I hear that, its why I do it now b/c I know its not something I can do forever.
I would love to ski either of those places but the problem for me is they take about the same time/money to get to as Colorado. So if the trip time is the same do I choose the rockies or the Northeast.

Hey fellow bloggers and Braves fans….
Just wanted to wish everyone the best and hope they are having a wonderful Christmas so far and are with the ones you want to be with (lord knows those family visits can be brutal).
Love coming on here and chatting with you guys and gals and wanted say Merry Christmas. My girlfriend and I have the turkey cooked…started the sweet potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, vegies and having a glass of champagne.
I feel extremely fortunate.
PS and can’t wait for Braves baseball

The other day I tried to give an article from ESPN Insiders….thought I did but now looking back realized that you have to be an Insider to open the article. If Pettite doesn’t resign with Yanks they are in big trouble. I know we need D-Lowe with his 200 innings, 15 wins 4 ERA etc. with Medlin out but we could ask for alot and sell at a peak getting someone like Gardner and a good prospect. Last year we would have to eat 15 mill or so to move him. Now we can move him without paying and receive some goods in return. We could use the 15 mill next year to go after a power hitting 3rd baseman and Gardner could take McOut’s spot when he leaves. Lowe is valuable to us for next year but I worry about the 15 mill the following year if he wears down this year. Could we role the dice and have Beachy and Minor at 4 and 5?? Could we call up Tehran mid season?? Will Kris come back for the stretch run??

Twas the evening of Christmas, and all through the blog,
Not a creature was stirring, not even cab’s dog.
Then all of a sudden, from out of the blue,
There came a new comment, I wondered from who.
It wasn’t a good one, it seemed kind of sick,
I knew without looking, it must be troll Nick.
Carroll in her ‘kerchief, and Dave in his cap,
I too settled down, for a long winter’s nap.
When out on the blog, there rose such a clatter,
I sprang to refresh, to see what’s the matter.
The blog became busy, with posts of surprise,
I read what they said, not believing my eyes.

actually once in a great while there is a faux nolie making a comment, but that is a nephew and it’s usually not about baseball.
There was a No Lie around for a bit ridiculing me, but I’m pretty sure that was the same jerk that uses many names and with which I have a run in with every month or so.

cabravesfan, that storm is the tail end of what hit you. I’m still on the cut off. They are still predicting no snow, or flurries to a dusting. However, if it decides to move a tad to the west, could be up to a foot.

Not predicted as of yet. It’s hard, however, to get good local updates on a Saturday, much less a Christmas Saturday.
The storm weakened quite a bit, but now it’s getting strength again from the Atlantic. It’s going to turn into a classic “Nor’easter”. Just to the east of us is supposed to get a few inches, more depending on how far east you go. The east coast is supposed to get hammered.
It can still happen here.

The National Weather Service (according to Yahoo) says the city could get up to 15 inches on Sunday night, but it sounds like that is going to be the hardest hit area…

I talked to a buddy of mine last night that has a long holiday trip planned right into the teeth of this storm. Virginia, I think, first for skying then NYC for several days. Said he has been planning the trip for awhile. He has been to NYC several times it seems. So he saw Gregg Allman was going to be playing on Long Island and thought ‘hey, it’s right there why not’, so he nabbed tickets for the whole family.
Then he said,’Bat, you know what, they call it Long Island for a reason. It’s a 150 miles freakin’ long, 80 miles, 2 hours on the subway each way’. He cracks me up, fun guy, good friend.

cause Florida is almost a gun friendly and a whole lot warmer.
plus there is actually a liability to Vermont’s law. Since they don’t issue one other states can not reciprocate carry-wise. The other two states that do not require a permit will issue one if you wanna pay for it. That way the other 36+ states will reciprocate and you can carry concealed there on your state permit
