Why not Wags. Just one more out.
uh oh…thats bigger than this game…..moylan struggling and we lose the set up guy……wow
Brave4life- 1995 all over again
I think it just a cramp. hopefully
I Wear No Pants
that SUUUUUCKS. hope it’s not serious. he’s been such a force for the back of our ‘pen lately.
Dang thats messed up. Venters only need one strike
Wow, what a night. Everyone pull it together for one more strike.
Bring in Heyward for his 1st MLB Save. Pad his ROY stats.
Rob from SC
He is where we really miss Kris Medlen. We desperately need another RH for the bullpen.
NO MORE BOBBY
Whats up with Jordans Hitler mustache?
June 4th, 20101:04 am
I am kind of irritated now, I have work in the morning and I have to know if we win or lose tonight.
Come on Venters, I want to go to sleep!
My clock chimed midnight just as that all went down.
In a game where it looked like we might not have to use the pen at all, we’ve sure plowed threw relievers pretty quick.
Brave4life … I would image Resop has to get called up now. Heck, Saito those were two great pitches with a bum leg. Maybe that helps ya! Stay in there!
This is insane.
Johnny. Throw it off the plate.
1 strike!! Come on!!
Would rather have seen Kimbrel.
June 4th, 20101:05 am
that sux – quess kimbrel will be on a red-eye from atlanta.
Im gonna be a zombie at work
tomorrow. Bank on it!
need to throw that slider low and inside
Don’t give him a thing to hit.
Yeah, who’s the eighth inning guy now? With Moylan sucking lately and Saito being injured apparently?
Wow are you serious!?
see you didn’t need much warmup!
PHEW. Great win, fellas.
well that was easy
June 4th, 20101:06 am
Ha, one pitch save. Awesomeness.
So glad Meds got the W!
JC from DR!
YES!! 9 in a row!!! Lets get 6 more!!
BamaDude @ CowCollege AL
one pitch SAVE …wow
NICE PITCH VENTERS!!
Woooooohoooooo!!!!! Attaboy!! Great win!
YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 9 in a row!!
And just like the rain delays of last week, we close this one out quick when play resumes…
Atta Boy VENTERS!
NINE STRAIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 GAMES UP!!!!!!!!
This was a stressful last hour
Steve from OH
Nine game winning streaks are better than nine game losing streaks.
Haha clowned russell martin.
9 in a row!
3 game lead!
Yes. Thank you very much.
You would not think that that would be a 9th win in a row.
That looked like the first win after a 9 game losing streak.
told ya the bullpen would come to the rescue….helluva job by meds……
Attaboy, Johnny! GO BRAVES! “all i do is WIN WIN WIN no matter what” yeah GIT SOME dodgers! Night yall!
that’s a really good win– on the West Coast against a really good team that has been very, very hot.
1 pitch save BALLGAME 9 game win streak 3 games up on Philly
good for the game…I’m worried about Saito now
June 4th, 20101:07 am
Great Job TP!!!!!!!
We’ve officially made up for the 9 game losing streak
well I am out to bed, everyone enjoy the win until you go to sleep until tomorrow night GO BRAVES!!!!!!!
First 9-game winning streak in a decade! Great job, Braves!
I missed the last out. What happened?
June 4th, 20101:08 am
There’s our win!!
A litle bit of insanity there to finish up a big win for our Bravos.
Well, that was worth staying up for. Night all!
just need to win the series
Now Moylan gets to treat Medlen, Saito, and Venters to a round of Fosters.
9 in a Row, WHERE’S THE LOVE FOR TP??? GREAT JOB TP!!!!!!
June 4th, 20101:09 am
He struck out on one pitch from venters.
gutted out that win – ha!
Its just stupid….that guy Martinez is wasting a roster spot!!!! Bobby never uses him!! NEVER not even in blow outs!!! We could have another pitcher like Resop or Ortegano or even Kimbrel…
I say to you Wren, bring up Kimbrel for Chavez! and bring Resop for no-use Martinez!!! REALLY !
9 game losing streak is officially offset!!!
June 4th, 20101:10 am
More worried about Saito/Moylan than a win on June 3.
That bridge to Wagner has been one of THE keys to this season so far. Someone’s going to have to step into that role if Saito is injured and Moylan keeps pitching like this.
Man, I sound like MFin. Sorry to be Debbie Downer.
The Braves are “Even Stevens”…they lost 9 straight, now they’ve won 9 straight.
Hope Saito is ok.
A win is a win and the ninth in a row, but Billy Wager has appeared in twenty-two games half of which have been non-save situations. Is Cox mismanaging his bullpen again?
June 4th, 20101:11 am
Thanks b4life! You turn your head and miss it all!
imagine if we just won a few of those games, we would have the best record in the NL
June 4th, 20101:12 am
Moylan is just in a funk, saito looks like he had cramps. I hope it turns alright
June 4th, 20101:13 am
funny thing during this WHOLE season pin one on bobby? yeah maybe pitts. but what else?
