Haha! That’s funny. Well, black-and-white episodes would help sooth the next-to-unbearableness of being in that chair…
My Dad’s going to the dentist tomorrow—he broke a tooth last week. It was an already-dead tooth, though, so he was about to wait till after Christmas.
Did I miss the sarcasm button? Or something else?
December 28th, 20109:50 pm
I’d say yes to at least your first question.
December 28th, 20109:53 pm
Alright Falcons! 7 Pro Bowlers.
….to go with 7 Braves All Stars and 2 Hawks All Stars in 2010
December 28th, 20109:58 pm
…the Atlanta native who’s got great character and is great for the community.
Yeah sweet, now if he could look/play like a baseball player.
December 28th, 201010:00 pm
Kind of left off the first half of that description, Mixxy
the 5-time All Star, the Silver Slugger
OK, LAdy, let me give you a less than subtle hint, then. I didn’t intend on driving you nuts.
cabravesfan, this is the most you’ve enjoyed the blog, tonight, since 10:00 EST. This is the worst time you’ve had on the blog, tonight, since 10:00.
December 28th, 201010:02 pm
That’s less subtle? I feel like I’m watching Lost
December 28th, 201010:04 pm
I thought it was pretty obvious.
Maybe I should think about cutting back a tad on the LSD.
Juliet – well it was a good looking horse…I hope Joe decides to buy it looks like a good project
December 28th, 201010:06 pm
Tango can I help them? I’m probably wrong but have an idea.
Nonsense. Don’t let these folks hold you back, Tom.
December 28th, 201010:07 pm
Man, usually I feel smarter after reading comments on the blog. Not tonight though
December 28th, 201010:08 pm
tiger297, Go for it. This wasn’t supposed to be a riddle.
Danga, MY MAN!
December 28th, 201010:09 pm
he’s a buddy of mine who has 2 airplanes and looking for another one that needs to be rebuilt
December 28th, 201010:11 pm
Here’s my lineup
December 28th, 201010:12 pm
so my guess is this is the 1st time you have shoveled show this year making it the most fun time. Still doesn’t mean you enjoyed it at all.
Jeff D = Troublemaker
December 28th, 201010:15 pm
Hmm…I dunno…maybe flip-flop Prado and McLouth—give BMac a little more protection.
December 28th, 201010:16 pm
It’s really just alphabetical
I believe you’re ready to become tiger298! Well done.
December 28th, 201010:19 pm
I think a promotion would make him tiger296, with the ultimate goal of becoming tiger #1
Oh, hey, wow…I didn’t even notice that…
Looks like I got dumber reading the Blog tonight, too!
December 28th, 201010:20 pm
That jeffrey d is always thinking. I like that!
How do you go about getting your own airplane, anyway?
December 28th, 201010:21 pm
Looks like I got dumber reading the Blog tonight, too!
Feel…I said reading the Blog makes you feel dumber. Not get dumber
If they can’t get a OF that can hit leadoff, than I see no better choice than Prado. Think about it, you ain’t putting McLouth there when he’s shown zilch at the plate for almost two full seasons. Jones looks like a perfect 2 hole hitter to me. He can just slap the ball around the field some and move guys over while taking his walks. When he gets hurt they can just move Prado in that spot, or maybe McLouth and keep Prado at leadoff.
I guess I go: Prado/ Jones/ Heyward/ Uggla/ McCann/ Freeman/ Gonzalez/ McLouth
December 28th, 201010:22 pm
Somehow even I knew it was Tom O’s first time shoveling snow this year, so yeah, it was obvious.
Never shoveled snow, never want to.
December 28th, 201010:23 pm
How goes it? Well, back in VA; I am already to get back to GA.
So where’s the horse come in?
If they can’t get a OF that can hit leadoff, than I see no better choice than Prado.
No problem, TNBrian. Prado is an OF this year.
December 28th, 201010:24 pm
I’d bat Chipper leadoff. Like Prado better in the 2 hole.
