N8, this team might very well make it to the playoffs as a wild card or division winner, but do you seriously think this team is as good as the Yankees ?

TnBrian At least not if the trend continues where he’s hot and cold in any given at bat.

Yeah, I don’t know what the deal is there…this year it seems to be really bad, maybe ’cause of all the K’s…?

God you guys are crazy. This team is in first place. Wren is gonna make a move. Why do you think he got cash for Jones? He should be using the money for something. Hopefully for C. Young from Arizona or Ellsbury. Not any of the other guys. Just calm down. Not time for panic yet.

I worry about our starting pitching in a 7 game series. Who would be our #2 starter ? Hanson hasn’t exactly been brilliant this year. Medlen is not that great. I’m thinking maybe JJ ?

“N8, this team might very well make it to the playoffs as a wild card or division winner, but do you seriously think this team is as good as the Yankees?

No I don’t. That’s what I’ve been saying for two weeks. This team IS plenty good to win the division and I still think they WILL win the division even if Wren makes no moves. Based on our home/road schedule after this weekend (and Oswalt doesn’t really scare me).

But yeah, without some serious changes, this team will get bumped in the first series that they don’t have the homefield advantage. Maybe sooner.

See, this is why we all think you’re such a tool. We’re in first f#cking place. We’ve won 58 games already this year. Even 100-win clubs lose 62 times a year. Lose the sense of entitlement and get some perspective you douche.

Nats are beating the Phils 3-0 in the bottom of the 5th. I predict the Phils will still win that game and be 1 1/2 games out when this night is through. I think it was DOB that said that this race would go down to the wire with the loser getting the wild card. Sorry, but when the Braves finish in 2nd place, they won’t be close to getting the wild card. The wild card will be coming outta the west.

McFann, Mac is one of favorites. He does everything he can to help his team. He’s just not consistant enough to be what the team probably needs him to be right now with Glaus and Chipper struggling and that’s to carry the offense. That’s not him. Not yet anyways. He’ll probably get better, he’s still so young.
