I said it earlier that I would’ve like to see Hinske in this game, but if not, I’m glad it’s Ankiel. But, does anyone else get the idea that Ankiel approach to hitting is a pitchers approach? Swing hard in case you make contact.

I’da bet a Ferrari against a Krystal (no cheese) two-months ago, that those words, in that particular order, would never be attributed to myself.

Well, we cleared the pitcher and made Bumgarner throw a lot of pitches, so that inning wasn’t a total loss. If Lowe keeps pitching like he has been, we’ll have the lead by the 5th inning.

I just keep hoping and praying that this team can get some sort of break out with the bats and start scoring runs. Its been so long since they just went into a game and scored runs consistently.

If Lowe can pitch away, that should minimize Glaus’ opportunities. I think he’ll be OK on the routine stuff. Just don’t expect a lot of sparkling plays from him.

It worked for Ricky on Friday night, I guess. I don’t think he’ll ever be anything more than that. Swing hard. K a lot. Hit a few long ones.
If we had a strong hitting LF’er, I’d be OK with him in CF next year. He has a 6 million dollar option (not happening) w/ a 500K buyout. Might he sign for a reasonable contract for a year or so? Dude can play the outfield.
