I’ve noticed that Infante will not go for a ball unless it is hit or thrown right in his hands. I believe he should/could have caught the ball Prado threw.
terrible defense, but Hanson can blame himself for that one.
and yeah, Don is the moron who talked trash all day yesterday and then magically disappeared when everything he said was proven wrong. he’s a real tough guy.
Here’s where the offense has got to get going. Can’t afford look dumbfounded at the plate for 7 innings like we normally do. Late inning heroics are great, but we can’t keep living by them. I know it’s early, but early can turn to late rather quickly.

I’ve noticed that Infante will not go for a ball unless it is hit or thrown right in his hands. I believe he should/could have caught the ball Prado threw. -Jack
Yes, I have noticed that as well. It seems as though he rarely exerts himself on a ball that he could conceivably range a couple steps for. It is pretty frustrating
if this game follows the recent trend, we will look like total amateur hitters through 5 or 6 innings, and then a light will come on and we’ll start tearing the cover off the ball in the last 3 innings.
something about this lineup is so odd… not sure if they are learning about the pitcher as they go or what. but they seem to get better as the game goes, no matter who they’re playing.
shmoe..im pretty sure grandpa farve could still kick the butts of most of the younger qb’s in the league right now. Why should he go when people are begging him to stay?

Do you have a brain? It’s a screen moniker for an internet blog as I’ve explained dozens of times. I don’t hate anyone except maybe you. Nice try, but you’re not as smart as you think you are.
Great blog DOB. This is actually one of my favorite ones and I have been reading them since the 05 offseason. I hated Wagner before he was a Brave and still wasnt much of a fan since he became a Brave. Nothing personal, just wasnt a fan of his. However, after this blog now I am. Loved some of his comments, especially the one where he has already made a ton of money. I never understood what the difference was between a $120 million contract and a $100 million contract. Either way you, your kids, and your grandkids will never see the end of it.
Nick 3.0, i think if you look at the numbers, they will show that the Braves haven’t been that bad offensively since the AS break.
However, i think this is one of those cases where the numbers would be very misleading…. if you look at the game yesterday for example, it shows that we scored 5 runs, which would appear to be a pretty decent game offensively. but what you don’t see is that we struggled like crazy the first 26 outs and got most of those 5 runs on one last minute hit. not that that doesn’t count, but it kind of makes the day look a little better than it really was by watering down the 99% of the game where we struggled or wasted opportunities.
in the same way, we’ll go 3 or 4 games scoring less than 3 runs, then suddenly we’ll score 13 runs in a game. so i think we’ve been pretty bad offensively, but i think the numbers make it look a little better than it is by glossing over our offensive troubles.
Hanson is fine….just one bad inning. As for those wanting farve to get hurt, shame on you. I wouldn’t wish anyone to get hurt badly no matter how much I dislike them.

Katherine, I don’t watch. No one said it wasn’t his right, but if he claims he is going to retire then retire, but if he is just coming back then he doesn’t need to tell people he is going to retire. How much money do you think fans have spent on his merchandise because they believe he is going to retire? Him claiming to retire and coming back just gets in the way of younger players who want a shot in the NFL. I honestly couldn’t care if he did get hurt and had to retire.
