Lee, you should not wish injury upon anyone, I do wish he was out of the lineup though.

Rob from SC – And that would be a good reason for him to stop swinging at it, unless he wants a Larry Wayne Jones season ending finger surgery :P

Any chance McLouth will just tip his cap before stepping into the batter’s box?

Just finished voting all of my alloted votes as well as my husband’s emails too.

I want to stay up to watch, but we didn’t get home from the game on Tuesday night until 1:15 a.m., and I’m still sleep deprived. But, it’s been a good sleep deprived! Wouldn’t change it for a second!

Chipper’s Life before, during and after an AB:

Before the AB:
Chipper to himself: Ok Chip, remember, do not swing at anything if possible, specially at those outside pitches, wait for the walk. Remember it.
During the AB:
Chipper to himself: Ok old man, dont swing at anything outside, you know what’s gonna happen… here it comes, remember, don’t do it… here… aaah *makes a weak, one-handed, short, unbalance swing, hitting a tapper/grounder right at the second baseman for the out/4-6-3 DP*.. Damnit!
After the AB:
Chipper to trainers: I think I hurt my ring finger.
Trainers: How?
Chipper: Well, while hustling (smirk) down the line I felt some pain in my superior oblique muscle, I tried to stop running and that’s when I pulled left my groin.
Trainers: I thought you said you hurt your finger, how was that?
Chipper: I dont know, I tried to signal you guys with my hand to come check me out, and the finger just broke.

Hey DOB, I just heard your interview with Charley Steiner via XM radio on my interminable drive home from work (1 1/2 hours — wall-to-wall parking lot all the way across the lake). Great interview! (Although you didn’t sound exactly like I expected. But when I thought about your picture, the voice matched. Funny how that works.)

Anyway, you gave good interview. Nice going!

bird, not sure what you are chirping about. I thought TP needed to go, and while I am truly enjoying the turn around, I have not idea how much credit to give to TP. There were a few feel good articles written about him in the paper, and he stood up and gave some interviews, but I have yet to hear anyone on the team blame him for their struggles, or credit him for their success. Glaus certainly has not stood up and said “Thank you TP for helping me get through that.”

You would be better to just drop it and enjoy the great baseball we are being treated with.
