I love your excitement, even if it’s sarcasm.
Freeman’s bat speed is tremendous.
That’s why I would have hoped you would recognize I’m not one of those people. But yeah, at least you thought it might be a joke — which, of course, it was. Conrad is the reason this team is where it is.

WIll Freeman make the postseason roster?
McFann :Ô: :Ô: :ô:
Way to go Freddie!
That ball was crushed. Off a pretty good lefty reliever. Good to see.
I wish I could throw a baseball like that.
Philly Phanatic's man lover
September 29th, 20107:11 pm
Has anyone seen my slave Philly Phanatic? He is late for our session. Please if you see him, tell him to come home. This is urgent as there is something about to blow ! HEYYYYYYY
These ESPN announcers today have been pretty intelligent in regards to the Braves…not like the usual crap the Sunday Night Guys say.
Freddue and JHey get the same response from fans as Frenchy did. I hope this love affair lasts longer.
I really need a save from Wags today, so it would be only fitting that the Braves finally score here with a RISP…
September 29th, 20107:12 pm
Time for Jason to get an RBI here.
If I ever have a son who plays Big League baseball, I’m telling him to try to get the ball he hit for his first career Double for me.
Like I did with Nick, I’ve come to the conclusion that Mitchell is just f’n with all of us. The way he comes in and rains on anything positive the Braves have done or might be about to do …. bringing up 1996 or 2006 or whatever … I’m fairly convinced now he’s a Phillies fan or a Mets fan. Because he seemingly gets NO JOY from watching the Braves win.
Coach (2011 or Bust)
McCann, Freeman, Heyward and McLouth, all regulars and all left handed.
That’s half the line up. Dan Uggla’s big right handed bat would be absolutely perfect in the four hole.
September 29th, 20107:13 pm
Long ball coming from Heyward!
What happened with the no lefties in Marlins pen? Was that just for the 11 inning game or what?
I Miss Ted Turner
W/hat happened to Nick?
Nick says those things to get people angry. I’m pretty sure Mitchell believes everything he says
I wish Freddie OR Heyward was right handed…
Swing Jason, Swing!
September 29th, 20107:14 pm
Lovin’ the “Lets Go Heyward” chants.
Come on, J-Hey…
Good cut Kiddo!
C’mon guys. If he is at your house behind my back, I am gonna whip him ! I may whip you if you are hiding him. Send him home now !

Stankiel Is Up! Inning Over!
GD bombs dropped!
Bleh. Had a chance on that 3-1 fastball. Just fouled it back.
Can’t believe Ohman even gave him a chance with Ankiel on deck.
Here comes Stankiel!
So, anybody else hear Ohman’s “God D…” there?
C’mon Rick DAMN!
“Stankiel Is Up! Inning Over!”
Rick Ankiel won’t be back in 2011.
I believe we must be kidding ourselves if Kimbrel is not next years closer. He has similar stuff with Venters, but he has that look and killer instinct that tells the hitter, you don’t have a chance (like Wagner). Venters looks like a friendly guy.
September 29th, 20107:16 pm
Oh, come on Ankiel and let Troy come up and jack one outta there!!!
Rick Ankile might not be back in the big leagues, period, in 2011.
September 29th, 20107:17 pm
Man, he’s owning these lefties right now. A double off the wall and two walks.
Pinch-hit McCann here dont ya? Now that a righty is coming in?
Nice to see Ankiel actually get on base. Would love to see Troy get a slam here!
ankiel in the 3 hole!!!!! and he walk. big troy now with the salami!
Lets go Troy!
What if Glaus runs into one here?
September 29th, 20107:18 pm
Braves need a hit like this desperately.
Then it will be a grand slam.
I finally had a chance to sit actually read the blog from today, great one David!
Ohman trying to help out his old buds
September 29th, 20107:19 pm
chillidog Pinch-hit McCann here dont ya? Now that a righty is coming in?
“What if Glaus runs into one here?”
Not sure if you can use the words “Glaus” and “run” in the same sentence.
chilidog75, I’m sure somebody will give Ankiel an invite to spring training, and he will most definitely end up either in triple A or on somebody’s bench.
September 29th, 20107:20 pm
Crap! I really wanted to see Troy get a chance to do something.
I Miss Ted Turner
L O L
Bobby’s Cox, I guess the last four years were baby steps to a possible wild card spot.
We haven’t won anything yet folks.
Notice how we score four runs and win easily?
I still don’t see anything to get too excited about.
We score three or four runs and the game is over but we can hardly even do that unless we’re at home and somebody steps up with a big hit.
This team, the way they’re playing, their inability to execute the most basic fundamentals of baseball, is not going to beat the Giants.
