lol is JHey up to bat or something? Weaver took one look at JHey and decided he didn’t want to pitch after all.
McFann :Ô: :Ô:

…It was Jeff.
JC from DR!
Can the Braves make it 15 straight like in 2000?
I wouldn’t have said so before but I don’t know how you cant keep giving Kris the ball the way he is pitching.
for some reason the blogs not real fond of kawakami but he keeps the team in the game most of his starts…..not bad for a back end starter.
What the heck?
June 3rd, 201011:56 pm
McFann, yes Jeff was the one with the cards. Jered has always been with the angels.
You mean 2, 3 , 4,5 sounds like runs, right?
I know it won’t happen but I drool to see this:
This is how it should have been from the start.
And Brave4life – maybe because Asians aren’t MLB material?
KK is starting to pitch. Lets just see what happens? K?
Is Wagner available tonight?
Do the Dodgers not have many fans?
JC, that is funny you mentioned that. I was actually talking about that earlier about that and I was like that is possible, of course the Dodgers broke it up against Maddux.
Brave4life- 1995 all over again
Who ever is hot let em stay in the rotation
Well, there was supposed to be a strike through the 4, for McFann, but I don’t know how to do it…
June 3rd, 201011:57 pm
haha nope 2-3-4..I have faith in McCann fo sho!
Rob from SC
Steve from OH
DO you believe MEdlen is a 4 because he doesn’t throw harder than 92. His changeup takes care of that. When he masters a thir pitch I can see him as a 2/3
I think Ichiro would have something to say about that. He has only led the league in hits every year since he came over.
that douche bag that said swing
ya, jinx. Scully being Scully tonight. Classic stuff.
The only guy who really does worry me is Ethier. We just need to keep runners off the base paths when he is up if at all possible. That would be great.

Hey, I been listening on MLB Audio. “My Little Pony” Medlen is a big league pitcher AND hitter, huh!
What a nice start to the game/series. Lets get 3-4 more off their pen, and bring in Venters and O’Flaherty to close it out.
Brave4life – I definitely would, but I am not the one making managerial decisions, luckily. Just my opinion though, however, McLouth ain’t hot and he is unfortunately in the rotation.
I don’t think Wags is available.
Dodgers have a lot of fans, but many of them are also Lakers fans, and many would rather watch the Lakers play in the Finals than the Dodgers play in June.
Tommy G couldn’t throw over 90
Ignore that last post from Reeeeed.
What are the chances of a rain delay Dave?
Chipper looking like a coach/manager there! I can dig it!
I missed Loaf?! No way.
June 3rd, 201011:59 pm
Bobbeeee’s Cox – I thought you were going to the game tonight?
They’re all watching the Fakers. That’s why I’m here watching the game & blogging, otherwise I’d be at the game.
Come on Jason.
Jinx again….see comment right below your last.
June 4th, 201012:00 am
Kuroda’s out of the game, racist guy. See you tomorrow when KK pitches. Same some material for tomorrow.
Medlen seems like a Maddux type player. Not saying he has Mad Dog’s abilities, but stuff wise, he is close.
“McLouth tries to bunt and foul-pops out. Couldn’t have done much worse there.” DOB
Oh, sure he could have. He could have attempted to bunt the ball, and it could have hit Heyward in the head, knocking him out of the lineup for a while.
But other than that? Yeah. Horrible idea and worse execution of said horrible idea.
On the flip side, Medlen is starting to come around, huh? (as a starter, that is).

Vin Scully on Snotboogieeee:
“What a sarcastic douche-nozzle.”
Yeah…sometimes I get them mixed up. But Jeff gave up BMac’s first career Grand Slam, so how cann I forget him?
Aw, thanks for thinkin’ of me…I need to make that diagram from doing strike-thoughs…I stink at explaining it (especially at midnight).
KK has benn amazing the past few starts, why no love for him???
Probably because his pitching, even when good, hasn’t translated to wins? And don’t give me the “it’s just the racist idiots” crap, some of the hate towards KK even from the sane posters is going overboard.
helps the OBP

