Bay Area Steve, Escobar was mad at the scoring call, and apparently he wasn’t the only one. But I think his teammates were trying to encourage him to let it go, which he eventually did, Chipper pointed out, when he got a base hit later in the game.

Funny. At 4:06 I made a smartass comment to scoots about emoticons.
Only problem is that at 4:06 I wasn’t anywhere near a flippin’ computer. Wasn’t me scoots.
Years ago I remember seeing Dave Grohl from Nirvana (was just starting Foo Fighters at the time) take about Weird Al mocking “Smells Like Teen Spirt”, saying that it was the greatest form of flattery that Weird Al found them relevant enough to impersonate.

If we make a big trade for a impact bat for the outfield, I sure hope he’ll be here longer than a half of season. If we decide to give up a package simlaer to the Tex trade it better be for a long term player.

if yunel hadn’t gotten that baseknock, does that explicitly mean that he hadn’t gotten over the bad scoring call? just because he did get the knock, does THAT mean he had gotten over it? as i remember, he was sulking in the dugout after he got the hit and came around to score. to me that means he got the knock in spite of thinking about that call, and indeed may have even made him mad and motivated him

Teheran, Delgado, Schafer, Melky for J.Upton or N.Markakis. We would prolly have to add another prospect to the deal as well. But both players can play LF full time and be great. O’s and DBacks would prolly consider it cause there rebuilding. If they have a chance to pick up a huge package like that good chance they’ll bite. I’m not a fan of dealing away tons of talent, but for the right player and contract it makes sense.

I’m sure it’s been talked about on here, but I was really impressed with Heyward’s response to playing in the all-star game.
“I actually don’t plan on playing in the All-Star game if I’m selected because if I can’t play for this team right here right now, then I don’t want to go play in that game and jeopardize the second half,” Heyward said.
As a fan, I would love to see him play in the game, but if he is hurt then he probably shouldn’t risk it.

Tex burned me, he was my favorite AL player so for him to come to my Braves was probably the greatest moment not winning the WS in the history of me being a Braves fan…and that turned out bad cause now he is playing for the team I hate the most..and yup I missed it, couldnt watch it..was real upset/bitter all night..and I like the chemistry of this team they are playing good ball, I would ride it out till the last moment.

Yeah, that would be a real bad trade. Neither Upton nor Markakis are worth that. I wouldn’t trade our pitching prospects unless it was for a big impact player. The only one available is Cliff Lee and we don’t need pitching.
