All you folks talking about Mac at home plate. I think there wasnt enough time to check the runner and position himself. Was a lucky bounce and a snap throw from Moylan. Mac barely caught it and dove back towards the plate. Thought he did a decent job, Dewitt was better that’s all.

Uh, folks, watch the freakin replay. Yes, McCann ran up the line for the ORIGINAL throw from Heyward. Then, he ran back to the plate to get the throw from Moylan, which was pretty much righ on target. Sure, he had to set up quickly…but if you aren’t aware enough of the plate and the runner to set up in the right spot, that’s on YOU as the catcher. And don’t try to tell me that this is the ONLY time McCann has set up off to the side and tried a swipe tag, a dive back, etc. That’s his MO.

Again, though I’m defnitely not a fan of softball, Dawgs fans oughta turn to ESPN2 to see if the Lady Dawgs can pull the upset over the heavily-favored Washington Huskies.

Heyward’s got to make amends for that error with a long ball…preferably after Prado & Infante get on base.

Moylan seems to be nibbling a lot and working behind in the count. Of course, his arm could be a little fatigued and that could be causing him to not be sharp. Hard to say.

DOB, I don’t know how you do it. Sitting up there in the press box and having to act like you don’t care.

I mean, I know you’re a pro but that would be tough for me.

Not that you don’t care. I mean, remain impartial. But you knew that, cause you’re a pro.

I just said that.

Come on Martin.

Martin needs to get it done.

I’m willing to give BMAC the benefit of the doubt on that play. He’s sprawled on the ground trying to tag body parts he can’t see before they get by him. It was an EXCEPTIONAL tag by the runner. Anybody remember a play by Greg Maddux a few years ago where a catcher had him dead to rights and Maddux basically jumps over him and scores? Wish I could remember more details.
