They traded for Moss right after the baseball season ended, and he got cut before the World Series ended.

Ahhhhh

Late afternoon sunlight and steaks ready on the grill here on the outskirts of Atlanta….I’d give it up in a second for a windy, rain swept World Series evening against the Rangers down at The Ted.
See ya’ll.

haggard-

I’m not sure if “proud” is accurate, but they did manage to win :)
(True story- I had to “watch” via the gameday option on NFL.com so I wasn’t watching the live action, but when the Broncos scored late in the 4th to make it an 8 point game, I thought to myself “there is still enough time for the 49ers to find a way to blow this game.” I had to reboot my slow computer and when I pulled it back up, I saw “TOUCHDOWN DENVER” followed by “touchdown nullified by penalty for illegal block below the waist.” If Knoshawn Mareno does not fall and have a 49ers D-lineman basically fall over him, the game is very likely tied and I bash myself into unconsciousness…but such is the life of a 49er fan :D )

As much as I want to get rid of corporate ownership, the new owner of the Rangers is showing why you have to be careful of what you wish for when you demand an individual owner. So many of them seem to go through a rough 5, 10 year period in the beginning where their egos make them say and do lots of dumb things

Now wait–he says as the steaks are ready, but feels young McFann’s retort is too important to ignore at this crucial juncture–am I not the one who pointed out so many times how much your mann was growing as a player this season despite some bloggers’ insistence on measuring his worth only by sometimes irrelevant statistics?

And who changed her name on a whim to that of an junior league wannabe who aspires to snatch her mann’s hard earned crown as the best catcher in baseball.

Yet–as your personal bodyguard, a position I took on only with Lew’s blessing in an attempt to have someone closer to home bring you Coca-Cola Icees and chase away would be suitors totally unfit for a young woman of your lineage; yes, I must say, you’re always right Lady McFann.

And who changed her name on a whim to that of an junior league wannabe who aspires to snatch her mann’s hard earned crown as the best catcher in baseball.

Reminds me of one of my favorite Barney Fife lines ever— “It was a whim…Are you gonna question a whim? No, seriously…I thought since BMac was having trouble at that point and Mauer wasn’t, a name change from me might reverse things just a touch. I only did it out of love for BMac… :P

yes, I must say, you’re always right Lady McFann.

Hahahaha! No, no, no…don’t deceive yourself so! I’ve hit many a wrong note in my little time, believe me! Once in a while, I get lucky…

Concerning the world Series….

It’s been disappointing. I expected better out of the Rangers. After all, they whipped the Rays and Yankees to get here. So hats off to the Giants pitching, it has been dominant during their three wins.

I have a large number of cassette tapes that have a lot of music similar to the list you gave me (my favorite). My father made most of the collection up, and then I added to them. The Kenwood cassette player that I used to plug into my stereo system has been on my “fix it pile”, for a long, long time.

When I got to the last song on your list by “Spyro Gyra”, I thought, OK, that’s it … try to fix the Kenwood. And so I took it apart and found the problem. Now it’s as good as new. Then, I went to one of my many storage rooms and found the old cassette cabinet. “Spyro Gyra” was the first one I listened to. It has been so long that it’s almost like hearing them again for the first time.

So, for all that, I want to thank you.

FALL BALL

ARIZONA

CF CORY HARRICHAK has pulled an o’fer afternoon. He went 0-3 with 1 BB, and 1 SO as his average nose-dives to a merely stratospheric .391

SS TYLER PASTORNICKY DNP – Coach’s decision. PR in the ninth.

RHP reliefer BENINO PRUNEDA has joined the D-DOGS. He had a solid season in A+ ball, not quite as well upon promotion to AA JACKSON. In ‘ZONA gave up a hit in 1.0 IP, 0 BB, 2 SO, but was unscored upon in his first outing. But-t-t-t, he only gets through 1.1 IP in his second outing of work before he’s toast. Today 1.1 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 1 SO, 7.71 ERA.

About all the rumors swirling around Colby Rasmus possibly being traded….

It’s a bunch of horse sh!t, pure and simple and I’ll put my two cents in as to why.

Come 2012 the Cardinals will have 53 million tied up in Holliday, Carpenter, Wainwright and Lohse. Then there is the likely 20 to 25 million per season they will cough up for Albert Pujols. So ya’ll see what I’m getting at? There is no way the Red Birds allow a young, cheap, talented player like Rasmus to be traded away, when considering the financial implications of the above mentioned five players. No way in hell.

I can’t speak for richbrave, nolie, but I’m trying to listen to them when I can. Trying to match up their albums, starting in the beginning, with their songs takes a bit of googling. YouTube only gives you a smattering of songs off each album.

And, I’ve also got other work to do on the computer.

And, I defrosted a fridge. No, not a real old one, but a small one. One that’s the next size up from what you’d probably see in a motel room. I use it downstairs in my gym/rec room (which now looks more like a wreck room) to keep me from running upstairs every time I want a beverage. Ha, after I put everything back in it, I forgot to plug it back in. Fortunately, I remembered that I forgot.
