Man, Lee really leaves a lot of runners on. If we ever get a cleanup man that at least drives runners home once a game, this offense will be very productive, for the 1st three hitters always seem to be on base one way or another. Anyone have an idea of Lee’s average with runners in scoring position, and how many times in those opportunities has he struck out? Seems like a a lot.
Dang, I am going to be so out of shape by next week. It’s been raining most of the week up here. It’s supposed to get much worse, especially in areas of flooding which is most of Norfolk.
THawkin or anyone – the little Aussie dog is back in NY for good but may need to move down south… anyone have a room to let or know of anyone who does in ATL… especially starting next week
The Braves have an express trip to the playoffs- No Hanley, Josh Johnson, and a Phillies team resting its stars. The planets are definitely aligned properly!
By the way, Lee’s not alone in hitting well with RISP and less than two outs, but not with RISP and two outs. McCann has hit .304 (21-for-69) with RISP and less than two outs, but .183 (13-for-71) with 23 strikeouts in those RISP situations with two outs.
DOB, thanks for the response. Does it sound reasonable for the Braves to add a player like Wes Timmons or Matt Young for the rest of the week, in case they need a late inning pinch runner or defensive help, like Booby mnetioned yesterday, on his concern with using Diory?
That’s just bizzarre. About McCann and Lee.
I know there’s a bit more pressure with two outs and RISP, but for the results to be THAT different?
That’s just odd. Doesn’t make sense.