December 28th, 201010:25 pm
Trey, Tom, tiger….too many Tangos here or else I’d be all over the army talk
jeffrey, it’s very serious, this projected lineup stuff. When Fredi Gonzalez and high ups within the Braves organization analyze our projected lineups we need to be sure there’s no clowing around. Don’t want them to not take us serious. Lets focus…..
Yeah, Bat, it was like that Charlie Dickins guy said, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times”. (or sumptin’)
December 28th, 201010:26 pm
jeffrey d Feel…I said reading the Blog makes you feel dumber. Not get dumber
Well…yeah…see? I uh…it made me feel so dumb, I thought I actually got dumber…
December 28th, 201010:27 pm
jeffrey, haha. Well, you can say Echo. My birth name does start with E.
I’ve been tiger297 for over 15 years I’m not sure I would know how to handle a change in my moniker at this point
So you made it back OK?
December 28th, 201010:28 pm
Tom O’Hawke, ya know what I mean. Like a CF with a little speed that can actually hit a baseball, unlike what Nate has been doing all this time with us. I too like Prado better hitting 2nd, but we have no better guy to hit leadoff imo.
Here’s my real lineup
To all the people in VA; I had no idea how dangerous these roads are tonight. I thought the ice and snow would have melted a little bit by now.
What’s my Army name?
I didn’t know your real name was Earl.
December 28th, 201010:29 pm
What’s my Army name? McFann
McFann, yeah. It was a smooth ride until I got to Norfolk.
jeffrey d Here’s my real lineup
Oh, yeah…that totally makes more sense…
December 28th, 201010:30 pm
I’m gonna be honest, that second lineup is in first name alphabetical order….but except for Gonzo leading off you don’t see anything too glaring about it though.
Jeffrey, my name’s not Earl.
December 28th, 201010:31 pm
Mike? Hmm…well, I did like that Michael kid from Barney when I was like 4 or 5 years old…
until I got to Norfolk.
It’s where David Wright is from…
Don’t worry, Brian. I know exactly what you mean. Unfortunately, whatdaya gonna do? Just hope Nate can stage a comeback, I guess. A BIG comeback, IMO.
December 28th, 201010:32 pm
jeffrey, haha. Well, you can say Echo. My birth name does start with E.
Birth parents and birth names, hello 21st century.
McFann, I had no idea that he was from there. Yeah, the roads were so icy.
Well, at least my name doesn’t begin with “Y”…
December 28th, 201010:33 pm
Oh, sorry Earnest
December 28th, 201010:34 pm
“Birth parents and birth names, hello 21st century.”
Actually, I have gone by Trey since the 20th century.
The problem with this lineup is that Chipper will be lucky to play 60 games this year and Nate will be sent down after the first month. The same thing could be said for Freeman. We still have multiple holes to fill and I hope we’re not done making moves. I will say the lineup looks good on paper but if you’re a true braves fan you know this will not get it done for the length of a 162 game season. We need to pick up a speedy outfielder who can hit .280+.
Trey I had no idea that he was from there.
Yup…not entirely sure how come I remember that so good…
Yeah, the roads were so icy.
Eesh…that can’t be fun. Icy roads are frightening for sure.
jeffrey, I wouldn’t mind if it was Ernest. My name would be a movie title.
December 28th, 201010:36 pm
Yes, I wonder. You remember a Mets player too well!
December 28th, 201010:37 pm
jeffrey d I’m in your stomping grounds now btw…if I’m remembering correctly
December 28th, 201010:39 pm
Gwinnett or Athens?
Mark my words, Nate McLouth will not be batting 2nd when the season starts. I refuse to believe that Freddi will make the same mistake that Bobby Cox was prone to make. He will give him a shot to either succeed or fail, and fail miserably will be what he does. Why will this happen? Simply put, the boy sucks the biggest one ever. He ain’t shyt and will never amount to anything. That one year in Pittsburgh was an aberration. And let’s not even get into his shytty defense. He misjudges fly balls, and has absolutely no arm at all. I’m rooting for Schafer to play his way back onto this team, for no other reason than I don’t think I can take another year of watching Nate McLouth do his best impression of a monkey making love to a football.
