you hit the nail on the head, my friend. That deal falling through is WAAAY worse news for Gonzalez than it is for Red Sox. Sox will be fine… A-Gonz will be stuck in San Diego and then moved to a team he doesn’t want to play for in July or August.

I don’t mind talking about snakes and such. My Brother picked up a copperhead head once when he was…13, I think. Ha, his Guardian Angel was with him, that’s for sure (I think he was wearing gloves when he did it…). It was pretty good sized, too, no matter what we told our Mother.

Actually, it was the fastest I’ve ever gotten my bag in Orlando. Bowman, myself and Braves PR man Brad Hainje all had our bags without delay.
Already plenty of people hanging out in lobby, waiting for morsels of info, when we checked into hotel while ago.

Not since maybe last year or before. It’s an odd fit only because we dont really need pitching. Wren says he always looking to make the club better. The money and who we would trade doesnt match up i dont think.

Zack Greinke is a lot more valuable. Greinke has a Cy Young, and Jair is coming off a subpar, injury filled season.

Dont know how many of you guys have seen the reports of Werth’s contract with the -$ if Stan Kasten is still there I gotta believe they dont make this offer. 7 yeaRS AND $ 126 MILLION, $18 million a year for 7 freaking years for a guy who has in 8 major league seasons has 120 homers and 406 rbi’s and he;s not a career 280 hitter. AN this os for his age 32-38 years……good God almighty what where they thinking……and Matt Diaz can’t even get a contract for a couple million geez!

I think Greinke has more upside then Jair. I dont think Jair will ever win a CY either. I think Hanson might have a litte more upside then both. I dont see Jair ever training like Doc or Lowe.

yep. Offseason activity has definitely been ticked up a notch this season. Both good and bad in my opinion. Good to not have a long lull between World Series and trades/signings/activity… but also means that late December and Jan. and Feb. could be pretty long and cold and boring for MLB fans. We’ll see…
