Yeah…well…BMac’s been robbed of plenty of…uh, heh heh heh, Doubles this year!
Boy, if somebody placed a bet that I couldn’t mention Doubles for a whole minute, they’d be stinkin’ rich…
August 12th, 201011:32 pm
Broxton has been horrible since the all-star break. We thought Wagner was bad. Having said that, Broxton will probably shut us down.
I wouldn’t be surprised, Snot. Guess we’ll see soon enough.
Dumbfound: if some idiot waltzes onto a blog and starts writing absolutely idiotic things – that is NOT the signal to start writing idiotic things back.
That puts you on the same level as the idiot – which brings me back to my original question to you about “how do you think the others here view you.”
You don’t WANT to be viewed as an idiot – but if you walk like a duck, quack like a duck, etc….
August 12th, 201011:33 pm
Oh yeah. It’s all good.
I don’t mind going back-and-fourth with someone when I know they’re kidding. We’re they’re serious, it takes its toll.
im tha type guy that will git real stinkin drunk n go n2 tha stands @ tha ted n flat beat the hell outta ne sumb!tch fools who tries to rag on my Braves! wimmin can’t deny me cuz im fly and i beat the hell outta any sumb!tch that s***talks my boys…dont come n r house n talk s*** 2 my team cuz I aint gona take it hos…u aint nuthin but hos u philfan hos i will beat yo a** down son i meen it bring it on dodger fan i f*** u up 2 yeah o hell yeah bring it

McFann, if McCann loses a couple of pounds he may get around a little faster.
August 12th, 201011:34 pm
do your parents know you are still up on the ‘puter?
Y’all, I’m right here
I may not get to watch the game tomorrow, I am thinking about going to the Norfolk Tides game.
Exit one – enter another. I’m checking on this morning’s exchanges.
McFann: when the Twins face the Braves in the WS and Brian strokes the game winning shot over Span’s head, FOX will do the juxtaposition shot – a gleeful McCann getting mobbed at homeplate, and a despondent Mauer, eyes glazed over in the visiting dugout, ponders his failed efforts…
A perfect ending to Bobby’s tenure, as well as sweet revenge for 1991. Of course, it never could’ve happened… unless McCann rifles that double in the All Star game.
August 12th, 201011:35 pm
nolie, my bed time is at midnight to midnight 30!
I meant McFann
Chop Chop –
August 12th, 201011:36 pm
Haha, I knew that!
McCann is easily the best offensive C in baseball. Id take him over mauer anyday of the week and twice on Sunday.
August 12th, 201011:37 pm
I ♥ Chop Chop…in a back-slappin’ arm-punchin’ manly sorta way of course
@Boatdoc, point well taken by me. Because you are absolutely right. I went down to his level and I am sorry for that ! When people say hurtful things, some tend to jump the gun. I’m one of them. Something I’m trying to change about myself.
August 12th, 201011:38 pm
What A Effing CHOKEJOB By the Dodgers!
Watch them Bounce Back and play us like a Playoff team….! ARRRGGGHHH!
Now, all we need is Random to come back.

Nick, I enjoy McCann. I just like teasing McFann’s obsession over him.
August 12th, 201011:40 pm
Anyone Going to the Games This Weekend…?
Bartholomew (Bat) Masterson
August 12th, 201011:41 pm
I don’t know if it’s a good thing but I actually decoded Chop’s 11:39.
Tomahawkin, just to a Tides game tomorrow.
Damn that Ruiz! I have to say he’s one clutch hitter. I guess their manager being a hitting coach definitely helps that offense in Philly. You have two hitting coaches watching you, so chances are you’ll get straightend out quicker.
August 12th, 201011:42 pm
I think that this video is pretty close to how some folks react to baseball games. Just substitute “Atlanta Braves” — or, in tonight’s case, “Los Angeles Dodgers” — for “Georgia Bulldogs.”
Tomahawkin – their lineup really isn’t that great other than Ethier. Kemp is good but he has underperformed as of late. Keeping Pods off the bases will be critical as well. If we had our A lineup, we would have a legit chance to take at least 3 out of 4 but since we are without Chipper and Prado, we will be lucky to split.
August 12th, 201011:43 pm
I guess the only way we can rely on a Phillies loss is by making them lose ourselves. I wish we could be bring Philadelphia to Atlanta tomorrow.
Yes. I checked this morning’s stuff – 8 minutes later he appears as a reformed guy who looks back at himself and says something disdainful. same shtick – but reasonably well executed.
