Chipper was out there at least 15-20 seconds before his teammates came out. Huge applause. He put his hands out at one point as he looked to dugout smiling, like, ‘Come on, fellas.’ Couple of them waved him off, like, no, you’re gonna get feted whether like it or not.

Kawakami – 7 innings, 1 run and 2 hits. He’s pitched like this more times than once but not gotten the win. He’s sort of the mirror image of Derek Lowe in the support column but it just goes to show how little some people know. Really he should be about 4 – 6.

While Mitchell seems to make his comments with a little hatred and anger behind them…. he has a point people.
It’s almost July and our #3 hitter just hit his 5th HR. Exciting and cool moment for Chipper and it appears he’s coming around, which is NOTHING but a good thing.
But it’s about time he has a huge hit like he seemingly produced on a daily basis in the past.
Not complaining…. just saying.
