.582, agree all you want. But I didn’t type it. The douchebag is back. DOB and I have had differences over music many times in the past, but my question to him was a simple, honest question that was asked in a polite manner.

I would hope by now, he realizes that I wouldn’t start a music “holy” war with him ever again. NOT going to happen.

DOB, obviously by my response to .582, that 12:31 response wasn’t me. Hope you figured that out. If not, oh well.

Have a happy 4th everybody. Heading out of town for the weekend for a gig.

.Don, What you said about KK is factually incorrect. He won 1 game, and the Braves certainly did not lose every time he started (as you stated). You also said that “anyone” on the AAA roster would have performed better than KK. Jo Jo Reyes is on that team – how did he do with Atlanta the past couple of years? Last year he had an 0-2 record in 6 games (5 starts) with a 7.00 ERA in the majors. This year he is 1-5 with a 6.38 ERA with Gwinnett, and 0-0 with a 24.30 with Atlanta. KK is 1-9 with a 4.48 ERA this year with Atlanta. Thus, the statistics clearly show that KK has outperformed Reyes in the majors and minors. Next time you make these assertions be sure to check the facts. This time you were factually incorrect.

Could you envision Esco sliding over to 3rd, Salcido at short and Prado a second? That could be a pretty sweet infield. Especially if Yunel can rediscover his power stroke. Plug Freeman in at first and they could be set for a while.

Hey I just got an email from the Rays guy who is carrying our MFIKY torch. He emailed me some questions he wants to use for a story on his blog – busy right now but will get back with him later on. Anyway, look at MFIKY doing an exorcism on the Rays bats after they lost to Boston the other day.

http://www.foxsportsflorida.com/pages/video?PID=aagjlFze_j3bUlA9H3q53XLCs3Tr3HNO

Since then, of course, the Rays have started scoring runs again. They’re too afraid not to, I would imagine. ;)

Rob- i think kimbrel and venters are almost untouchable to the sense that wagner is retiring and saito will be gone. with moylan being inconsistant as of late, kimbrel might be our closer and venters as the set up man. with wags gone, that frees up almost $7 million, which is the good news. i believe with wags, glaus and saito gone. the braves will be looking for a big bat or two in the offseason.

Well, tuesday night shouldn’t be too bad. The weekend games are horrific (traffic wise). The stadium is nice there. They have a lot of different food vendors out in CF near the bullpen. It was cool, I met Moylan there once (braves bullpen on the top level). As for restaurants outside the stadium, good luck. The stadium isn’t real close to the downtown area. There are a few hotels off the interstate nearby the stadium.

Good luck, and have fun at the game. Perhaps you’ll tick off a bunch of Phillies fans like I always loved to.

I wonder how long the Braves will play Salcedo at shortstop. Everything I’ve heard makes me think he is destined to end up at third base. Very difficult to find shortstop prospects that will actually stick there and be at least major league average there. That’s why this “trade Yunel” talk is curious. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if they dealt him this offseason. I’d just expect them to get quite a bit, given the dearth at the position throughout the league.

Derek Lowe for Alfonso Soriano : Derek Lowe is owed 15 million in 2011 and 15 million in 2012. Alfonso Soriano is owed 18 million in 2011 and 18million in 2012. The problem would be the 18 million owed in 2013 and 18 million in 2014 to Soriano. He would be 37 in 2013 and 38 in 2014!! Damn shame his contract isn’t 2 years shorter. Right?
