Another night of ministry-related stuff, so not getting to watch the game, except on gamecast now. Listened to what I could on the way home from the church. Got out of the car and we’d just scored the 3rd run. Come in, turn on the laptop and pull up Facebook. Whatya know it’s 8-2. Gosh, I love these Braves!!!!

You guys hating on McLouth …. well, it’s with good reason. He’s been god awful. But that was a VERY GOOD at-bat to start that last inning … got down 0-2 and worked a walk off a tough lefty. Started the whole inning. Give the dude some credit at least. For that.

I think the Braves should keep Troy. Good pinch hitter, can play 1B and 3B, could be the DH if they get to the WS, Prado could get an occasional day off let that pinky breath, Infante can also get a day off or two. And with all the September call ups Bobby could sub Glaus and get the best defensive team out there.

Jimmy- “Hands inside the baseball” means that your hands go through the hitting zone before (or at the same time) as the barrel of the bat. Joe said it at the end, but confused in the beginning.
It is not uncommon for people to not do this. Andrew Jones comes to mind his last 2 years here in atlanta. When you are pulling everything, especially outside pitches… your hands are not staying inside the baseball. It’s a stupid baseball term that is confusing to the average person.
