MIBravesFan, I highly doubt there was another blogger on here called Trey. However, there could have been, but I don’t think so considering it happened right after I got into it with Coach who was calling Bobby overrated then tried to bash him, DOB and Conrad under the moniker I use.

The biggest reason why I want Diory in there is he might be our generation’s next Sandy Amoros or Al Gionfriddo…

Or even a Francisco Cabrera II for the new millenium!

Thanks for all of the quotes DOB.

Also, just want to say thank you for all you have done this year. You give us the best coverage in baseball, and I think I speak for everyone on this blog (even the negative ones). I spend an enormous amount of time reading just about everything you write, and I don’t know what I would do without all the info/entertainment you provide.

Keep at it, and I really hope that you stay on this beat for years to come, because we are lucky; no one does it better! Thanks man.

Wow,

DOB what are you turning into, Braves PR or Brooks Conrard Publicist? I don’t think I’ve ever read such an “agenda drive blog” from you before, as if to prove a point…Brooks Conrad is good man (I’m sure he is, was before any of this) and he’s so well liked, and look he’s helped the Braves with his bat throughout the season (which nobody here has said otherwise, guy’s turned himself into a pretty good PH).

Still doesn’t change the fact that he’s been a butcher in the field as of late and cost us the game (or Bobby Cox did by leaving him in there at 2B). Either way Bobby has the majority of the blame, but Conrad has the blame for failing to make a routine grounder into an out.

Instead of focusing on tonight’s game we get a BROOKS CONRAD themed blog today…I would have went with a question BOBBY COX blog (on why he over managed like crazy in last night’s game)…but it’s easier to just defend Conrad, after all he’s such a good guy.

We could use your talents out west for either the OC Register or the San Diego Union Tribune if you ever get tired of humid summers or below freezing winter nights. Correct me if I am wrong, but the last time I checked baseball was played by a team of 9 men. The game is to be won and/or lost by the efforts of those 9 men. Brooks Conrad is just one of those 9 men. We have rookies misplaying balls in the outfield, veterans trying to be heros and swinging for the seats, only to pop out, strike out or ground out into a double play. Last night’s game was not simply lost by 1 man. It was lost by a group of 9 men.

I’ve been off today after being at the game yesterday evening. It was heartbreaking, but we live to play another day. I’m sitting here watching one of my absolute forever favorite movies – and it’s baseball-related. For Love of the Game. Will flip to the game in a few, and hubby has agreed to let me have the TV tonight.

Regarding Brooks, I am ashamed to say that I was one who started booing at the clip of him hitting the grand slammy. I immediately realized that if it weren’t for Brooksie, we wouldn’t be in the playoffs at all. I hang my head in shame for booing him. I did post to his Facebook page today and tell him we still love him.

In reference to Conrad, I’m glad that he is not playing tonight. Not because he has screwed up past the point of repair in this series, but because I’ve wanted Glaus in there. I said it before that Glaus was in the middle of our best output this season and we need him so bad now. Doesn’t mean that we’ll get it now, but we sure as hell won’t with him on the bench.
And DOB, thanks for posting that picture of a dejected Conrad. You guys need to look at that pic and put yourself in his shoes. If that were you, how would you feel knowing that you let an entire Braves Nation down? Personally, I could care less if the Braves win these next two games, but I hope they can only because I don’t want Conrad to carry that guilt with him. Guilt is a somb!tch to deal with.
