Sounds like it’ll be a nice Thanksgiving there…I’ll be going to Knoxville to see the aunts, uncles, and cousins
November 24th, 20109:09 pm
you might need an entrance, like they do in Rasslin…
November 24th, 20109:10 pm
I’m not as sure – I’ll be meeting a lot of relatives for the first time…
Tomahawkin (I'm Kicking New Flava In Ya Ear)
November 24th, 20109:13 pm
I need nomination titles/themes for the 2nd Annual Blogger awards (Other than best blogger, worst blogger, etc) which I will post in a month or so…Feel free to chime in with any suggestions…? and better yet post them on D.O.B.’s Facebook blog group
We need to make this a live event, I’m dying to wear a pink suit…
November 24th, 20109:15 pm
That’s what I need to do. Shut out all the lights, set up some pyro, have some mean guitar music playing, walk in solemnly and put Uncle Brad in a sharpshooter
November 24th, 20109:16 pm
Uh-oh. What’s the game plan? Are you going into this sober?
Then grab a turkey leg
November 24th, 20109:18 pm
VJ – I wouldn’t be too worried about it. You’re a pretty interesting guy. I’d mention one thing that I think is pretty cool, but I think you might get mad about that
I just met some relatives for the first time, and it went splendidly
November 24th, 20109:22 pm
Going into it – not coming out of it…
November 24th, 20109:24 pm
November 24th, 20109:25 pm
T-Hawkin’, you’re “dying to wear a pink suit”? (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.)
November 24th, 20109:27 pm
You’re going to announce the Bloggies wearing a pink suit?
November 24th, 20109:32 pm
I shall return shortly – almost time to head home…
November 24th, 20109:36 pm
I’d mention one thing that I think is pretty cool, but I think you might get mad about that (jeffrey d)
I shall return shortly – almost time to head home… (Venice Jim)
OK, jeffrey d, wait a few more minutes then spill it
November 24th, 20109:37 pm
On the other hand, I guess I can’t leave until my ride gets here…
November 24th, 20109:38 pm
Oh I thought it was obvious…it’s about a game show
November 24th, 20109:39 pm
Oh, you watched the Price Is Right today, too?
a long journey to El Segundo
I left my wallet in El Segundo
Left my wallet in El Segundo
Left my wallet in El Segundo
I gotta get it, got-gotta get it
November 24th, 20109:40 pm
I guess I’m not on here enough to catch that. Can I have another hint?
November 24th, 20109:41 pm
November 24th, 20109:42 pm
Ride here – back soon…
November 24th, 20109:45 pm
Still need another hint?
Jeopardy (Venice Jim)
Good hint! I think I have it now.
November 24th, 20109:47 pm
Good Thoughts about the Game Shows…I was only big into Wheel of Fortune because of Vanna White ( Is she a Milf?) and Jeporady
I might have to do “Survey Time!” for next season before games on here…
November 24th, 20109:50 pm
This offseason has seemed extremely slow. I guess after the non-tender deadline things might pick up.
November 24th, 20109:54 pm
…Vanna White ( Is she a Milf?)
T-Hawkin’ – I have no idea what Milf actually means, but I don’t have to look it up either. My answer is YES!
Tom – it means, uh….an attractive mother
November 24th, 20109:56 pm
Way to be politically correct.
This offseason has seemed extremely slow.
P’cola, you mean overall, don’t you?
November 24th, 20109:57 pm
Still, YES, jeffrey d.
November 24th, 20109:58 pm
I try to keep it clean, P’cola
November 24th, 201010:00 pm
Yes its overall been slow. Even the rumors of whose interested in who are quiet. I’m hoping it picks up soon.
November 24th, 201010:03 pm
I’ve been away from a lot of what’s been happening in baseball, other than the Braves, due to work. Would you say, P’cola, that the Braves have been right up there with being the most active?
November 24th, 201010:06 pm
The Braves made the biggest splash for sure. The most active has definitely been Detroit. Everything has been abnormally quiet. Just a little bit of whose interested in who. Whats been unusual to me is how quiet the Werth and Crawford front has been. Its almost been dead.