Trey – yeah, she does have an unhealthy obsession with McCann.:)
August 12th, 201011:44 pm
Nick, if I didn’t know better I’d think she was secretly his girlfriend under the name McFann, since no one could prove whether she is or isn’t.
Nick, I’m Banking on a Split…
I’m Going To Saturdays Game…Blowe is pitching so with him pitching, plus our lineup, and me combined with Tomaritas might be a bad combo for kickin it at The Chophouse Saturday Night..
August 12th, 201011:45 pm
I heard that the Phils paid a big share of the Dodgers owner’s divorce settlement for them to throw tonight’s game and sweep us this weekend.
Snot – ding, ding, ding.
I’m pretty sure we have a winner.
August 12th, 201011:46 pm
MlB Tonight about to talk about the Braves. They are saying with Chipper’s injury and the win by the phils, the Braves probably can’t substain the blows.
August 12th, 201011:47 pm
Tomahawkin – lol, I hear ya bro. That lowe game is really the only pitching matchup that favors the dodgers. Not a knock on Lowe because he has been a lot better as of late.
Chop Chop m_
August 12th, 201011:48 pm
Nick, I am not too fond of Lowe, but I do admit he has been much better.
Hey, guys. I haven’t been here for a few days, so I just stopped by to say “hi” to a few close friends that I’m missing badly.
Nick, Bitchell and Robert, are you missing me as much as I’m missing you?
Ahh, what the heck, hi to all of you.
I was a little depressed when I made that.
Dumbfound – Don’t worry, Bobby Valentine is still picking the Braves to win the division.
August 12th, 201011:49 pm
If that’s ESPN Dumbfound that’s exactly what I’d expect them to say, and they can just keep saying it. Talk doesn’t win games, and the more the Braves are discounted and overlooked, the better, I think.
Come on, noleeeee – you know!
Well, it was a bad day all around for us fans. Couldn’t have gone any worse, really.
I still love this Braves team. I think not having Chipper in the lineup anymore might spark even more fire up their butts. Might even see them go out and get another hitter in the next few weeks or sooner. Who knows.
I have a strange feeling that the Bravos are going to go on a hitting tear in the absence of Chipper. Just one of those funny things that happens in baseball when you think a team is on the ropes.
I’m missing Chipper already Tom, how ’bout you??
Soph & SB _ Good work, Holmes.
August 12th, 201011:50 pm
Trey – he’s especially not as bad now that the Braves see him for what he is, a 4th starter. He doesn’t matchup against other team’s aces as much.
nolie, I am too. Chipper is a hometown hero.
August 12th, 201011:51 pm
If we could have gotten Jose Bautista instead of Gonzalez, Our problems would be solved.
Nick, hopefully Hudson can be the number one next year.
I wasn’t really following the chain of posts very much Soph, just thought I’d be lazy and ask at the end.
August 12th, 201011:52 pm
Co-Sign on that Post about Lowe
I see the Phils winning that series in “The Rotten Apple” As well especially w/ K-Rod out…
I hope it’s motivation guys, I hope !
August 12th, 201011:53 pm
f we could have gotten Jose Bautista instead of Gonzalez, Our problems would be solved.
oh yeah cause 238 hitters who have doubled their previous high in homers always solve all the problems
Tomahawkin, I have to give the man credit where credit is due. Anyway, I may skip the Tides game tomorrow, because Hudson is pitching. However, it is the closest I can ge to a real game and it is fun going to Minor league games.
August 12th, 201011:54 pm
Trey – for sure. Hudson, Hanson, Jurrjens, Lowe, and Minor is pretty nasty. Hudson is a legitamate ace. 3rd best ERA in the majors.
Not To Mention…The Phillies Offense Has been Clowning since they fired their hitting coach…
We should split the series……or else.
Anything less is unacceptable. Sky-falling fodder extraordinaire.
We know who’s coming….and fast.
I’m missing Chipper already Tom, how ’bout you?? (nolie)
August 12th, 201011:55 pm
What about Medlen if he comes back?
Phils are trouble. They are a team of professional hitters. BEWARE!!!
August 12th, 201011:56 pm
Noleeee – you know you would rather have Bautista than any OF on our team not named Heyward.
Whats up with the 2.0? behind your name…?
Did you get Bozo’d?
Long time no see
It would take a little more stumbling by Jimenez, Johnson and Wainwright – but if Hudson keeps it up he is RIGHT THERE for Cy Young this year. Absolutely dominating.
