MIBravesFan–Nice on KJ. I agree that Heyward does seem too nice. These are the types of things about which one thinks, when trying to finish grading papers to give back tomorrow.”
That’s got to be a tough thing to do. I once graded some grade school kids’ essays, and I really didn’t know how to grade them. Against each other or against what I would expect? It’s a good thing I’m not a teacher!
Craig not Greg. double
November 16th, 201012:02 am

Take care of that nolie. Git to pull the plaug here. Brian carry on.
November 16th, 201012:20 am
So DOB, have you talked to Wren? Do you get the sense that they’re going to give the kid Heyward a shot in RF on opening day, or are they going to do what they did with Hanson last year?
Oh wait. Never mind. That was a question from last winter. Sorry.

Horrific. Love me some MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. What a stinker of a game.
November 16th, 20101:04 am
How you guy’s doing? Back from work!Braves are looking at Pat Burrel, and no more news yet! No brainer on Posey winning the Rookie Of The Year Award.
November 16th, 20101:11 am
NO to PAT ‘THE MACHINE’ BURRELL.

Finally got to my hotel after midnight, turn on ESPN and it’s a hoops marathon to open the season. Love it. Memphis-UM is a one-point game at halftime.
And they just showed the highlight of the — gulp — Ga Tech loss to Kennesaw State. Wow.
OK, I’m going to finish this blog I began during my flight delay at ATL airport, then get a few hours sleep before heading over to meetings hotel in morning.
Alfanzo Soriano: Might not be a bad idea? He has speed, and can hit the long ball.Wren has done deals with the Cubs before. Alfanzo plays left field, and has good defense.
November 16th, 20101:15 am
The Giants’ player we should be looking at is Huff. Hits lefties very well and is a free agent-made only 3 mill. this year. I think a lot better signing than Burrell would be.
November 16th, 20101:18 am
I just hope Wren will get us a hitter without trading to many prospcts.I’d rather he sign some one.
November 16th, 20101:19 am
Huff: Wouldn’t be a bad idea either.
November 16th, 20101:22 am
The thing that I find most surprising is that so few votes were actually cast by the BBWAA members (29). Their membership numbers well over 100. — Steve McP
Steve, that’s not how the voting works for BBWAA awards. Only 32 votes for each award (28 in AL), two from each city for each of four awards. That’s it. Doesn’t matter how many BBWAA members there are, only two vote from each city for each award.
Heyward got nine first-place votes, 20 second-place votes, two third-place votes, and wasn’t on the three-person ballot of one voter. That’s 32.
November 16th, 20101:24 am
My wish list: Uggla, Ludwick, Zimmerman,Alfanzo Soriano,or B.J. Upton. Any one of these hitters would be great for me.
November 16th, 20101:31 am
That is a WISH list?
November 16th, 20101:35 am
DOB: I saw The Walking Dead too. I think it’s one of the best t.v. series of the year!
November 16th, 20102:00 am
Brewers are trading bats for arms, and i wouldn’t be suprised if wren traded for a power hitter. Maybe Cory Hart or Ryan Branyan. Nothing is mentioned, but wouldn’t mind any of those hitters.
November 16th, 20102:32 am
November 16th, 20102:53 am
Any hitter i’ll be happy with As long as they can hit or have speed.Interesting on the Brewers though.Lollygagger: I would much rather have my wish list anwered with one of those hitters.
November 16th, 20102:56 am
ward, I’m impressed with your leads. You seem to be scooping DOB every time you post! Get this guy a sports reporting job somewhere, stat.
November 16th, 20102:58 am
What do you think about the Uggla rumors? I have always liked his bat and toughness.
We might get some clarification in the GM meetings on a few questions, but then again, it might be another month before we know anything.
We just need to exercise our patience.
Insomnia sucks big time!!!
Gonna try to go back to bed after working about 10 sudoku puzzles……..
November 16th, 20103:04 am
I like the way Uggla hits, and he’s made some web jems on ESPN. I also made a mistake Ryan Braun from the Brewers. Not Ryan Branyan.Uggla could play second, and play Prado in left, and use him at third.
November 16th, 20103:06 am
I really like Alfanzo Soriano. If Wren made a small trade for him.
November 16th, 20103:08 am
No trades, small or otherwise, involving Soriano. Are you aware of his contract?
November 16th, 20103:10 am
I’ll see you guy’s tomorrow.Patience is hard for me too! “Go!!! Braves!!!.”
November 16th, 20103:14 am
not on one ballot with three other names? I figured Posey to win it, but that is pretty strange. any idea who the three he voted for were?
November 16th, 20103:15 am
Contract or not! Soriano is one heck of a player. I would risk a small trade for him. Owl Hunter: You have a good. Talk to you guy’s tomorrow.”Go!!! Braves!!!.”
November 16th, 20103:16 am
Educate yourself regarding baseball contracts, salaries, and team payrolls. Thank you. Goodnight.
November 16th, 20103:30 am
19 million is a lot for Soriano, but i think it would be worth it. nite all, and peace….
Frank from KS (now living in CO)
November 16th, 20103:31 am
19 million is a lot for anyone ward, not just Soriano…(LOL)
November 16th, 20103:42 am
and Soriano is no longer worth that. they would love to move that contract. 18mil per for 4 more years. Yikes!!
