DOB,

Pretty much sums up the Braves playoff chances. If you cant beat the last place team in your division then you don’t deserve a post-season opportunity.

@Dawg Feud…

Earlier this month, the Orioles won 2/3 against the Rays, and then 2/3 against the Yanks. I understand that the Braves are playing just awful right now, but does losing 2/3 to “the last place team in your division” really equal not deserving a playoff spot?

Be honest with yourselves & with your comments, commentators!

ABSOLUTELY
Keep playing the guys (Ankiel, Lee, McLouth) who have HELPED YOU LOSE 5 of 6 and 9 of 12 I think it is and made you a SUB 500 TEAM since the All Star break and OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS TODAY.

Why would you play the guys ( Glaus, Hinske, Diaz) who for the first 4 months of the season helped get you to FIRST PLACE and 22 GAMES OVER 500 and HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE AT THE TIME.

It would be different if AFTER THE CHANGES if we were still playing good baseball and the other teams were just better than us?

But that is not what heppened, SINCE THE CHANGES TO A FIRST PLACE TEAM?? We are basically a 500 team , that means we lose as mean as we win, you cannot deny THAT IS NOT GOOD BASEBALL!!

Its not like 93 the Gaints did not choke and lose it, we just OUTSPRINTED THEM TO THE FINISH LINE, it was 2 GREAT TEAMS PLAYING GREAT BASEBALL.

Now, the Phillies and Giants and Padres have passed us not because they are all that great but because WE SUCK SINCE ALL THE CHANGES.

NO one can deny that.

At least we have the Falcons!!

Chuck James, I find it funny that you are telling me how to do my job today when I should be telling you how to blog. Did you or did you not have a totally inappropriate comment taken off the blog today. You want rationalization from Bobby? Sure.

Can someone tell the Braves it’s not early April anymore? Maybe we can win the series against the Marlins and take a game or two from the Phils at the end of the week.

Hats off to Beachy for a great performance today. Despite the walks, he’s truly stepped up in these past two starts.

Fire Wren. 47 mil tied up on 4 guys: Chipper, KK, McLouse, and Lowe. Another 15 mil should be available when Wagner retires; non-tender Ankiel, Melke, Diaz. Don’t resign Glaus, Hinske, Worthless I mean Farmsworth, Saito.

Go out and get 2 FA’s: Dunner, Crawford, or Werth.

Have McCann work with a trainer and lose some weight. And spend some time with Ross on how to properly call a game, throw, and block the plate. Trade JJ for Dodgers’ Kemp.

Next Year’s team: Fire Wren first

1B–Freeman–Canizares
2B–Infante
SS-Gonzalez–Hernandez
3B–Prado–Conrad
C-McCann, Ross
LF–Crawford–4th outfielder–Antoan Richardson from Gwinnett or Yasser Gomez from Miss
CF–Kemp
RF–JHey

Pitching Staff:

SP–Hanson
SP–Beachy
SP–Lowe–no one will take him
SP-Hudson
SP–Minor

P–Kimbrel
P-Marek
P–Dunn-
P–Venters
P–O’Flahery
P–Moylan
P–Martinez

Please retire Chipper. RETIRE. Please go home, KK. Don’t want you to be away from wife and kids any more. Please eat McLouse’s salary.

Badly need some speed in OF who can hit.

RETIRE Chipper. Please. That’s 14 mil we can spend on Crawford and/or Dunner or Werth or Kemp.

Way to show the mighty “last place” Nationals who’s the boss, Braves!! Wow! that was sure tough losing 2 out of 3 to Washington..especially since they were missing their best player, Ryan Zimmerman..they REALLY had to try very hard to lose those games!! Pathetic!! but what else can you expect from a manger whose had TONS of talent over his 20 seasons of managing the Braves but could only muster one lousy world series championship..retire already, Cox, and take gimpy Chipper with you!!! This team will be watching the 2010 playoffs from the sidelines with the rest of us…

It’s a miserable feeling to watch the season end like this. I think we all got our hopes too high on a team that isn’t even close to playoff quality. We’ve been living off that May-June cushion for three months, and the season was just a month too long for it to stand up. We have so many easy outs in the lineup. Nothing works anymore. Wew’re going out with ahuge wimper.

Carroll, lots of anger out there… I bet you feel like the messenger everyone want’s to kill.
You know, in a month or so, all of this will be over- everyone can take a deep breath, enjoy the holidays and then start to think about next year. It’s kind of exciting knowing that there is a fresh start right around the corner. If we could do better, we’d be out there ourselves.

Bushwacker- Absolutely- The results have been the horrible. the problem is Bobby has healthy people on the bench that he refuses to use. We sent Glaus down to get healthy and get used to playing 3rd. Well prado is hurt Glaus should be rested by now so lets try him at third. When he was healthy he was helping us get in 1st place. What my major problem is , is that BC refuses to make any changes in thye batting order. Geeze it aint working try something else. And putting Freddie in for 1 game aint trying something else. September call ups can and should be participating, they are helping every other team in MLB but BC just refuses to make any changes and that is what chaps my RSSe Any way Go Braves…. we keep looking for that 3 run homer with guys that cant hit three runners, Lets do some bunting hit and runs stealing something- anything but dang Bobby do something besides what youve been doing lately IT AINT WORKIN! Go Bravos!!!!!

and to hear people say .. Well if you would have know this at the beginning of the season wouldnt you be happy knowing we were only 1 game out of a playoff spot. Sure, but to know that they’ve played such Descent Baseball for 150 games but played like a AAA team for the others makes it really frustrating.. Especially when they really could have been playing for the TOP spot this week. had BC rested some guys at the beginning of SEPT. Itruly am convinced that BC has Mis managed this team and I am a huge Bobby fan…. But he has lived up to his critics this year…. Many of the loses rest squarely on his shoulders… go braves….. AND WOW WHAT ABOUT THE FALCOONS? WHO DAT?

ATL DAT— DAT WHO!