Creepy, ain’t it? Well, I think it’s ’cause they mention Norfolk, VA, in this really hilarious episode of The Honeymooners, so every time I see that name I think of that episode. And the Braves play the Mets so much that once I found out where Not wRight was from, he just made me think of that episode as well…
OK, well, I’m about to fall asleep. Think it’s time for me to turn in for the night…
So then it’s Ebenezer?
That doesn’t start with an E, VJ
Wait…what are we talking about…?
December 28th, 201010:41 pm
thought you had some connection to louisville
Wow, early night, McFann? I’m used to you exceeding midnight.
December 28th, 201010:42 pm
jeffrey, like Scrooge! Nah, not that either.
December 28th, 201010:43 pm
Have a good one, McFann.
December 28th, 201010:44 pm
December 28th, 201010:48 pm
Aw shoot, I thought you were in Gwinnett. I was gonna say you, me, McFann, Soph, and Tomahawkin could all go to one of Tomahawkin’s big yacht parties
No worries SNOT, he’s just wired that way, worst to first, but he’s a true BRAVES fan all the way
And, richbrave, I have no idea what the hell you were talking about.
It’s a compliment BRAVEHEART. Take it that way, or don’t…….I don’t give a shyt.
December 28th, 201010:50 pm
No ties to Louisville…over the summer some close friends of mine were in a serious wreck and taken to the UK hospital in Lexington ( http://www.ajc.com/news/two-seriously-injured-in-545374.html ) and I went up there a couple times, but that’s it.
December 28th, 201010:53 pm
December 28th, 201010:54 pm
Lets stop with the Andruw in CF bs, FW is not going backwards so quit wasting space on here with that junk, if McOut/Schafer combo bombs, I promise you FW will make a mid season move for a REAL CF, hopefully Brett Gardner from the Yanks for maybe JJ, they need pitching, we need a bonafide leadoff hitter, would love to see Gardner in the ATL!
December 28th, 201010:56 pm
CAB is not a happy camper.
December 28th, 201010:58 pm
CAB is not a happy camper. rich
what’d you do now Tom?
Yeah, Bat, it was like that Charlie Dickins guy said, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times”. (or sumptin’) _ Tom O’Hawke
The fiddler/poet guy, right?
December 28th, 201010:59 pm
not sure what i was smoking on the louisville train…next thing u will tell me is no connection to AT&T…I’ll be back in ATL for the weekend and if you can get McFann out I will be there (probably be chuck-e-cheese me thinks though)
December 28th, 201011:00 pm
jerry, well you didn’t have to put it like that, but, yeah, you didn’t really lie there either. I too would like to see Schafer make the team and take Nate’s spot. His defense alone should get him the nod over the armless one.
Hey Braveheart – Your kinda read…
[Ray]Liotta: Nick Pileggi gave me I don’t know how many hours of cassettes of himself interviewing Henry Hill, and I would listen to them continuously. Henry would be telling what happened, and it was so casual: “Oh, yeah, and then this one got whacked.” The whole time he’s eating potato chips, talking with food in his mouth
I just pooped

December 28th, 201011:03 pm
Good try, I just pooped
December 28th, 201011:04 pm
**** that has got to be the worst possible lineupe ever. Batting the OBP machine in Heyward 6th and behind Uggla is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. If he goes with that lineup fire him on the spot.
CAB is not a happy camper. (richbrave)
what’d you do now Tom? (nolie)
Unfortunately, guys, it’s just a case of me being me. Is there any wonder why I’m still single?
December 28th, 201011:05 pm
JJ for GARDNER. Very interesting. But I’m sure WREN is gonna’ see how things go in ST before switching a recovering SP for a McLOUTH replacement. Both BRAVES players are problematic this season. JJ’s gonna’ have to look like the second coming of HALLIDAY before a trade for GARDNER happens. That’s going to take some time. Meanwhile, we’ve got NATE-dog and CHIPPER to consider. Maybe they pan out, and a trade isn’t necessary. Cross your fingers.
December 28th, 201011:07 pm
Thought I’d do the shadow name crap since it’s going around.
December 28th, 201011:08 pm
