The Braves still need hitters. What they need to do is give up some young prospects for not so old players.

It is all about the money, and I’m afraid we don’t have the ownership that the Phillies, Red Sox and Yankees have. MLB is in trouble, and until they get a salary cap in place, it will only get worse. We are playing for the wild-card, let there be no mistake. So, even if we trade for a better than average CF, will this change? Probably not. Thus Liberty Media (whoever they are) will be content with playing for the fourth spot.

Dear Santa(Frank Wren) all I want for Christmas is for the Braves to trade for J.Upton by trading Beachy, Vizcaino, and D.Lowe but if thats to much then Dump D. Lowe to the Yanks, there desperate and will take him, so trade him for Gardner and whatever cash possible and lets go to Spring Training!!..

Even money people. Thats the odds out of Vegas on the Phillies winning the national league. in 2011. The next closest team is the Giants at 7:1.
If the Braves remain idle and do nothing…they might as well just compete for a WC Like many have said….I just wish Liberty would go on and just sell the team to someone who cares.

Its going to be Ok folks, this makes the phillies pitching better for sure, but they didn’t take off last year untill their offense finally got it together. They basicly traded Werth for Lee, but people forget we already have a rotation that is equal to theirs even after the trade (assuming everyone in both rotations are healthy), we just don’t have the big names and contracts that the media loves. We added a huge bat in uggla while they lost one in Werth. Adding Lee was a direct response to the Braves getting uggla. They know the pitching we have and have relied on us not being able to improve on a mediocre offense for the last few years, but with Heyward proveing he’s for real and the potential of Freeman and the addition of Uggla for 2011 they knew they were in trouble.

My hope is,with this new manager we can play a little hit,and run, steal bases. Our hits, runs totals are higher than the ERROR total. Why have spring training if not to hone the skills?
