Not at all….to me. Pretty humble dude really.
Mixxo is .576??
Bartholomeeeew (Bat) Masterson
flatbill kid, I was trying to remember the rumor guys name.
Chipper uses Ozzy’s Crazy Train- has for years
Do yall remember Chipper’s music when he came up to bat? It was AC/DC. Cain’t remember what song.
You’re not talking about Crazy Train are you?
June 25th, 20109:15 pm
Braves fans in attendance clearly appreciative of the effort by Medlen. Or not.
Coach (2011 or Bust)
Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train” plays when Chipper comes up.
June 25th, 20109:16 pm
He mentioned it before. Must have gotten lost in the shuffle. Mixxo hates name droppin’ anyway. He knows a lot of celebs, come with his territory I ’spose.
Bob horner pulled the ball
Chipper = Crazy Train by Ozzie..??? Yes !!??
Crazy Train by Ozzy Nelson. Er, uh, Osbourne.
Anyone else think Medlen needs to find a way to sit down and pick Gred Maddux’s brain? Seriously, this kid is so much fun to watch.
their 3-4-5 guys are having pretty decent years
June 25th, 20109:17 pm
lee – is this your first day as a braves fan? lol just kidding but … chipper has used some version of crazy train…forever.
here’s the team intro song list, by a girl who knows her stuff.
Coach whipped me…..he knew who didn’t..?????
You saying one of my favorite Braves thinks too highly of himself? Huh Nolie?
McFann 1 ;Ô; ;Ô;
Well, hey, four years from now, he’ll be hitting his 200th homer…Now that, I am NOT missing!
June 25th, 20109:18 pm
well, at least Heyward hit the ball this time
Rob from SC
see the cast on his hand
You saying one of my favorite Braves thinks too highly of himself? Huh Nolie? Leee
???. If you mean Smoltzy, yeah I guess i am
Toronto playing at home in Philadelphia. Is that fair, come on.
June 25th, 20109:19 pm
Chipper, come on. This guy’s a nobody.
Melky Cabrera has hit .377 with 10 RBIs in his past 17 games, after hitting .226 with 11 RBIs in his first 54 games.
There we go.
Chipper just extended his streak
June 25th, 20109:20 pm
Does Chipper hit “meaningless singles”……just asking..?????
Well Chipper comes out to Crazy Train, but for awhile he used a mix between the Ozzie version and the rap version by Trick Daddy.
I think he’s only doing the Ozzie version this year, though
If the Braves hold on a win this, maybe iTunes will put it up as a Game Of The Year. They put A-Rod’s 500th homer as a GOTY.
Heyward needs a day off, why wont they just give em a day off!
June 25th, 20109:21 pm
9 game streak = eff yo rockin chair.
for future reference….anyone know about the tigers pen? is there a cy hiding in there somewhere?
RHR, No this was 7 or 8 yrs. ago. I know it weren’t Crazy Train.
7 or 8 years ago, Chipper used Ozzy Osbourne’s Crazy Train.
June 25th, 20109:22 pm
no such thing as a meaningless hit at the time it occurs. strictly a silly armchair manager idea
yeah jeffrey that one is called let’s go
There ya go Chipper 9 game hitting streak!!
How about number 101 BMac?
June 25th, 20109:23 pm
I don’t remember Chipper coming out to AC/DC. LaRoche and Moylan have…but I don’t think I’ve seen Chipper
I love how the announcers continue to make excuses for Jason Heyward looking like dog sheot at the plate. He should be sat down, especially against lefties, or at least dropped down in the order to 7th until such time as he gets a clue. I would much rather have Hinske bat against lefties than Heyward.
How bout an inside-the-parker for HR 101 here?
June 25th, 20109:24 pm
101 would be sweet
jeffreeeeeeeey d -
Smoltzie also used AC/DC, at least when he was closing
Probably the most recognizable song in the Majors, Chipper has come out to “Crazy Train” for several years now. However, that almost all came to an end. At the start of the 2002 season, Chipper decided he’d had enough of “Crazy Train.” So, he told the music guys that he wanted to come out to Kid Rock’s “Cowboy.” The Braves fans were destroyed. They hated “Cowboy” and demanded the return of “Crazy Train.” After months of fan mail over the change, he felt obligated to go back to the Ozzy hit. “Crazy Train” is still his song today. Every now and then he mixes in a Kid Rock song, but at least twice a game you’ll hear “du-du. du-du. du-du. Eye, Eye, Eye …,” and you know that Chipper is coming up to bat ESPN
Jeffreeeey d – I remember every time I have been to a game, even as a child, it was Crazy Train. I don’t remember an AC/DC song for him, either. It may have been another player.
