Andy, if you think Bobby would use Venters to intentionally hit Fielder, knowing he could get suspended, when we are facing a REAL team starting tomorrow and need him badly, well, you may be missing a few brain cells. Anyone who follows the Braves knows that he would have used KK or Chavez if he wanted to plunk the Corpulent One. And no, I don’t resort to calling him fat because I have nothing meaningful to say, I’m just stating a fact.

Andy, the Brewers fan is back today to gloat because his pantywaist, unprofessional manager went and complained to MLB because his obese 1B got plunked by a rookie who is known to throw wild pitches. The fact is, Andy, your pitcher hit our player yesterday and received a warning. Two batters later, he hit another player and our manager did not demand that the pitcher and your pansy manager get ejected as happened to the Braves the night before. He could have demanded that the umpire enforce the rules, Andy, but he didn’t because he’s a professional who isn’t petty. Perhaps your wussy manager should stop having his players hang out all over the plate and they wouldn’t have the most hit batsmen in baseball. Just our luck the lowlife would piss and moan to the MLB home office….now he looks like a hero to his hometown and we are out a key reliever for 4 games. I just wish Venters had really drilled him instead of hitting him between the shoulder blades…
Objectively? Yes, I am looking “objectively” at the fact that after the umpire warns the pitcher and both benches the next guy who plunks someone gets thrown out. So, why didn’t the Brewers pitcher get thrown out? Fielder leans his fat butt almost covering home plate. You try to throw inside to him and not hit him. All people who lean out over the plate know they will get hit and most take it in stride. Just because he is a crybaby is this a big deal.
Next time they should drill him with a 95mph fastball and not a breaking ball

Where to start?
1.) Crybaby? What did he say? The only comment I heard was him saying its part of the game.
2.) He did hit him with a 94 MPH fastball
3.) It wasnt close. if you hit a guy in the elbow that is brushing him back, putting it between the numbers is not tring to pitch inside, consdiering the catcher was setting up on the outside corner.
Did Venters hit Fielder on purpose? No doubt aboutit. If you’ll look back to our series in May, Hanson hit Braun and Davis hit McCann after Glaus hit a HR. Ok, we’re even, right? Next night in that same series, we’re blowing them out and they hit B-Mac again. He left the game. As Don Sutton often tells us, ballplayers have a long memory. To my way of thinking, there is payback due to the Brewers even though it will come next year since we are done with them this year. If Macha wants his prima donas to not get hit, he needs to talk to his pitchers.
Andy, I think you should change your name to GO!

As far as the Braves who got hit, look at the game situation and it’s clear it wasn’t intentional. Glaus got clipped with the catcher setting up inside and it LOADED THE BASES! Only an idiot would think that was intentional. Heyward got dusted with an inside fastball that basically only hit his uniform. Considering that they were pitching him inside for the whole game and that was the third consecutive pitch to the same location, one could actually argue that he leaned into it as much as you could argue that the pitcher was throwing at him. If you watched either game, it’s pretty clear who was headhunting. I’m a Braves fan, but our guys were the bad guys in this one (and Fielder didn’t “watch” any of his homers – the replays were pretty clear on that).

Hey Andy- How many times does Prado have to be thrown at before something is done? He has been decked about 6 or 7 times in the last 3 weeks. The difference is he doesn’t cry about it. He knocks the heck out of hit.
Well, Andy, you come across as a pimply-faced adolescent hanging out in his parent’s basement with no friends around, but I wasn’t going to make this personal by outing you.

Andy – You could look at his facial expressions and then when he staired at the mound. The bottom line is I don’t say make it a habit of hitting people, but I am glad to see the Braves not back down to anyone. They are tired of their guys getting thrown at. Escobar was decked many times last weekend.

I get it man, this is the first time all year the Brewers have backed up their own. I wish the Brewers were more like the Braves in that way. I havent come on here knocking what the Braves are doing. I think they have a great team and I love that Bobby cox gets into it when backing up his guys. All I ever said was thishappened because of the location of the mis and the HBP.
Well Andy, I’m a retired Army Sergeant Major with two Shih Tzus and no cats. But thanks for the guess. Say hi to your loser team for me and let Princess know we’ll be waiting for him next season so he might want to make himself a less appealing target during the off-season by losing about 190 pounds.
Yeah, that’s right, he’s gained ten pounds since I suggested earlier on the blog that he should lose 180.
DOB is there anyway possible to get a quote from Watson or his people as to why they would not take any action against the Brewers or why the Umps didn’t follow protocol and eject the Riske or whatever his name was? I have never seen anything like this since I’ve been a fan.

