The fact that it hurt is probably a good thing. A lot of times, tearing an ACL or something like that won’t bring a lot of pain.

@Hershel Talker—like the name by the way………..Frenchy, unfortunately has been catered to alot….conflicting, in my view, the basic values his Dad taught–effective as a parent is–the kid is himself, a man, and growing up in baseball has proven to be a ‘mental’ challenge for him–he appears to psyche himself out and continually ask why? Why am I not an all-star? Just my take, and I do wish him well.

Yeesh, Tommy has to do something about holding baserunners. Everyone who gets on base against him is automatically running. If he doesn’t do something to discourage that, every walk or base hit he gives up is going to effectively be a double or triple.

Dave does Hinske still have the skills to play third regularly? I know he used to be a third baseman. Also what is up with Frenchy quotes? “We want to play every day. We prefer to play in New York. But if we’re not going to play every day in New York, we absolutely welcome the opportunity to play every day somewhere else.” Is Jeff going first and third person at the same time to get to we? Or is this some kind of Herschel Walker multi personalities? Weird sounding quote.

GT Fan, Maddux essentially ignored baserunners too. A runner advancing one base isn’t the worst thing in the world if a pitcher is retiring hitters. Not that it isn’t helpful to keep runners on the base where they started.
