GT Fan – The Braves rotation might be better 1-5 than the Phils, but when you get to the playoffs, all you need is your top 2-3 pitchers, the guys are typically in the bullpen.. Curt Schilling & Randy Johnson basically carried the Dbacks to the W.S. title a few years ago by themselves. You have to have at least 2 dominent pitchers in the post season to have a real shot. The Braves have 5 good pitchers, but none of them are dominent.

Lowe is going to pitch every fifth day. Hanson isn’t sure if he’s going to be good or be “Bad Hanson,” in any given start. Medlin is gonna run out of innings and has been known to hang a few of those changeups. Huddy is solid. JJ looks promising. Your bullpen starter help is KK.

Does this rotation suck? NO! But it’s not a lights out group of guys. They are gonna give up a few runs. The Braves need to be able to score some runs to support those guys who are going to give up 3-5 runs a game.

Braves still need a bat. Standing pat with this offense is just inviting Philly to overtake you and win the division. Need a producer who won’t just leave the bases loaded when he comes to the plate. We have too many now who are just happy to get on base and not worried about getting the runs home.

Shut out two nights ago. Scored 3 last night. Good enough to win last night, but your ace is the only reason it was good enough to win last night.

3 won’t be good enough to win today!

Last night did nothing to stop the collapse. The offense was still horrible. We’re swinging early against a guy who just came off the DL. Make him work damn it!

Bad is coming…Oswalt to strengthen Phils, Phils win again, and the Braves are behind and a loss is certain the way the guys are swinging today and the past week. But alot will say…”we’re still ahead by 2 1/2 games ahead”. So what.

I said we would be up only 2 when the trip is over. But amended it saying we may be behind. Now I know so instead of speculating. I don’t care if the we’re facing a lefty…our best hitter currently (McCann) should be damn playing.

I’ve been saying it for weeks, this team needs more/better pitching and another bat if they expect to win the East and do well post-season.

Other than Hudson and maybe JJ, tell me who else on this pitching staff you would truct to win a game in the post season? I don’t see anybody else.

Today, Lowe is his typical overpaid, tired by the 5th inning (if I even make it that far) self.

I really don’t know where some of you get such confidence to believe the Braves have any chance to win this game.

They’ve scored three runs through twenty-one innings against the last place team in the division. They just lost a series to the fourth place team in the division when they didn’t even have to face Josh Johnson. They’re .500 since the All-Star break. We’ve seen two blown saves in the past week and lost another game on a walk-off.

The Nationals pitcher almost threw a no-hitter against us they last time he faced the Braves. He’s breezed through the first three innings. He has a two run lead. Derek Lowe sucks and is sure to give up more runs and we’re five games under .500 on the road.

Don’t you just sort of know when they’re going to lose a game? I mean, really. What are you thinking? I have almost no faith the Braves will win this game.

And boy will I be happy if and when they lost because as you all know, I hate the Braves.
