Melky obviously forgot the kid is a rookie. If he’d been here for more than a couple months, he’d know to hit a weak ground ball to the second baseman.

Melky has definitly improved and is playing around what was expected, but a huge bounce back like this makes him a trade piece if we decide to upgrade the outfield.

Well i still have a hell of a lot more confidence in Medlen – a couple of nice catches earlier or not. Sometimes a pitchers need the guys to make a nice play behind em.
A few hard hit balls in one inning isn’t going to change 13 starts where it looked like i was watching the home run derby every 5th day.

Avery looks like he could still pitch. But then again he wasn’t around that long….Only had 3 or 4 good years and 11 season as a pro…but yeah he looks good.

Avery hasn’t aged a day. Dude was a dominant lefty back in the early nineties, and I personally believe he would have been the fourth horseman of the apocalypse, had he not gotten hurt early on. Great to see Steve again.