We could always just make up our own rumors…
November 24th, 201010:10 pm
Carl Crawford in left field!
November 24th, 201010:11 pm
Justin Upton to Braves for KK, Nate Mclouth, and Derek Lowe. Gives us what we want and takes away what we don’t.
November 24th, 201010:14 pm
Jeffrey D is so adorable, thinking I would be doing the cooking! And for the record, I plan on not being sober after about 20 minutes of our arrival to my brother’s house… (we are bringing the beer- I made sure we got some of my favorite )
November 24th, 201010:15 pm
more like jj nate prado and a prospect.
I was thinking an elaborate trade involving 5 teams.
We trade Kawakami, McLouth, Gonzalez and Canizarez.
We get Pujols, Braun, Sizemore and Greinke.
We’ll let the other teams fight over who gets Kawakami.
November 24th, 201010:16 pm
Gives us what we want and takes away what we don’t.
Better throw in the cow too
20 minutes? Wow…
November 24th, 201010:17 pm
Not wasting any time. Throwing ‘em back. Bottoms up!
Sounds like a heck of a THanksgiving party
November 24th, 201010:19 pm
I’m thinking about going to a bar, but its a Wednesday…I wish I lived in Midtown or Buckhead or Cobb County…Gwinnett County Sucks!
Roman Gal ur cool….
November 24th, 201010:21 pm
Hey, cab, welcome back. I saw your “Bushy Tom” comment from earlier. I have everything backwards, I’m afraid. Long hair and beard in the hot summer … short hair and relatively clean-shaven (mustache) in the cold winter.
November 24th, 201010:22 pm
I’m too cool for school.
I’m too schooled to be cool.
November 24th, 201010:23 pm
I’m not actually sure I can drink that fast, but I will certainly try…only 6 Fire Rock beers and I intend to drink them all
No kidding! I assume you have to meet with clients in the winter, but seeing as how it’s cold…
November 24th, 201010:24 pm
Almost nobody works tomorrow. It should be hoppin’ all over the place.
November 24th, 201010:25 pm
This Wed. is an exception to others. I imagine most are off tomorrow so I’m sure the bars/clubs are packing out tonight.
November 24th, 201010:26 pm
Yeah, cab. Work and wilderness have a lot to do with it.
November 24th, 201010:27 pm
November 24th, 201010:28 pm
One of the advantages of working at home…
November 24th, 201010:31 pm
P’cola, watch it! Someone may accuse us of being a.k.a.’s.
November 24th, 201010:33 pm
So it looks like the Nats are pulling back on Adam Dunn. Man its going to be nice not having him, Werth or Uggla to face in the division this year.
It’s ok. Everyone knows you’re just the Dentz one’s alter ego.
November 24th, 201010:34 pm
As may be obvious since my ride has posted, I have made the arduous trek home from work…
I have nothing interesting to say, but I feel bound to report that I am readying my cast iron skillet for duty…
November 24th, 201010:39 pm
You making pie for everyone?
November 24th, 201010:40 pm
It’s ok. Everyone knows you’re just the Dentz one’s alter ego.
I know that you’re only kidding, but watch what you say about my all-time blog- idol. I’m no Wayne, but I can be sensitive also.
November 24th, 201010:41 pm
RG – I volunteered to bring a dish, and got stuck with bringing beer – I could have cooked a flipppin’ turkey for less than the beer cost (admittedly, someone else paid for the beer)…
I actually tried to write out L-e-n-t-z, but the filter wouldn’t let me. It’s the blog’s fault, really.
November 24th, 201010:42 pm
Also, my only pie cooking option is pecan (Silver Palate recipe)…
November 24th, 201010:43 pm
And truth be told, I don’t really like pecan pie… (ducks and covers to avoid the outrage)
Well, if y’all need anything I can mail ya a package of Ramen.
