Nathan, every team in Grapefruit league plays in Florida – no country caravan stops are needed there, you’ve got the players to yourselves for one month!

I Have a question. When there are two locations like Columbia, SC and Augusta, GA how are they two places at one time?

And, to follow up on Matthew’s question, why is there only one location listed (for example Chattanooga’s mall but no listing for Knoxville?).

Well, since nearly seven weeks of spring training in Florida starts right after one-day caravan stops end…

Matthew,
The way it worked last year, the players visited Columbia in the morning and then stopped in Augusta later that afternoon.

I have an idea… if we Georgians below the gnat line want an autograph, we can stake out I-75 and catch the players on their way down to Spring Training. They’ll get stopped for speeding somewhere between Byron and Valdosta along the stretch of interstate where the eternal construction is happening, and has been happening since three years before the Olympics.
I call the stretch between Tifton and Adel where there are three cop cars for every interstate traveler!

I did the event in Auburn last year. It was cool. Line was not bad and my son got pictures and autographs from Medlin and Freeman. It was worth the time. I heard the Atlanta events were a zoo so I would drive 1 1/2 hours and do an event away from town.

Southeastern Tour? Five dates are in ATLANTA!!
What about south Georgia? And that doesn’t mean Macon.
We pay the same price for tickets down here that they do in Atlanta…plus gas andother travel expensives.
Come on Braves. What about Albany, Waycross, Tifton or Valdosta?

How about sometimes going close to home like Carrollton, Fayetteville, Loganville, Stone Mountain, Tucker, etc. These are people most likely to come to games!

NC, SC, TN, Atlanta gets them but south, east, and west Georgia gets ignored. Have an Acadamy Sports or get nothing seems to be the decision.

i’d suggest Starkville. only a 4 hr drive, could do it the same day as Birmingham. They have a Sports Acadamy. Biloxi would work too.

Southgafan? @9:44AM on 1/5… who said there was a problem with anybody breaking the law? I agree with you… you don’t break the law you don’t get a ticket.
I’m just trying to help out with a little solution to the Braves caravan not coming south of Macon… maybe with a little exageration and tongue planted firmly in cheek, but still a solution. And… tongue in cheek or not, that still doesn’t excuse the fact that there’s a boat load of cops staked out all along that stretch of interstate. I know… I travel it every day… within the ever fluctuating speed limit of course!

We got an Academy Sports and I thought I would never go to it! We were bypassed for ages on Braves Caravan stops but now we seem to be getting noticed – looks like all those braves caps we bought finally paid off.
all kidding aside, the caravan probly goes to alabama now cause Hudson went to Auburn, also its obvious that the Braves and Academy Sports have a deal worked out. Its more of a throwback to the old days kinda thing, nice of them to do and screaming about how they are pricks is probly what convinced them that there were other places they could go sometimes.
