we’ve already got a Josh Willingham on this team, his name in Matt Diaz

If Diaz comes back and plays the way he is capable of playing, the Braves are in pretty decent shape in LF. Of course, as Wren looks to make a move, LF may be the position with the most available trade pieces out there. So that may end up being the deal if they do go and get a bat.

chilidog Molina is only going to play for like four innings.

Haha! Not with Charlie Manuel! Molina will prob’ly go at least 6…course, if there are three catchers, he might come out sooner. Last year he went 8.

I figured McCann must have been hurt to only catch that last inning and never get an at-bat. Apparently, Manuel forgot he had another catcher on the team.

Daybed, but don’t forget the Mets are facing Volstd who complete garbage.

MikeinFL, oh, ok. That’s cool and I wouldn’t mind seeing Willingham a LF for us. I’d just hate to see one of the pitchers we would send them dominating us a handful of times a year.

TnBrian — You’re right. Mets just pushed another run across and now have a runner on 2nd with 2 outs and their lead RBI man, David Wright, up to the plate. 4-2 Mets in the top of the 2nd.

Oh, he got an AB last year…that was 2008 that he came in for 2/3 of the 15th and didn’t get an AB…

Apparently, Manuel forgot he had another catcher on the team.

Yeah, he took his ASG managing tips from Clint Hurdle. Of course, his excuse was, “Molina’s the ‘hometown hero’.”

cabravesfan,

Yeah, I know Ross is still having issues, but either he is available or they have someone who is the emergency catcher. If Macs hand was really hurt, what would they have done. Seems he is ok, which is great, but I know from experience that getting ice on something right away is the difference between having a bruise and having it swell up like a pumpkin. Guess they just figured the lesser evil is keeping him in there.