November 24th, 201010:44 pm
It’s ok. I don’t like it either. Actually, I don’t really like pie in general.
November 24th, 201010:45 pm
Now BamaBrave doesn’t think I’m cool anymore…
One of the advantages of working at home… (cabravesfan)
Yes, my dear, but always working at home. At least I get a chance to see hieroglyphics on my walls for a few months.
I would’ve replied to you sooner, but I had to look up the spelling of hieroglyphics.
November 24th, 201010:47 pm
I said that ur cool lol
November 24th, 201010:48 pm
I like some pies…particularly chocolate mousse and cherry, but those don’t seem to be popular at Thanksgiving
I’m not sure I follow… (maybe that 3rd glass of wine is kicking in)- I assume you are referring to your cave? I should point out that “work” for me usually lasts until about noon, and then I’m free for the rest of the day
November 24th, 201010:49 pm
I think that’s quite all right, Roman Gal. Who do you think coined him with the name “Dentz”?
I’m not sure what the first-person equivalent of “ur” is…
November 24th, 201010:50 pm
Well, it was obviously not you. You could never be so cruel…
November 24th, 201010:51 pm
ok roman Gal you are cool……..happy?
November 24th, 201010:52 pm
Ah, who am I kidding?
I’ve become a pro at offending people. It’s my specialty. I was actually thinking about making it my new minor.
November 24th, 201010:53 pm
Yes, cab. I’m referring to what you call the cave. Work has one look, the wilderness (cave) has another.
If you keep drinking that wine, you may be to hungover to get drunk tomorrow.
November 24th, 201010:54 pm
You’re right. I am cool.
I think I need a blanket.
November 24th, 201010:55 pm
Where is everyone?
Should they all be abuzz about the new rumor that the Braves are getting Pujols, Braun, Sizemore and Greinke?
November 24th, 201010:56 pm
I can pace myself My work attire generally consists of sweats (or pajama pants) and whatever shirt is clean…it works for me
November 24th, 201010:57 pm
Besides, the best cure for a hangover is more alcohol
November 24th, 201010:58 pm
It must have been in one of my weaker moments. It certainly isn’t a moment I’m proud of … but I’m sure you, of all people, can understand.
November 24th, 201010:59 pm
not sizemore carl crawford!
November 24th, 201011:00 pm
You bet your buttercakes I can understand.
It’s why I like to make a lot of blonde jokes when cab is around…
November 24th, 201011:01 pm
I’m not sure if that cures it. But it can certainly put it off for a while.
November 24th, 201011:02 pm
That’s what Black Friday is for
November 24th, 201011:10 pm
OK. I won’t expect too many early blog-comments from you on Friday, right?
November 24th, 201011:15 pm
November 24th, 201011:17 pm
How often do you see early comments from me anyways????
November 24th, 201011:19 pm
Got a question for everybody! If mac has a healthy year with no vision setbacks, how many of you think he could hit .290 with 30 HR ?
November 24th, 201011:21 pm
That is such a college stereotype. Are you also about to play ultimate frisbee on the quad?
November 24th, 201011:22 pm
cabravesfan, I meant early for you.
VJ, up yours! I’ve never been accused of winning any spelling bee’s. However, put me up against uga-brave and ward, then I have a shot.
Hey, VJ, I’m just listening to Arlo Guthrie’s, “Alice’s Restaurant”, for the 5th time since Friday, on satellite radio. They said they’ve played it 6 times so far. So I’ve missed one.
Do you like it?
November 24th, 201011:23 pm
I’ll bet you’re typing from a futon
November 24th, 201011:24 pm
No, but I was thinking about going streaking down the freshman halls.
November 24th, 201011:25 pm
The futon is on the other side of the room!
November 24th, 201011:26 pm
Right under the loft, right?
November 24th, 201011:27 pm
If mac has a healthy year with no vision setbacks, how many of you think he could hit .290 with 30 HR ?
McFann, cabravesfan and myself, for 3.
Nope. I sold my loft last year. It’s over by the lava lamp.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
