope we can see Tehran in the bullpen in September. Hopefully we won’t have a need or room for him as a starter this year.

They have Delgado ranked # 141
Righthander Randall Delgado is a wiry power pitcher with three quality pitches and developing control. His fastball, which can touch 95, lives more in the 92mph range with significant late movement. His control is about where you’d expect it to be in such a youngster: some days he can blow hitters away, while on other days he looks lost on the mound. Starting in High-A Rome and ending in AA Mississippi, Delgado put together a composite 7-12 record in 2010, though he’s a better pitcher than that suggests. He’s likely to stay there for 2011

Vizcaino # 67

The Yankees top international signee back in 2007, righthander Arodys Vizcaino was one of the team’s top prospects when he moved to Atlanta as part of the trade that sent Javier Vazquez back to the Bronx. His fastball hovers in the low 90s, but should get harder as he matures. He complements that with an already-superb curve and a developing change. His development over the next year in Atlanta’s pitching labs will determine whether he’s starter or bullpen material, but he’s already proven he can pitch rather than just throw: in 2009, he posted a 1.16 WHIP and a 2.13 ERA in 42 innings of work at short-season Staten Island

Thanks for the posts, nolie!

Trout at #7 is probably the lowest I’ve seen him ranked anywhere. Right now, if you’re an Angels fan, he’s the only thing to hang your hat on. I’d be so mad if the Braves ever made such a ridiculous trade like the one that brought them Wells.

This Teheran Cat is playing with me…Word on The Street is that he has the Credientials of a young Pedro Martinez…?

I just wonder if McDowell is gonna start Pitching Camp Early for the fact that there are so many new young guys (1st/2nd year players-BB, M&M, Kimmie, Vennie-Macc) in the Bullpen as compared to last year and a mix of veterans from Outside the organization….?

Petey-Pablo and Easy E are the only holdovers from the Braves Pen from 2009…They are the Vets in that pen now…

I hope Petey Pablo does some Kerry Ligtenberg Sideburns or something along those lines…anything but one of those Stoopid Mo-Hawks

Kimbrell # 79

.A fireplug righty in the Jon Broxton fashion, Kimbrel is the Braves’ number one closer prospect. His heavy fastball touches 96, and when he mixes in his plus slider, he’s near-unhittable. The Braves Minor League Pitcher of the Year in 2009, he proved valuable in the major league bullpen in 2010, and he looks like the favorite for saves in 2011, though new manager Fredi Gonzalez isn’t likely to let him handle too much pressure too soon

Definitely be Top 100 on all of em. He was last year for Law, and I don’t think he hurt his stock this year. BA will have him in there too. Vizcaino could drop completely out because of the injury. But I expect Teheran, Freeman, Minor, and Delgado to be Top 100 for most all lists. He pitched as a 20 year old last year, and put up some pretty good rate stats. Only turning 21 in Feb. To already have 40 innings in Double-A at that age is impressive, imo.

Depends on what they find easiest to acquire i suspect. They can move Prado to third and look for an OFer of keep him in left and look for a third bagger. It is usually easier to find an OFer with a certain level of performance than it is a third guy, and maybe cheaper too, but they will have options. I think they will try to move Prado and look for an OFer first

Braves trade Cody Johnson to Yankees
According to the Newark Star-Ledger, the Braves traded outfielder Cody Johnson to the Yankees for cash considerations.
Our View: Johnson, a 2006 first-round pick, hasn’t made an MLB impact since being drafted, but he’s still a young prospect with upside as a power bat. The 22-year-old hit .212 with 18 home runs and 60 RBI in the minors last season, and he’ll be given a chance to become the DH of the future.

The Mets have an infield of potential, and most of its potential and success is tied to shortstop Jose Reyes.

Reyes is one of the game’s most talented players, but is a cancer in the locker room due to lackadaisical play.

The Mets are loaded at the corners with a superstar David Wright and an emerging superstar in Ike Davis.
If Reyes plays to potential, which is likely because it’s his walk year, the Mets will be one of the surprise teams of 2011, and have one of the game’s best infields. If Reyes has another lackluster year, the Mets will be playing the same old song…
