My Christmas was just so-so. I had a Christmas wish that all the morons and idiots would vanish from David’s blog. Had that come true my Christmas would have been great!

For a couple of days, the local forecasters were predicting that cab’s storm would track to the east of us. Saturday night they changed their minds and said we’d get up to a foot, possibly. That one was accurate. We received 10 inches. The storm tracked about 60 – 80 miles west of what they originally thought.
Not too far to my east it is still snowing, and they already received 20 inches! Yowser!
Lew, are you in that 20 inch category?

Good morning denizens. Hope y’all had a great holiday and hope it’s continuing on for the week for lots of you! I’m around this week if things happen with the Braves and will keep you informed….After I thaw out. The heat went out in my house last night and the guy is here fixing it now. Thank goodness it didn’t go out 24 hours ago when family was here, and I had used the last of the firewood.
Anyway, got a call or two out and will try to put together a new blog today or tomorrow.

Perhaps everyone is frozen.
Considering people are snowed in, and stranded in airports along the east coast, I suppose it would be unseemly to complain about the temperatures dropping into the twenties, with twenty MPH winds, here. Of course it would, so I’ll not do it. Maybe a change of attitude is in order………..This is bracing, invigorating weather……… It’s true, I know I have been motivated this morning, researching a warmer place to spend the winter.

My heat went out 2 weeks ago and stayed down for 6 days. Sleeping on the floor in front of the fireplace for a week was not my idea of a good time, but at least my gas bill will be lower this month.

Just so happens that the part that went bad on my heater was under a 1-year warranty, and they had replaced it on December 16th of last year. It lasted 362 days, so I got it for free, and already knew how to install it myself because it was still fresh on my mind. Didn’t have to pay anybody to do it this time. More money saved.

Just a shout out. off for a thermometer. You know what that means. The baby had a cold earlier last week. Ho, ho, ho. only got 5″ of the white stuff on this side of town. East side got 7-8″, and WILLIAMSBURG-NORFOLK got about a foot or a little better.

Just glad we’ve got nothing on the schedule tonight…after 3 days of dinners and breakfasts and lunches and family all over the place, it’ll be nice to relax with the guy, the dog, a movie, and some good steak and wine

Some idiot teeny girl was just on the local news here talking “Ya know, I tell them I love the gifts ya got me, but really I’m like this is soooo lame. HAHAHA that’s why I take it back and get money”
Ungrateful little sh***. Be glad you got anything as nobody HAS to buy you a damn thing. I know I listed my good/bad gifts, but I am thankful.

The sun has been out for a few hours now, but I don’t see the snow melting. Maybe the 16 degree temperature is playing a role.
So it looks like I’m gonna have to remove the snow myself, dang it.

Happy to report, heat is back on. Unhappy to report, I did not have the good fortune and skills of Hillbilly to fix it myself and had to fork over a chunk of cash. But at least now I can peel off some of these layers in here, and apparently not get skin cancer by sitting with my laptop on my lap. (smile)

I would love to see the Falcons play the Packers again for the NFC Championship as that game those two played was one of, if not the best. of the year. Two great all around teams on both sides of the ball with a lot of weapons. The 2 best teams in the NFC in my opinion.
