That Philly fan on here bragging makes you appreciate a rival fan like Anders who comes on here regardless.”
I never thought I would say this about a Mets fan but Anders does deserve some appreciation for that, and also for his willingness to show a sense of humor about his team. That’s not always an easy thing.
phils80-08wschumps, you may not want to get cocky, you are still in second place. Besides, you are putting that in the wrong site, as you are not saying that to them. You are a very ignorant kid, phils80-08wschumps. What do you do for a living anyway?
snotboogie, Francoeur is cocky. He thinks he is great. At least McLouth accepted the demotion and was graceful about it, unlike Francoeur. He doesn’t deserve to play, but his head is too big to realize that. He is riding with blinders like a horse.
Thanks Sophee and McFann. I’ve never liked “trash talking” in general and particularly when the game is not settled. Too much of that garbage goes on in that “other sport” that shall remain nameless in my posts on this blog.
Everyone remember in “Revenge/Return of the Jedi” at the beginning when they were at Jabba’s palace and perched at Jabba’s foot was this hideous vulture-crossed-with-a-dog thing that just cackled?
MiaBchBravesFan, but I have fun. I try not to argue with my own on here, but he is not my own and it is much more fun than arguing with Braves fans who enjoy the game like I do.
As bad as Broxton was he might have escaped that mess if Blake hadn’t gone all Gonzo out there and blown the chance at some outs. As the braves have shown us this year there are plenty of ways to blow a bases loaded nobody out situation where you can get one or no runs. Plenty of options, I think we have written the book on it.
Trey, but he’s so beneath your dignity. An attention-starved speck that shares his city’s collective low self esteem and anger issues, who, rather than go to a Phillies’ blog site to share tonight with like minded folk, decides he wants to come to our site and talk middle school smack. Maybe sixteen was an overestimate.
@Boatdoc, I don’t know everyone’s of me, but I can toss it aside. I would think you would see I was taken up for our team ! Maybe not the right way, But I was !
That’s okay McFann – who has more grand slams in his career? I don’t know, but I bet it’s BMac! And Mauer didn’t hit the ALS double that gave his league the home field advantage in the WS, and that double should count for more than one!
MiaBravesFan, that is true, but it is so fun now. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was that young and the only reason why he got off is because his mommy found out he was still awake past his beddy-by time for school in the morning.
Phils80 – u are such a loser its pathetic. I can’t imagine how nerdy of a troll you have to be to spend your entire day on a Braves blog. You must be a lonely, miserable human being. You epitomize the stereotype that is a class-less phillies fan. You just come off as an immature little douche.
How true. And no offense, I know he’s about 25 points below his career AVG, but if I see one more thing about the poor baby’s “down year”, I may puke…(course I’m sure there are plenty of fans of other catchers saying the same about BMac…). But seriously…I’d take 38 doubles in August in a “down year”. But that’s ’cause I’m a weirdo I guess…

Well, Carolina Lady hit the nail on the head. “Chipper is the last of THE Braves” she said. Yup. That’s it. He personifies The Run. And in some way, to me, he is a part of an ever dwindling pool of players who still play the game with respect. He is not, nor never shall he be one of the ME generation. He is the anti-Hanley Ramirez. And as he goes down, so goes another from a dying breed. In a time when the highlights and endorsements are littered with the Mannys of this game, I hold out hope that the Chippers of the game will still be there to keep the game respectable… to teach the youngsters how the game should be played.
Chipper doesn’t grandstand. He doesn’t flip his bat or tap his chest or point to the sky. He doesn’t do things that draw attention to himself. He just plays the game. He doesn’t cake pine tar on his helmet, or have a special handshake for each teammate, or wear 3 carat diamonds in each ear. He just plays the game. He doesn’t wear neon shoes, or frost his tips, or tweet every time the wind changes direction. He just plays the game. Or… he did.
He is one of the greats and a true Atlanta Braves icon. He is a HOF’er in waiting. I just hope that the 5 year clock didn’t start ticking on Tuesday night…
