Strange to see Hanson get nailed in back to back starts.

Hanson rocked in two straight starts. Not good. Big week coming up. Pitchers get your heads on straight and hitters get those bats warmed up. Time for another winning streak!

Yeah, I would say strasburg passes him unless Hey gets his thumb straightened out and decides to be forthcoming in the future about injury….

My prediction about Strasburg: He gets knocked around for 4 or 5 runs as the Braves get on him early. My reasoning….he has faced the Indians, Pirates, White Sox, and Royals. Not exactly stellar teams…and only one of them was away from his home turf.

Time to give him a nice Southern welcome with a big 1st inning. :)

DOB – How was JJ’s bullpen session today?

With our left handed dominated lineup, I think we can get Strasburg. I suspect the lineup tomorrow will be:
Prado 2B
Cabrera RF
Chipper 3B
McCann C
Hinske LF
Glaus 1B
Escobar SS
Blanco CF
Hudson P

That’s lefties 2-5 in that lineup. And even ol’ Chipper showed he can still get around on an 100 MPH pitch.

Who are the Nationals playing…I mean who is Strasburg playing tomorrow. Its almost as if he will go out there and be the only player on the field.

It will be a circus Mon. And the Braves will be ignored. With Heyward sitting out, we’ll hear that he is afraid of Strasburg from nearsighted national loons. Should the Braves evern bother to show up tomorrow. Its as if they have no chance. Even our own sorry announcers will do their usual schtick…talk incesantly about the opponent…only tomorrow they focus on only one guy. Why bother to watch this stupid circus?

I think I will not!

Why waste 3 hours of life so that ESPN, Braves announcers, Braves writer, and all other media can genuflect to the chosen one? It will just make me sick. God help us with the bias totally one sided event tomorrow. Hell…they’ll still talk about the next 2 days after while Washington is here. Never mind that it hasn’t really helped the team do what its really paid to do…WIN! What a novel idea…a MLB is supposed to WIN not provide a side show every 5th day.

I’ve had enough of it!

With the way we hit breaking balls (ugh) and the way he throws them; it might get ugly.

The Braves had the Annual Gala tonight… Pitches will look 200mph fastballs Monday after a night of entertainment :-)

The fact that the Braves haven’t been able to beat Jamie Moyer (on the high-age end of the spectrum) or any rookie pitcher who can find the plate for the past decade doesn’t exactly make tonight’s matchup look appealing.

I am with you Dawg88, why are we even showing up to play?? This guy is unbeatable, unhittable, unimaginable. I say we forfiet the game, hand the CY Young to him for next 10 years. Hold on a minute, Mark Prior is mowing the lawn and needs me outside. Geez.

When is the last time anyone can remember the braves doing well against any rookie pitcher. They more or less just have to play catch with their catcher. Tonight could be brutal.

I was there when the rookie phenom Vernando V. was with the Dodgers and his fanfare rooled into town undefeated and the Gaylord Perry and the Braves busted that bubble. We can do it again, only the etam this kid plays for is a far lot worse team as the Dodgers were at the time.I will be there tonight as well.Lets show this kid too. GO BRAVES

Didn’t Gregor Blanco get a hit off Strasburg when he pitched against Gwinnett?

Brava…Oliver only gave up 2 runs in 7 innings…that not exactly overwhelming a rookie. “Rookies overwhelm Us” should be teh Braves’ motto.

Dawg ‘88, I believe the question was, “When is the last time anyone can remember the braves doing well against any rookie pitcher.”. Further, I believe winning is doing well. After all, it’s wins or losses that count, not scores. I saw nothing about “overwhelming” in the question and the Braves were certainly not since they won the game.

Gaylord Perry is the biggest anus I’ve ever had the displeasure to meet.