Hell, they lost four of six to the Nationals. They probably couldn’t even beat the Padres.
I’m pretty sure Mitchell believes everything he says
that would make him an <b<incredibly stupid person
Coach – I agree we need a power hitting LF, but Uggla is not the answer, for a number of reasons. As RemoW said, he sometimes has issues defensively playing 2nd base. That said, he wants to play 2nd base and has made it clear he does not want to move. Further, last I heard the Marlins were actually in negotiations to sign him to an extension, which one would imagine they’re under some pressure to do given the info that has come out about how they’ve been hoarding money instead of spending it on player payroll. Further, he made his MLB debut in 06 so he isn’t going to be a FA this off-season, and given what Florida wanted from the Braves for Cody Ross, imagine what they would want for Dan Uggla.
Come on Ski!!!!!!!!!
September 29th, 20107:21 pm
The future is on the basepaths for the Braves … Freeman, Heyward and ….. well some other dude.
Ankle will definitely be in MLB next year.
September 29th, 20107:22 pm
Good AB ’ski!
Hell Yeah! We will take that!
Sweet! Insurance run.
Thank you, thank you very much!
I think Marlins just laid down for us this series >_>
I guess obp does count for something.
Does Gonzo slam his bat here after the pop up? Or toss it 20 feet toward the dugout?
Might as well hit a GS here Gonzo!!!
No save for wags today
September 29th, 20107:23 pm
I like the way Snitker sent Freddie home.
Does Beachy pitch Friday?
Mitchell, you wouldn’t get excited on a rollercoaster. You wouldn’t get excited if you won the lottery. You wouldn’t get excited if your hair was on fire.
You’d somehow complain about the first 2 and blame Bobby for the third
Might as well put them away here.
Even With a Big Lead I Still don’t Trust FarnsWorthLess
“Does Gonzo slam his bat here after the pop up? Or toss it 20 feet toward the dugout?”
I wish he would’ve stepped into that last pitch.
I’m glad Esco ain’t up here.
Yes…as of now the rotation will be Beachy, hanson, Huddy
September 29th, 20107:24 pm
All you detractors of my commentary. It stings like a bitch doesn’t it? With the shallow nonsense you guys put up here it’s like shooting fish in a barrel. Back when you were losing to the Pirates as the thought the Phils were coming on soiled alot of Braves britches it was a microcosm of the Braves history. That’s when I decided to take a look at these blogs and watch all of the verbal shipjumping. I’ve only been on for 3 weeks and the Phils seemingly picked up a game every day since. Your comments are so lifeless now that it’s obvious you can’t help but make the playoffs it was hilarious watching the the Phils pass them so effortlessly. Going 17-3 at one point just meant the Braves are bar none the most fold the tent team in baseball history based on their unprecedented impersonation of a division champ. All I know is I’m very sedate getting ready to watch the Phils do what they do in the playoffs. You can’t feel very confident with the linup Cox is now forced to throw out there. Whoever is playing the Braves is probably going over the Phillies scouting while they’re hammering the Braves.
Trey.. Braves have Beachy listed as pitching Friday.http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/news/probable_pitchers/index.jsp?c_id=atl
Its certainly no guarantee that Ankiel will be on a roster. This year hasn’t exactly screamed “Sign Me!” to other teams. He’s, at best, a fourth outfielder, but because of his service time in the bigs, he would be an expensive fourth outfielder.
I wish Esco batted there.
Farnworthless warming up.Oh No
Hey Hey!! an RBI in a two out RISP situation BooRah!!!
Hey! Bat slam! Two of em! Is that 7 LOB today for Gonzo? Seems like about 30.
Heyward is 4 for his last 30, I think the NL ROY should be Buster Posey. He has to handle a top staff, and not stand around in RF. Jason’s too straky this year, should become more consistent in the future. Thank You
sorry i think gonzo sucks
September 29th, 20107:25 pm
awful awful awful swings from Mr. Sea Slug
Man I miss Escobar.
What a f*ing loser.
Why? He’s actually pitched pretty well- and you’ll get to see a potential future star (I assume you are going to that game?)
AWFense Still Worries Me
Marlins Walked Our lineup today and we left 12 on, Not Gonna Cut it in October!
Wags coming in.
Kimbrel should pitch this inning. Or Saito perhaps?
JC from DR!
Did he really swing at that garbage? Gawd.
Braves Win! (In anticipation)
Kat, that sucks. Thanks.
September 29th, 20107:26 pm
You’d somehow complain about the first 2 and blame Bobby for the third McJeff
wish they would give boscan an inning here, just give the man a game in the majors