Charge the Mound!!!!!!!!!!!
So after yesterday’s 14 inning game when they burnt quite a few pitchers, they are into their 3rd today. We keep chipping away and by the 3rd or 4th game, they might just have pitchers “take one for the team”.
McCann redeem yourself
not cool hitting JH.
June 4th, 201012:02 am
Dude, I wasnt being sarcastic – damn serious. I am actually reading his famous quotes on the web. Wow.
I guess walking McCann to get to Glaus, haha.
June 4th, 201012:03 am
“they might just have pitchers “take one for the team”.”
Or as the Braves call it, do a Jesse Chavez.
A saw a stat that said like 24 of the 35 games he has pitched, the braves have only scored 2 runs or less.. How do you expect to win games???
Wayne in Utah
C’mon Babe Glaus! Another tater!
Tah tah tah TAN!! Troy Glaus coming up!!
everybody wanted Jason in the 2 hole and he’s hitting about 250 or so there ain’t he?
Let’s stop beating around the bush.
Steve from OH
Nah, I don’t see his command as good enough to be a 2, Rob. He leaves a few too many FBs over the middle for my liking, but he’s seemed to get away with them so far this season. Not too many, of course, but it’s something I’ve noticed. He’s been very good this year, but keep in mind that exposure has been limited, and I think it’s very hard to expect him to keep this pace up. Plus, his stuff isn’t overpowering and I think he’ll have trouble pitching past the 6th inning on a regular basis if he’s a member of the rotation because you see a lot of guys put tough ABs on him and force him to throw some pitches. Not tonight, of course, but in past games. Nitpicky, I know, but it’s something. Maybe he’s a 3. Who knows? He’s really valuable to the team, that’s for sure.
I would like to see him throw his curve more.
Well, OK, walks are nice…
Win today and your up 3 games. Wonder when the last time the Braves had a three game lead this late in the year?
June 4th, 201012:04 am
Time for some runs with Glaus!
Oh well, I still heart you Glaus.
It’s tough watching Glaus bat now. Anything less than a 3-run homer is a disappointment.
I agree with the meds assesment above…..his curve should be his out pitch
June 4th, 201012:05 am
what word do i put through the greater than/less than signs to do the strike-through?
Jason Heyward does not charge the mound. The mound comes to him!
Glaus is forgiven, because of what he has done for us in the past month
wow he is human.
I was about to ask how long has it been since the last time Glaus grounded into a DP… and BAM!
Wow – Michael from LOST singing God Bless America…
Glaus reminding us how far he’s come in a month.
but I will never complain about Glaus he has put us on his broad shoulders and said lets go!
Ah well…I gotta shut this thing down and go to bed. Hee hee…technically, I’m not even s’posed to be on here. Night, all!
June 4th, 201012:06 am
Ya, win today and the Phillies are almost closer to last, than they are to 1st.
Hopefully Kris can just get through the next inning unscathed.
hope medlin can go all nine innings and give bullpen rest.
Well, his curve looked a lot sharper to me last year than it does this year. I’m not sure why he’s not throwing it more. When I saw him at Pittsburgh he was mostly FB/CH and the few curves he threw weren’t overly impressive. If he got that curve back he’d be really tough.
BC – del
As for Maddux’s “stuff”? He always said that his brother Mike had better stuff.
Yeah. Just like Billy Ripken was more durable than Cal, Ozzie Canseco had more power than Jose, and Sandy Alomar had better wheels than Roberto, Tommie Aaron had more power than Hank, and Mike Glavine’s circle change blew his brother’s away.
Gotta love Greg saying that, but COME ON! LOL
June 4th, 201012:07 am
Oh…”del”…without the quotes, of course, of course…
It’s tough watching Glaus bat now. Anything less than a 3-run homer is a disappointment.
Aint that the truth. Plus I worry that the magic will suddenly run out. We could go far with his contribution.
Oh gee, THANKS Troy.
Out of the 5 guys I have in fantasy (Furcal, Carroll, Kemp, Glaus, McCann), I have a combined 2 hits. Both by Glaus.
Alright Kris. Let’s go.
I really wish he did have a few more runs to work with.
What kind of style points did you folks give Manny on his flog?
Now get in bed.
June 4th, 201012:08 am
big inning right here!! get through this and maybe he could go 9.
Don’t get me wrong, I think we’d be in better shape as a club if we had Meds in KK’s spot (mostly because we’d get a similar performance for about 7MM less), but really, you can’t blame Wren at all for signing KK when he did, especially because at that time Medlen’s ascent as a starter was something that I don’t think any of us could’ve forseen.
Kemp doing Braves a huge favor swinging at the first pitch…
Ok – please get Ethier out this time. I’d like to think its possible.
June 4th, 201012:09 am
Wow, EVERYBODY stayed home to watch the Lakers. Don’t think I’ve ever see that many empty seats at Dodger Stadium with a game in progress.
DOB, you will appreciate this. we vacated the house and the neighborhood.
the back street boys played chastain tonight.
just got home to troy hit into a double play.
if you live in the chastain area, you can always predict the crowd by their clothing.
nolie, my beer cannot keep the crow down. I was wrong on glauss. way wrong.
That was very nice.
Just get Ethier.
D-backs have lost 10 in a row
It’s true thought about “stuff”. It was always said that Smoltz had the best pure stuff of the big three….Glavine and Maddux live with changing speeds and out thinking the hitter.
June 4th, 201012:10 am
One more Kris. First pitch to Manny. Ground ball.
Good got Ethier!
Dang, I saw the D-Backs beat Toronto on 5/22… was that their last win?!
Was that Michael from Lost who just sang “God Bless America”?
Career-high 6-2/3 innings (and counting) for Medlen….
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
