Are you all speaking Cricket?
I’m happy that this will bring about the end of Ponting, especially after yesterday.
Sorry, cab. I just figured it might be fed screws and nuts. But I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know much about the care of robot dogs.
December 27th, 20109:58 pm
It also shoots lasers from it’s…nose? I can’t remember. You would like K-9. You could train him to get you beer
Are you all speaking Cricket?
You make it sound like it’s a language!
Yes, we are.
Watching MNF on TV, cricket on the comp. and commenting on a baseball blog.
December 27th, 20109:59 pm
It might as well be a foreign language! I was trying to figure out what it all meant, but gave up at about the second sentence
December 27th, 201010:00 pm
How the heck does Brees have so much time in the pocket?
How did you ever get into Cricket?
December 27th, 201010:02 pm
You would like K-9. You could train him to get you beer
Now you’re talking. Could I name him VJ?
December 27th, 201010:03 pm
NO! His name is K-9!!
December 27th, 201010:04 pm
What a coincidence – Fang was Agent K-9 on Get Smart…
December 27th, 201010:06 pm
K-9 the robot dog:
December 27th, 201010:07 pm
Cricket is certainly a foreign language to Americans. I have a friend here with whom I take an extended Baseball trip every year and I was trying to explain cricket to him once and he gave up when I told him that batsmen did not have to run when they hit the ball.
This game is so dang boring tonight.

December 27th, 201010:09 pm
Steve McP batsmen did not have to run when they hit the ball.
Then…how do they get Doubles?
Grew up watching it.
December 27th, 201010:12 pm
They run when they want to and so if they hit it far enough and away from a fielder they can choose to run according to how far the ball goes. The Melbourne Cricket Ground is so big that they there have been several all run 4’s in this game, which is quite rare.

(They should have an emoticon that just sits there, slowly blinking his eyes like, [blink…blink-blink…blink…] )
December 27th, 201010:17 pm
I went to a Gaelic Football game when I was in Ireland, and all I could figure out was that it is sort of a combination of rugby and soccer…it was fun, but had no idea what was going on
You didn’t grow up in the States, did you?
December 27th, 201010:21 pm