Baseball is funny and humbling. The Mutts could sweep the Phils. Remember what I said if they do.
August 12th, 201011:57 pm
I know that? hmmm. nah don’t think so. unless we could get him free…
I’m only kidding, buddy. Just when the guy is hitting liners, or getting the barrel on the ball in his words, see ya.
ill tell u wut noleeeeeeeeeeeee dat ****er may b a flook but he still hittin dat dam ball out tha park sumthin feerz no wut im sayin cuz i tak josie bawte…aw f*** it i cant speel it ne way i tak dat man on my teem ne day
August 12th, 201011:58 pm
oh well, if my hero Chop Chop sez so, I gotta go along
August 12th, 201011:59 pm
Braves might get swept by the Dodgers while the Phils sweep the Mets. If that happens, what will happen here?
@noleeee, you don’t think so, huh ? I just said that because he was a thirdbaseman. That’s all.
August 13th, 201012:00 am
I am definitely going to the NMB Ale House on Sunday to see Minor (with an extra day of rest) gun down the Lost Angels (win)Dodgers. I didn’t get to see the kid’s opening effort.
The Braves will take another 3 of 4 from a West Div. team.
I guessed you were kidding Tom, but I gotta admit I wasn’t 100% sure….
Trey – a rotation of Hudson, Hanson, JJ, Medlen, and Minor is even better. If he is healthy and will be ready for next season, Id take Meds over Lowe. I don’t think the Braves are gonna have as hard a time this off-season unloading Lowe. 2 years/$30M doesn’t sound as bad especially if the Braves eat $5M or so.
August 13th, 201012:01 am
Meds as a starter? where are my meds at?
August 13th, 201012:02 am
Tomahawkin – No, I just felt I should change it since I have been trying to change my outlook and views on the Braves here on the blog.
August 13th, 201012:03 am
If that happens, what will happen here? CC
the Mayan calendar will have bended 2 years too late
Nolie, Meds has been pretty good this year as a starter, but I guess we won’t know what the Braves will do yet.
August 13th, 201012:04 am
is that what the 2.0 means, that you are a new improved Nick??
Platoon Kelly and Infante. Kelly vs lefties, Infante vs righties…….It would be the first of it’s kind.
NO MORE BOBBY
So Chipper is “dedicated to rehabbing” but we all assumed he was not into getting ready for the season like players should back when the whole Brian Jordan thing went down? Hmmmm. Look, I appreciate what Jones has done here but this is a blessing in disguise. I love Infante at third and in the number two spot of lineup with Heyward three and Prado leading off when he returns. Im thinking the third spot for J-Hey will make him rise to the occasion.
Our players are not what concerns me this time of the year. Its you know who if we go by history and the Cox led teams of the past. End of summer is scary for Braves fans. Hope I’m wrong this time because after 2010 there is no next time for Bobby.
So the Phillies stage a huge comeback one night after the Braves lose the face of their franchise to injury.
Time to see if this team has real guts
August 13th, 201012:05 am
Meds has been pretty lucky too, well until the injury anyway. I still like him better long term as a set up man
I was really hoping Ankiel would be better for us. He does draw some walks and he’s good in CF but it seems he can’t hit for sh** and he has problems getting picked off. Him, Glaus, and Hinske are gonna have to step up with Chipper out. Infante, Prado, Heyward, and Mac are money 1-4.
August 13th, 201012:06 am
That would be SWEET, anyway!!
They don’t know for sure, but they wouldn’t be shocked.
Don’t get started on the weight issue.
f I didn’t know better I’d think she was secretly his girlfriend under the name McFann, since no one could prove whether she is or isn’t.
I couldn’t be his girlfriend, man! He’s got a wife and an unborn kid!
Unhealthy? Yeah, you’re prob’ly right.
phooey on NMB
@Chop Chop, I believe the Braves are mad at the Dodgers tonight ! Who was that who said the Braves going into Cincy were going to get swept and whoever the Phillies where playing, the Phils going to sweep them by virtue the Phillies will take over first place. That was two weeks ago. Who is in first place ?! The Braves are sweeping the Dodgers.
chop chop…sounds like you are from south of I-10
August 13th, 201012:07 am
McFann…No…Of course not…You are not his girlfriend…
Uh, Nick, Medlen will be out at least one whole calendar year from the date of surgery – that’s how long it takes to come back from Tommy John surgery. And NO ONE will take Lowe at a $5 mil discount.
Nicky-boy, c’mon, stay with us…
