Not a Hall of Fame w/out Dale Murphy, those are quotes from Francoeur’s agent, which is kind of strange. I’m being sort of serious when I say this, but I think it’s time for someone to sit Francoeur down and try to get him to understand that he’s a platoon player in the majors. I’m rooting for him but at this point I don’t think he has a realistic view of himself as a player. That’s not entirely his fault.

I like Hanson…a lot…but this baserunning thing is getting to be a problem. You absolutely cannot allow teams to turn every single or walk into a triple. Teams have caught on and are exploiting it every time they get a baserunner on. Giving up only two singles in an inning shouldn’t always result in a run scored against.

The Braves have been mighty lucky this season. It seems like they get away with most of the mistakes they make. Whether that luck holds the rest of the way or not will go a long way toward determining how “magical” this season is.

Jeff321, the problem is when you have to call out one specific positive thing you said. That’s an indicator that you don’t do it very much. That’s like saying Jo-Jo Reyes is a good pitcher because he pitched well that one time in 2008.

It has been painfull watching the fielding errors in the last 10 or so game. I don’t believe I have ever seen a Cox coached team make so many. They have wasted some excellent pitching performances. It is sad to see this happen in Cox’s last year.

I’m a Braves fan and I’m on here every day. Is it because I don’t have a mental breakdown when the opposing team scores a run?? Shaun, that’s true, but I don’t remember opponents taking advantage of Maddux the way they do Hanson.
Also, Maddux was able to get away with that because he was one of the best pitchers ever to toe the rubber. Hanson hasn’t reached that level yet.

It’s the errors with me. I realize there are going to be hitting lapses, blown saves and whatnot, but the errors are disturbing. Very unlike a Braves team to make this many. If we could do a couple of things right…..it’s been pitching and D.

Since the agent and Jeff are now a we maybe the agent should explain to Jeff that “they” will soon be free agents when “they” are non tendered. If any team wants “them” to play everyday then that team can sign “them” at that time. Complaining and demanding a trade will not help “their” impending free agency. Seems like neither of them is doing their job.

Dale Murphey was a beast and he gave it all on the field. He would dive all out just like Andruw Jones. Had an arm like a cannon and speed. He was atrue team player on some bad teams. If he had and ounce of selfishness he would have preserved his body a little more and hit several more home runs. Back to Back MVPs.

lol Canseco…I just thought I remember some quotes that DOB put out there and said he was working on a feature, but hey, I wouldnt trust my memory too much.
You know who else is a great quote tho is Tim Hudson. He is pretty much no holds barred. I remember after one game when the Braves offense was perforiming poorly and went no hit for a while, Huddy said something to the effect of, Lets be honest, no offense, but he(the opposing pitcher) doesn’t have no hit stuff.
