We need a dinger Diaz
July 29th, 20101:34 pm
An exec who has worked with Adam Dunn doesn’t think he is Yankee material. The exec said Dunn is a “good guy” but “lazy.” #trades [via Twitter]
A big part of following sports is actually watching things unfold and the belief that anything can happen – quite often the unpredictable stuff. Why take the fun out of it.
Shux. If that ball lands fair, Glaus might have gotten to third.
I CALLED IT
Two more words: Matt Diaz.
DIAZ Y A R D !!!
Matty in the house!!
I called it!
Well struck, MattE!
Nova Scotia Steve
And just like that 2-2
If only the Braves were trying.
Yes, Matty D!!
McFann :Ô: :Ô:

I called that!!! Right before it happened!!

Good call Nick

Steve from OH
Jesus Christ. A miracle.
Matt Diaz didn’t strike out.
just play him everyday and have hinske play every once in a while at first get a centerfielder and were golden
I work about 2 miles from the stadium – rain is coming!!
Two words: Brooks Conrad
One word: grit.
Good! Diaz crushes those lefties!
Wow, Mark, that totally reeks to have to deal with losers like that. What else would I expect from cities where the fans take pride in being obnoxious jerks who haven’t got a clues what the word “class” means?
YEAH MATTY DIAZ!!!!!!! 2 RUN JACK!!
Jason A. Churchill:
Phillies plan to move Roy Halladay to AL West club for three middling prospects to clear payroll space for Oswalt. #fakenews, ftw.
Brian from SC
OMG OSWALT!!!! OMG WEER DOOMED!!! WEER GETTIN SHUTOUT AGAIN!!!
Phillies are turning into the Yanks/Mets/Red Sox of the trade rumor mill.
Used to be that every player was rumored going to the above teams. Today, the Phils are getting Oswalt but still believed to be in on Batista, Tejada and Willie Bloomquist!
So why don’t they just turn over their entire team?
Daren in Utah

Now If we get Blowe to pitch up to his contract dollars then we are in business
Count on Matt Diaz against the lefties, yes?
breeze is picking up a bit. but we’re gonna let these clouds rumble on through
Mitchell–You suck, dude…You are the worst blogger on here….
Good shot, David!
Big hit Matty!!!
Dave Ross says looky at MY double!
Rossy Lets go Melky!!!
Nice Hustle Rossy!
Diaz rakes lefties
Tremendous defensive play out there by Morse.
Look at Ross!! Triple!! We are finally waking up.
Play Ross more!
…and he can throw too.
the Braves love to struggle against pitchers just called up from the minors and pitchers just off the DL. As Chazz Michael Michaels would say, it is “mind bottling.”
Ross with a triple. I cannot believe it.
Oooh they gave him a triple on that one.
McRoss is stroking the ball today!
July 29th, 20101:37 pm
need a hit D- Blow
Phillies seem to be interested in every available player out there.
Pinch hit for D Blow.
remember DIAZ philsfan?
Martini and Rossi…on the third base rock.
To keep in pace with what I gather has been called ‘The Collapse’…..
Double steal right here.
*or a clue* – Kick butt, Bravos!!!
Come On Blowe, Help Yourself Out!
July 29th, 20101:38 pm
Ross’s fourth career triple.
Oh come on. Intentionally walking Melky? Be a man and pitch to him!
need a hit
It’s about to rain in DC as it is absolutely coming down right now in downtown Baltimore where i work.
Ok Lowe, now’s your time to make us like you again…
Derek. Get a hit you SOB.
Wow, looks like the storm of the century is upon the stadium or something.
July 29th, 20101:39 pm
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STERLING VIRGINIA HAS ISSUED A
* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR… THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA… SOUTHEASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND…
Bravefan4life—-lol at 135 pm post…
That’s David Ross’ first major league triple since 2006 (he had one for AAA Louisville in 2008)
July 29th, 20101:40 pm
Get prepared for a long rain delay as it has been raining here in Baltimore for like 20 mins or so..
Matt Diaz and Josh Willingham are one in the same…
Anyone watching the game, was that really a strike?
Get the umbrella out… http://tiny.cc/dcradar
Good to get those runs in before the storm.
If it’s a long one it will be the Nats pen vs. the Braves pen. You would think that would be to our advantage, but through like 14 innings against their relievers, Braves have yet to score a run this series. (Batista is a reliever, right?)
July 29th, 20101:41 pm
way to go derek. way to help yourself. you are one of the most overpaid people on the planet.
Back in it, now shut em’ down Lowe.
Yes, it was a perfect pitch.
NCBraves … Yeah. Right down the middle. Knee high.
gene garbage, come on dude…let’s not get carried away.
FW, in case you are reading this, the Rox are sellers and have OF rumored to be available. FYI. (:

Mitchell–You suck, dude…You are the worst blogger on here….
Almost break time…
July 29th, 20101:42 pm
Wish “we’d” get some rain.
im indifferent. good either way…
Come on, secret service! There are three different presidents down!
Against lefties sure
I wish the Braves payroll wasn’t half what the Phils payroll is. Let them mortgage their farm system for another world series loss.
July 29th, 20101:43 pm
You’re on your own in thinking that, Mitchell…
Which one of the Rockies OFs would fit best on the Braves do you think?
July 29th, 20101:44 pm
Yeah, BravoMan…I don’t think the Braves would be thinking of getting Willingham because he is no different than Diaz…
Rough Estimate, how many of the Yankees’ pitchers were dominant last year. What about the Phillies in 2009? Having dominant pitchers definitely helps in the postseason, but they’re not required to have “a shot” in the postseason. Plus, as GTSteve pointed out, Huddy’s been pretty close to dominant, and Jair definitely has the ability to be dominant too, and has been pretty dominant since coming off the DL.
I wish every game started at this time…I’d work part-time for a full-time salary. I just need more game day snacks at the desk.
July 29th, 20101:45 pm
ouch, right in the kidney
Lowe strikes out Willingham = We don’t need Willingham!!
Lowe doing his best Tommy Hanson impression.
Crazy Trades McGee
Braves just traded Barbaro Canizares and one of Bobby’s Humidors for Jose Bautista…
