I kinda like the Patriots. I think Tom Brady and Wes Welker have something to do with that…

I’ve liked the Patriots since ex UGA quarterback Andy Johnson was a running back for them.

So, what is the purpose of punting on 4th and 1 with 2:00 left in the fourt quarter if you have a chance to get a first down and a possible touch down? Last week Falcons did it and today the Saints just did it.

It was a generation ago, but Andy Johnson was the best pure athlete I ever saw. He was drafted by the Braves even though they knew he was going to play QB for UGA.

… Tom O’ Hwake: Good luck with your Packers today. Hope my Giants win, but if they don’t make it today. Good luck with your Packers…
Thanks, wrad.
I’m not taking the Bears lightly at all, and I’m sure the Packers aren’t either. Good luck to your, and VJ’s Giants.
You and VJ would probably like to change locations with me for the next 3 hours. The main game on Fox is the Bears/Packers. However, for me it’s the Giants/Redskins. Have to watch it on computer.

Alright, so I was a little curious and tallied up the number of 2010 NFL QB starters by conference. I went with the main starter, so even though Whitehurst is starting for the Seahawks, I counted Hasselbeck as the starter.
SEC – 7
Pac – 6
Other – 6
ACC – 5
Big 10 – 4
Big 12 – 3
Ivy – 1
cabravesfan
January 2nd, 2011
5:15 pm
jeffrey-
does that include Grossman? Because he’s not actually the “main” starter…

jeffrey d

Although Hasselbeck/Whitehurst didn’t matter since they were both ACC. Same with Favre/T. Jackson.
“Other” includes small schools, Notre Dame, and non-BCS conferences. It includes East Carolina, Deleware, ND, etc.
cabravesfan
January 2nd, 2011
5:18 pm
Not to nitpick, but Favre is not ACC…
cabravesfan

or did you mean same conference? Sorry…I just realized I have no idea where Tavaris Jackson went to school…
jeffrey d
January 2nd, 2011
5:19 pm
Wasn’t McNabb was benched? Since it’s suckiness and not injury, I counted Grossman.
Tebow/Orton, however, I wasn’t sure….because I can see the Broncos going with Tebow as their main starter next year. If you’re anti-SEC, though, you can take one away from the SEC and add one to the Big 10
jeffrey d
January 2nd, 2011

CAB – Favre went to Southern Miss, and T-Jackson went to Alabama State, so no matter who you count, it goes under “other”

Because the team plays better with PRADO leading off, or did I miss that last season? Never mess with a winning streak, and don’t juggle the line-up strictly based upon stats. rich
yeah and the year before that they were raving about how great an impact he made batting second,. he is more of a natural 2nd place hitter than leadoff hitter and McLouth is more the other way, but God forbid we should use any logic in the construction of the lineup