Youre going to have to see him in interleague play. No way he is with the Crew next year. I dont really talk to the Brewers that much but if I see one of the guys I will say hi. I know we are trading jabs here but thank you for your service.
The bottom line is that MLB and Bud Selig can’t stand the Braves being ahead of the Mets and Phillies. They would love to see the Mets win the Division and Phillies as the wildcard.
How much $ you want to bet Macha doesn’t make it until the end of the season. He needs to be more worried about playing baseball because obviously his mind is too focused on being a b*#%h. If I was a Brewers fan I would be embarrassed, you don’t retaliate by going to tell on someone, you take care of it on the field. Sorry Brewers but your Skipper has you heading on the road to nowhere, seems like you should have kept Yost.
Milt, Yost did a very good job of handling the young players. When they were in the hunt for a playff spot the word was that he became very uptight and made all the players nervous. The Brewers wanted someone a little more even keeled but it seems like Grandpa Ken is napping through most of the games, the need to find someone with a pulse that dosnt freak out when the pressure is on.
As far as the GM, most of the fans want him gone after the year too. This year his signings have cost us a lot. Souppan and Hall are playing for other teams while making 20 million from the Brewers. Also he takes a lot of heat for not developing any young pitching beside Yo.
Escobar has a chip on his shoulder now. So did Francoeur when the Braves let him go. He hit for a while and then came back down to who he really is. Same with KJ. These guys tear it up for a while after they suck a*s for us. Keep the train rollin’, Bravos. Who needs Escobar any way?
Gave up on Escobar too early? Are you kidding me, the Braves gave him every chance they could, until it was apparent that he was not going to change his attitude.
Really disagree we had Escobar under our control for another four years and gonzalas for one more year and having a career year we bought high and sold low
One bk judge named Watson. Believe he was fired with JT back in 91.
one bk Fielder. That Brewers are trying to trade.
one white pitcher thats wild sometimes.
one white Mgr that holds the record for being ejected.
What did you expect from the JUDGE? Nothing new its called pay back.
I do respect Venter more for taking one for the team, right are wrong.
lol
You guys are crazy he has had two bunt singles a grand slam another home run tonight. I guess will see long run but I really think we shouldn’t have given up on him or gotten more
It so wrong that Bobby and Cox, and Jonny Venters get suspensions. While Prince Fielder who Saturday after he was hit he try to slide into 2ndb and take Gooze legs out And the Brewers pitchers hit troy glaus and yet no one from there team face any suspension.Let look into positive. And that is Jonny will get 4 days of rest which could help the braves down the road.We still have 2 very good pitchers who throw from the left side. With that said Jonny should not be suspension for 4 games. 1 game i can deal with it but 4games give me a brake. And also why was Bobby face any suspension when bobby did not hit anyone with a pitch plus he was not throwing out of the game
Escobar’s trade was a dead-head culling. He would never have helped the Braves, he had quit playing.Wren got the better end of the deal.
I hope Excobar does great in his career, and Reyes too, but neither one of them were helping the Braves.
Fielder is a fat wannabe just like his daddy. He will eat his way out of baseball within two years. What a frickin joke. I would say the Brewers better watch out but there is no way in hell they make the playoffs. Have fun under .500 the rest of the year losers. Then watch Mrs Fielder Cookie eater run to the money with a big free agent contract, same for Cory “no sunglasses at night but I love Lynard Skynard Hart”.
I have watched the Braves since they came to Atlanta and I must say that the umpiring so far this season has been the worst I have seen for all the teams !!!
No great lss here …… This team is just plain pitiful just like their fans. PissPoor excuse of human being the whole lot of them. Just leave now and put this city out of their misery.

It’s gotta be the same for both sides.

Hey Andy- How many times does Prado have to be thrown at before something is done? He has been decked about 6 or 7 times in the last 3 weeks. The difference is he doesn’t cry about it. He knocks the heck out of hit.

The bottom line is I don’t say make it a habit of hitting people, but I am glad to see the Braves not back down to anyone. They are tired of their guys getting thrown at.

Also he takes a lot of heat for not developing any young pitching beside Yo.

one bk Fielder. That Brewers are trying to trade.

one white Mgr that holds the record for being ejected.