June 25th, 20109:25 pm
Heyward vs. lefties: .225
Hinske vs. lefties: .222
I’d rather see Heyward work things out. Although I agree that he should be lower in the order
Noles, well I kinda suspected it. Hoping I was wrong!
Oh, sure, you save your K’s with RISP/2 outs when I’m watching. (ITS)
Jerry, i couldn’t agree more – i feel like too many people are turning a blind eye to what seems to be an growing problem with Heyward. I’m not saying send him to AAA or anything, but if you keep a guy hitting as badly as he is in the #2 spot, it’s gonna start costing you games. If this thumb thing is really an issue, give him some rest until it heals. At the very least, move him down to the 6 or 7 hole where he’s not quite as much a liability.
June 25th, 20109:26 pm
Sandra Golden looks like a man……
June 25th, 20109:27 pm
*for when I’m watching…
Ban McFann from watching the games!!!
June 25th, 20109:28 pm
Well then that makes me manly than you!
June 25th, 20109:29 pm
Anyone saw the Zambrano incident. Just awful.
Ignore The Smile (he’s smiles at the end of the eyeroll.)
i despise leadoff walks
June 25th, 20109:30 pm
Musta been Roachy I was thinning about.
This is retarded. Why is Medlin still in there? His pitch count is at a 100 and we have a great bullpen. Lets use it…
hee. zambrona at it again.
MLB Trade Rumors has a bit on the Braves and possibly dealing Yunel. Saying it would take a attractive package to aquire him. Wonder how much he could possibly get us in return for a trade?
June 25th, 20109:31 pm
Cheshire, personally I think the whole thumb issue was another excuse for him to do bad. Not once have I seen him favoring any digit on either hand, or wince in pain. Not once. Smokescreen!
lol – leadoff walks are the worst. especially when you are only up 1 and your offense looks anemic.
M E D L E N!!!
June 25th, 20109:32 pm
might as well be talking to a tree, cab.
Jerry, i’ve wondered the same thing, only because if everyone knows an injury is killing his numbers, why would you keep batting him #2 and putting your offense at risk??? that doesn’t make sense to me.
June 25th, 20109:33 pm
So typical – a rookie completely shuts us down. Anyone else not looking forward to Strasburg on Monday…. He’s going to have like 15 K’s after 7 innings
I know, but I have to try! He’s my boy, after all
The bad guy on Scooby Doo
June 25th, 20109:34 pm
and i woulda gotten away with it if not for you medlin kids!
Bobby must have read your comment, braveslifer
Why are we taking Medlen out?
Another great night for Meds!
hats off to Medlen… another outstanding start
I think chipper just said with his eye, “Welcome to the rotation kid”.
Well done Meds! Here’s hoping we can hold on and get him the win!
No way would I trade Escobar unless we were completely overwhelmed by an offer.
I don’t know how you send Medlen back to the pen after his gutsy performances. KK must get sent to the BP. I totally agree with DOB’s tweet from yesterday about Saito…”gotta question that call of putting Saito in back to back games after coming off DL.” That cost us the game. I’m not as big of a Bobby hater as most on here, but I think an excellent example if one wanted to pile on…
June 25th, 20109:35 pm
Kris, Strasburg is a rightie. I’m more scared of Oliver Perez lol
Venters would be my guess…..but I just got here…..
Good job by Medlen. Maybe would have liked to see him get out of the inning but whatever.
a rookie completely shuts us down
7 baserunners and 4 Ks in 6 innings isn’t exactly shutting us down.
Oh and uh….we’re winning
Kris, a couple of weeks ago when i found out we were facing Strasburg i was excited. Now i’m terrified.
There goes Meds….here comes EOF.
June 25th, 20109:36 pm
trade yunel for somebody who smiles. hey…jeff francoeur smiles a lot.
I agree Feeanch. Well said
Get him EO.
That’s true…nope, O’Flaherty…
USC 2, Clemson 0 in the bottom of the 2nd.
i’d have no problem trading Escobar, especially for a quality centerfielder. i’d package him with a pitching prospect and see if PIttsburgh would part with McCutchen.
I also heard that Yunel is on his way out.
June 25th, 20109:37 pm
Great show by meds! Now its up to you pen to get the win…
YEah, “completely shuts us down”? You’re forgetting about those two runs…? One of which was a milestone Homer…
DOB: Whats the crowd look like numbers wise?
June 25th, 20109:38 pm
and why would Pittsburgh part with McCutchen?
Come on Eric.
guys, 2 runs on 5 hits isn’t exactly a solid performance for an offense. the Detroit pitcher has shut us down.
Andruw smiles a lot too
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