Don't look now...
June 4th, 20101:14 am
Exactly 33.33% ( that’s 1/3 for you GT grads…) through the season now…and on pace now for 96 wins! Who would have thunk that 30 days ago???
Been on a great run…how long can we keep it going?
I say…till the Braves sweep the world series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m worried about our bullpen for tomorrow!! I sure hope chinese guy Kawacrappy throws a complete game shuout tomorrow!!! Im really praying that Saito is fine…he has been so steady for us…but those quad injuries usually are serious!!!! hope its not a hamstring…
Brave4life, I’m with ya.
Moylan has been so good for so long – except for a few bad outings at the beginning of last year – that you come to expect him to get guys out. So when gives up 9 hits in 20 at-bats – with most of those coming to righties — it’s alarming.
As for Saito, that would be great if its just cramps. But I can’t imagine he’d take himself out of a game like that because of cramps. We’ll see, I guess.
June 4th, 20101:15 am
My dubious comments aside, our Braves are now the hottest team in baseball having won twenty of their last twenty-five games.
I really have a good feeling now, about our chances to make the playoffs! Lets keep winning. 10 in a row tomorrow!
June 4th, 20101:16 am
If the Braves lose Saito, it would be devastating. I hope it’s just a cramp and not a hammy problem.
moylan, is suffering from foster’s disease. seen our mates face?
if it was cramps, it was in the back of his left leg.. probably makes it hard to pitch with a “charlie horse” in your leg.
June 4th, 20101:17 am
Metallica … and the bullpen has been A HUGE reason for that stretch — so I dont know if we can say Bobby’s mismanaging anything right now. Seems to be making a lot of good moves so far, especially considering this starting staff hasn’t exaclty been Hallidaying a bunch of complete games this year.
June 4th, 20101:18 am
If the Braves lose Saito, it would be devastating. I hope it’s just a cramp and not a hammy problem. ,
If they do Venters should take over his role.
June 4th, 20101:19 am
Foster’s disease is a very bad fate. I have suffered from the American equivalent, and hope that no Brave suffers from it.
Moylan needs to watch this kid from Newnan Ga on the Lady Dawgs to see how to pitch submariner – she is blowing away the Huskies!
Saito’s gonna be fine. Just a cramp, you’ll see!
So… we can count on Kershaw throwing a complete-game shutout tomorrow?
June 4th, 20101:20 am
I agree, the bullpen has been fantastic. I’m just worried that they might run out of gas come August and September. But yes, Cox seems to be pushing the right buttons at the moment.
June 4th, 20101:21 am
Why do you call him Kershaw?
Did Firearm just “ballgame” us for tomorrow?
June 4th, 20101:22 am
She just sruck out the side!
Goergia wins!!! And they are singing “It’s great… to be… a Georgia Bulldog”
The Lady Dawgs go on to face the Vols in the semis!
June 4th, 20101:23 am
In fastpitch softball, isnt it a suprise when they DONT strike out the side?
June 4th, 20101:24 am
DOB, there are crowds, can always tell when the indigo girls and melissia etheridge are at chastain.
high boots on short women.
can tell when good bands are their too. saw the doobies, with frampton.
not your style, but the boy band was just across the street.
Metallica … By that time, the Braves will have a 14-game lead and have clinched the division. So wagner will have plenty of time to rest up for October.
June 4th, 20101:25 am
Actually, the Lawrie girl that GA faced, supposedly the best pitcher in NCAA, did not strike out one GA batter. Kind of shocking.
June 4th, 20101:27 am
What I was going to say way back when, right about the time I started getting flashbacks of last year and almost jinxed us, is that if we can just hold on and win tonight and keep the momentum, there would be little reason to think the streak is coming to an end anytime soon.
But you never know do you?
I definitely started to get that feeling like we couldn’t deliver that knock-out shot. Now the question is can we finally score some runs for KK? Either way, if he can find a way to pitch like he did last time you have to like our chances.
Maybe they were a little jet-lagged. You never know. You never know, but if we can keep it going tomorrow, then Hanson, Hudson and then… the D-Backs.
Illini … all night? Didn’t strike out a batter? I dont know much about fastpitch softball, but that seems insane.
Wayne in Utah
June 4th, 20101:28 am
I like Kawakami against Kershaw. Dragon killer.
Let’s hope Saito will be OK. If not, this will be Resop’s shot.
June 4th, 20101:33 am
By the way, Kris Medlen has an ERA of 3.20 in his four starts. While averaging just over six innings per game. Not bad work from a fifth starter, not bad at all.
June 4th, 20101:35 am
My mistake – turns out she had 5Ks after all. But that is I guess about less than half of her normal per game. Our gals were putting good wood on the ball. Our pitchers struck out 10.
June 4th, 20101:37 am
In Moylan’s defense, he just gave up one hit, and then Heyward made an errant throw. Heyward has made 4 errors already, his defense has not been too good, he hasn’t had an assist.
