I’m sure he’s bearing down as hard as he does for any other start, Lee, but the mental aspect of playing in front of your hometown with lots of old friends/family in attendance isn’t something players can replicate elsewhere. I do think it gives them an edge, have seen it too many times. Decided when I saw Jo Jo pitch his ass off in a game in SoCal last year? year before? that there must really be something to it.
snotboogie, you are getting very close to a hot button for Trey. I strongly urge you and everyone else to drop this subject. No offense, Trey, but you will surely admit that you do have strong views about this.
eric, I am very opinionated, but no offense taken. I wasn’t going to get angry, no sense in it. However, I wasn’t answering his question because I am kind of slow and I’d have to read his question a few times and try to understand what he asking.
eric- I mean I know he was asking where in baseball was racism is allowed, which I never said it was allowed, but it should not be talked about but it should in no way, be censored, but ignored by those that do not want to deal with racism.
but the AL East has a awful team, the Orioles…I mean thats automatic 3 wins..the NL East has no automatic wins..even the Nationals will be a tough sweep or even 1/3 with Strasburg..the NL East is by far the most competitive division in baseball.
THEEEEEEE Braves win – Can you please not be so racist? I am just asking, man. You can be whatever you want, I just don’t feel like seeing arguing back and forth.
I know it won’t happen (b/c Cox seems to have a real aversion to letting any of his pitchers throw more than 110 pitches in a game) but I seriously hope he let’s Medlen finish this game … unless he encounters real trouble, that is
NL East is the deepest division. AL East is probably the toughest, cause they have probably the two best teams in baseball, and a couple of other good ones.
re: my last post … Cox already said Wags is doubtful and Saito’s status wasn’t much better … but, I’m telling you, if Medlen is anywhere near 110 pitches in the 8th or 9th and he hasn’t gotten himself into any real trouble, Cox will pull him
Brave4life, I am just starting to like KK a little more, but Medlen has been better, also he is younger let him start and get more victories. KK is already older so he won’t get to have a chance at 300 possible victories. If Medlen is a starter for 20 years, he can do a lot of amazing things.

For example, if we hold on to win tonight, the Dodgers would lose their 8th game in 10 against NL East clubs.
In my opinion the east is the best in both leagues and if I had to rank them the al east would be the tougest division followed by the nl east.
