C’mon Scrappy Do.
June 26th, 20106:24 pm
Homey can bunt.
Raw Dog at it again
June 26th, 20106:25 pm
no HR for Brooks, but he moved the runner
June 26th, 20106:26 pm
Prado sees nothing but OFF-SPEED stuff over the plate….I’d pinch-hit INFANTE for CABRERA
June 26th, 20106:28 pm
if only the braves would stop swinging at crap, they gave away an out with the bunt which wasnt a strike, and prado also swung at ball 2
How will Chipper blow this? That is the question.
Fly ball probably.
June 26th, 20106:29 pm
Chipper THREE-RUN HOMER on 100-MPH FASTBALL
Steve from OH
There’s your fly ball, Mitchie!
Oh no he din’t!
KK can finally get a win if we hold the lead.
McFann 1 :Ô: :Ô:
I Hate Liberty Media
Apparently there are still some home runs left in Chipper’s bat.
Well done, Chipper!!!!
Bartholomeeeew (Bat) Masterson
Hahaha….. Way to go old man………..
Chipper Jones – please don’t retire – lol
You’re right. It was a fly ball
June 26th, 20106:30 pm
There you go Kawakami!
I said fly ball.
They moved the fence in.
professional hitter… nuf said
Gil In Mechanicsville
Sorry Mitchell, but you will have to spread your doom and gloom another day….
Finally, KK is on the hook for a win…but even these runs didn’t get on the board until KK was out of the game.
who pitches next? Venters?
Great, he will never retire now.
Go Chipper…. now that is what I’m talking about!
Chipper simply cannot hit a 95 MPH fastball any more.
He can only hit one that’s 100 MPH.
Kawakami and Chipper just told the following posters to shove it up their @$$:
Bob Wickman’s navel lint
I Hate Liberty Media
I thought Chipper couldn’t catch up to a major league fast ball anymore?
Guess that scouting report (from our astute bloggers) was wrong.
Too bad haters! I’m sure you’ll find something to complain about anyway. Thatta boy Chipper! Is Joe Simpson saying something about old grey mares?
June 26th, 20106:31 pm
dont forget wagner already blew a save for one of KK’s wins in SF with the hanging slider to Renteria
CHIPPER!!!!!! GO BRAVES!!!!!!!!!!!!
KK could get a win – right?
Good call mitchell… chipper blew it. Blew up the lead with a homer that is
Maybe the old man isn’t quite done yet, huh?
Chipper!!!!!!!! Take that haters. That was an absolute bomb.
Chipper is up to .256….Not Chipper=esque but he was .224
What a beautiful swing. WTG, Chipper!
June 26th, 20106:32 pm
great smile on KK’s face
varoadrunner – YES!!!!!!!!!!!
10 game hitting streak for Chipper!!
BamaDude @ CowCollege AL
yeah you know that old man the Bravos have at 3rd base really really sux …………HAHAHAHAHAHA ….Go Chipper …shut up the hater !!!!! …I love it !!
Well, hell. The Mets beat the Tigers. How hard can it be?
yeah that proves it chippers bat is slowed ……he must retire now!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great moment: All the Braves let Chipper go out to his position first, and he got a huge standing ovation. Chill-bump inducing stuff, folks.
June 26th, 20106:33 pm
KK smiling made my daY!!!! LOL
Sweeeet!! Nice bomb #10!!
That was a bomb.
I like Chip’s call of the HR.
“This one has a chance…..”
Was there any doubt the second he hit it? The only thing left to chance on that swing was if it was going to end up on the concourse.
Damn, we are winning all of a sudden!!
I would love to see the blog stop shopping for more pop. Maybe this’ll get Chipper going.
June 26th, 20106:34 pm
Take that, haters!
That’s great stuff!
Rob from SC
Venters or Saito
look at that Chipper takes the field SOLO ….really COOL !!!
Cool O’Brien………. thanks
June 26th, 20106:35 pm
This is the best team chemistry I’ve ever seen.
If that proves anything it’s that the guy made a bad pitch.
It’s about time he got around on one. He’s only our number three hitter.
Just showed it on TV, DOB. Hopefully the Atlanta fans realize that their time with Chipper is growing short…
June 26th, 20106:36 pm
This is the best team chemistry I’ve ever seen
You are old school.
Good stuff with Chipper… I love it.
But I agree. They’re really fun to watch.
June 26th, 20106:37 pm
Chipper was out there at least 15-20 seconds before his teammates came out. Huge applause. He put his hands out at one point as he looked to dugout smiling, like, ‘Come on, fellas.’ Couple of them waved him off, like, no, you’re gonna get feted whether like it or not.
Mitchell – do realize how much of an idiot you are?
Seriously … relax a litlle …. enjoy baseball, enjoy life
There’s that sweet LH swing from Chipper! Now he’s figured out his mechanical issue (which is what I said all along) look out opposing teams. He’s got a pound of flesh to extract.
Poor Mitchell is so upset the Braves took the lead. Sorry buddy. Still waiting on your replacement for Kawakami.
Mitchell……Shut the hell up already. Your act is old and boring.
Venters always smiles after getting an out.
June 26th, 20106:38 pm
only thing it proves is that you’re a knave.
June 26th, 20106:39 pm
Knave. That’s a good word.
Venters getting action over Moylan lately?
Enter your comments here
Venters smiles a lot
Gotta give KK his due, he was great today.
June 26th, 20106:40 pm
an insurance run wouldn’t hurt
the dugout shot of KK GRINNING was really cool as well !!! …good for him !!!!!!!!
June 26th, 2010
I have noticed that as well…he kinda grins like ,take that!
JC from DR!
Chipper hit a 3-run homer??
June 26th, 20106:41 pm
Ha, what is Marteen doing to Chipper?
Okay Braves tack on a few insurance runs for good measure.
It’s about time he got around on one. He’s only our number three hitter. Mitchell
just how hard do you have to work to be that much of an AH? Or does it just come natural? Cause your tone sure sounds like you are serious and not being facetious.
This MLB ticket…such BS that I can’t watch the Braves on Saturdays… I can’t see Chipper’s swing, or hear Chip lose his voice as it goes over the wall. DAMNIT!
Is Wagner available today?
Kawakami – 7 innings, 1 run and 2 hits. He’s pitched like this more times than once but not gotten the win. He’s sort of the mirror image of Derek Lowe in the support column but it just goes to show how little some people know. Really he should be about 4 – 6.
I said on the blog the other night, love him or hate him, we should encourage him now. He must have heard and felt the LOVE!!!!
While Mitchell seems to make his comments with a little hatred and anger behind them…. he has a point people.
It’s almost July and our #3 hitter just hit his 5th HR. Exciting and cool moment for Chipper and it appears he’s coming around, which is NOTHING but a good thing.
But it’s about time he has a huge hit like he seemingly produced on a daily basis in the past.
Not complaining…. just saying.
June 26th, 20106:42 pm
Oh…Troy doesn’t need that.
Blanco has given this team a lot of quality ABs in the limited opportunities he has had. with Heyward out for a few games, I hope he gets a chance to show he should not be the odd mann out when both Diaz and McLouth are ready to play.
June 26th, 20106:43 pm
40,000 people in the stands, chipper magic, KK wins, bobby pushing all the right buttons so far …. man i love this game!
They moved the fence in.
Chipper’s HR was way out, bro.