And I have seen cases where the fielders would rather let it run to the boundary than chase it because it is pointless anyway.Could end up being 5 otherwise.
December 27th, 201010:27 pm
My gosh, they have too many flags tonight.
All these flags they will have enough for a sail boat.
December 27th, 201010:28 pm
Good lawd, Michael Turner. A fumble on the goal line. Fudgesicles.
December 27th, 201010:29 pm
I am not too fond of Michael Turner. It seems he is too limited in his running abilities. I’d rather Matt pass every play than Michael run.
December 27th, 201010:30 pm
Am I watching the Giants again?
December 27th, 201010:31 pm
I have to admit trying to explain a game that takes 5 days to play (with over 30 hours of actual playing time) that can still end in no result is very hard unless you have been brought up with the game.
Cricket will always be my favourite game, I played it for 20 years until I left the UK in 1995. I came to the US in 2004 and have been a fan of Baseball since then, I like games where players have to think rather than react and I think that Baseball is a great example.
December 27th, 201010:32 pm
December 27th, 201010:33 pm
It’s still a 3 point game. I like our chances as long as it stays that way.
Not worried yet.
December 27th, 201010:34 pm
Never give the ball to Michael Turner.
Didn’t think so. I think it’s pretty rare to find American cricket fans that grew up here
Believe me, I understand…just trying to explain football to some of my female friends is difficult and it is a relatively uncomplicated sport (of course, even though I’ve never played it, I have a more complete understanding of the game then many people so it all makes sense to me )
December 27th, 201010:35 pm
SB, it is a three point game but we could have been up four points were it not for Michael Turner’s fumble.
I’m not worried either. Frustrated? Yes, big time.
Did you see the stat they just popped up? His first lost fumble in like 417 carries…
December 27th, 201010:37 pm
cab, I missed it, but I am speaking out of frustration.
December 27th, 201010:38 pm
I’m a 49ers fan…you want to talk frustration?
Ryan is still one hell of a QB.
December 27th, 201010:39 pm
cab, true. At least they fired their coach finally.
If only their problems were that simple…
December 27th, 201010:40 pm
Yeah, well maybe next season the 49ers will be a little better.
I really doubt coaching is the main issue for the Niners.
December 27th, 201010:42 pm
They should be better…they ARE better…Soph is correct. But I have faith in Jed York- he will get them righted soon
Soph, it’s not.
December 27th, 201010:43 pm
A consistent and steady QB would be a good start.
December 27th, 201010:45 pm
One that didn’t go all berserko on the side line at the coach too. I didn’t catch why Troy Smith behaved in that manner but it ticked me off and I’m not even a SF fan.
Soph/CAB, I’m not even going to pretend I know what is wrong with the 49ers, because I don’t. Hopefully San Fran can fix their problems for next season.
December 27th, 201010:49 pm
I dont know what cred Troy Smith of all people has to do that to the coach. Just another failure from The Ohio State University.
Brian Williams is flying right through Drew Brees missing sacks left and right.
December 27th, 201010:52 pm
Maybe he should stick to doing the Nightly News…
Singletary carried himself like a buffoonish motivational speaker. Hard to respect that as a player.
Steve from OH
December 27th, 201010:57 pm
Just another failure from The Ohio State University.
Blah blah SEC is great blah blah everyone else sucks blah blah no one allowed to get national attention but us…
December 27th, 201010:58 pm
Gotta love The Onion:
December 27th, 201010:59 pm
Great pass, Drew Baby!!!!
December 27th, 201011:02 pm
You don’t see that every day!
It’s a good thing my boy Eli padded his interception lead yesterday…
December 27th, 201011:03 pm
Steve from OH
Me no SEC. Think Happy Valley instead.
December 27th, 201011:05 pm
Think Happy Valley instead.
Didn’t The Onion write an article on your mascot, too?
December 27th, 201011:07 pm
What a catch!
Atleast we need the onion to make a joke out of us. Terrelle Pryor’ and the guys are walking punchlines.
Yay – an other INT. I’d still like a sack or two.
Yeah, Big John!
December 27th, 201011:10 pm
Espn loves them some Breesy.
Terrelle Pryor’ and the guys are walking punchlines.
Hey man, none of us are willing to claim him either.
Eh, every program has cheaters somewhere, it’s just who gets caught first. You know damn well Penn State, Michigan, Georgia, whoever it may be are breaking the rules too. Can’t reasonably expect a coach to be able to control 100 college kids with regard to every single NCAA rule.
December 27th, 201011:11 pm
nice to see the Georgia Dome rocking. How about a Falcons and Braves double dip championship in 2011???
Falcons still leading?
I loved reading DOB’s list of albums of the year.
How about getting some of the Braves to list their 3 favorite new albums this year???
December 27th, 201011:13 pm
nolie – yes, 14-10…
December 27th, 201011:15 pm
Can’t reasonably expect a coach to be able to control 100 college kids with regard to every single NCAA rule.
Of course, I agree with that. I have no doubt that these NCAA rulings are utter trash. But that doesnt stop me from enjoying the misery of buckeye fans. Something to balance all the ESPN hype, right!
December 27th, 201011:16 pm
Flipped to Chuck repeat during commercial – so great that they used Vandalay Industries…
December 27th, 201011:18 pm
SB – JoPa’s an evil old man – they’re just afraid to come down on all his atrocities – like funding libraries…gives his team an unfair advantage…
December 27th, 201011:19 pm
I can’t sit still.
December 27th, 201011:20 pm
so great that they used Vandalay Industries…
Weird coincidence. Seinfeld episode just a while back had the second-spitter episode where George was waiting for a call to Vendelay industries.
December 27th, 201011:22 pm
It always seems though like the top 5 to 10 players are the NCAA problem children. The other 70 seem to be the academic/behavioral problem children.
December 27th, 201011:23 pm
JoPa’s an evil old man – they’re just afraid to come down on all his atrocities – like funding libraries…gives his team an unfair advantage…
…..and setting high academic and personal standards.
To be fair though, his wife did paint the Nittany Lion statue orange. Blasphemy!
Our defense can’t hold them.
December 27th, 201011:24 pm
Kind of big play coming up…
Last 6 possessions – 4 punts and 2 INTs.
VJ, my heart is pumping so damn hard right now.
December 27th, 201011:25 pm
SB, I was actually referring to as of right now.
December 27th, 201011:26 pm
December 27th, 201011:27 pm
Something to balance all the ESPN hype, right!
Yawn. Same ‘ol story on the blog. Who gives a sh!t about who’s on ESPN, anyway?
December 27th, 201011:28 pm
SB – plagiarist…
Please do something, offense.
December 27th, 201011:29 pm
I’ll send you royalties.Dont worry.
December 27th, 201011:31 pm
Matty Ice lives for this. Fasten your seatbelts.
December 27th, 201011:32 pm
Good start, Matty!
December 27th, 201011:34 pm
December 27th, 201011:36 pm
Matty didnt like that there was so much time left.
Oh. My. Gosh.
Bah, he’s down.
December 27th, 201011:37 pm
December 27th, 201011:39 pm
I don’t think we’re getting the ball back.
Pardon my negativity.
December 27th, 201011:41 pm
December 27th, 201011:43 pm
Looking a little bleak right now.
