If we had a strong hitting LF’er, I’d be OK with him in CF next year. He has a 6 million dollar option (not happening) w/ a 500K buyout. Might he sign for a reasonable contract for a year or so? Dude can play the outfield.
I agree, but I’m hoping that Schafer has a resurgence. I still think he has a chance to be really good offensively. Defensively, he’s already there.

Bumgarner’s thrown 50 pitches in three innings. This is more like what Braves did when at their best all season, working pitch counts and getting to opponents’ bullpen by 6th inning

MFIN04 is right…Heyward has to be more aggresive early!! He watches fastballs down the middle on opening pitch…and EVERY time it seems he swings at sliders near the dirt

Not to throw more on Jason, he is a rookie after all, but even his hit was not squared up. Is he hurting, or is he just not ready for the moment? It seems that he is either hurting or just hit another slum at the worst possible time. his struggles started in the last series at home against Philly.

Remember that earlier in the season, Bobby had to get on him because he wasn’t more aggressive. He followed that by going on a hot streak.
