Watching Feliz and Andrus in a Ranger’s uni makes my blood BOIL. MBBF
Andrus doesn’t bother me at all, a good post season does not a hitter make, ask Lempke.
His defense fell off a cliff this year and he hit 643 in one of the best hitters parks around-likely less than that if he were here.
Nothing about any of that even slightly bothers me, let alone boils my blood.
I do miss Feliz but we have 2 or three others that are probably almost as good.
Adam Rubin got a bunch of us to give him some big and/or bad contracts for each MLB team, and he compiled them all in a comprehensive report for ESPN.com:
YES!! Get to listen to Buck & McCarver all series.
McCarver: “It was a hiiiiiigh changeup that stayed in the hitters eyyyyyes ….that’s whyyyyy it hit hiiigh off the CF wall. Excuse me, it was a hiiiigh sliiiider, same difference ….changeup, sliiider. There’s no difference is EITHER one of those pitches, Joe.”
So, I’m talking to my swing guru, the Maharishi Yogi Berra, on the golf course and we start discussing the DH, and how many folks have not seen a World Series without the Designated Hitter.
Sad.
Anyway, I told him I needed a Designated Driver.
Analyzing my swing he said, “Quit meditating over your swing and establish a stronger core. Let’s go get a six-pack”
Are you aware of any GM that would trade anything for a 37 year old coming off major knee surgery that is still owed $28 million over the next 2 years? I’m thinking no. (Not that I think they would even try to trade Chipper…besides, he’s a 10-and-5 guy so even if Wren wanted to trade him, I doubt it would happen)
LTBF: Keep trying. But those who read the blog know I didn’t “start the talk” about trading Prado. What I wrote was what St. Louis would likely ask for in a trade for Rasmus, according to a person familiar with the Cardinals’ needs and their thinking. If you’d prefer not to see things like that, if they shock you or disturb you, as seems to be the case, you might just want to avoid Hot Stove talk altogether.
Or at least you might want to save getting worked up over the Prado thing until you hear the Braves have actually entertained the thought of trading him, or someone covering the Braves suggests the Braves should trade him, something like that. Right now, you’re leaping to conclusions and acting as if a simple this-is-where-the-Cardinals-would-likely-begin-such-discussions is an actual trade rumor. It is not.
Not that anybody’s watching the Hawks/Grizzlies, but I went to a Grizzlies game with my dad last season (he lives in Memphis) and he pointed out that every now and then there’s a split second flash through the stadium. Some newpaper has an agreement with the FedEx Arena, and every time they take a picture, they get that flash for optimal results.
I might not have noticed if he didn’t say anything, but now that I know, it’s all you see!
Infante for President: Barbaro has not come up in any conversations I’ve had invidually with team officials or that we as a group had with Wren after the season. I think it’s fair to say he’s not prominent in Braves plans, just a year older. Classis “Quad-A” player, as they’re often referred to. Can tear up Triple-A pitching, but hasn’t convinced anyone that he can do same against big-league pitching. He’s also a bad defensive player.
I actually meant to put a at the end of my comment about you p*ssing me off…I know you were kidding (I hope. I’d hate to have to hunt you down and feed you to my dog…)

Justice ahead of Andruw? Really? Andruw was by far a better fielder, he hit 100 or so more HR, 200 more RBI, etc in just one more season than Justice.
Justice hit for a better average, but that was about it. Halle Berry only counts for so many points. murph
yeah she’s great, but not great enough to put David ahead of Andruw, not even counting Justice’s PEDs history.
