I’m sure he’s bearing down as hard as he does for any other start, Lee, but the mental aspect of playing in front of your hometown with lots of old friends/family in attendance isn’t something players can replicate elsewhere. I do think it gives them an edge, have seen it too many times. Decided when I saw Jo Jo pitch his ass off in a game in SoCal last year? year before? that there must really be something to it.

For example, if we hold on to win tonight, the Dodgers would lose their 8th game in 10 against NL East clubs.
In my opinion the east is the best in both leagues and if I had to rank them the al east would be the tougest division followed by the nl east.

but the AL East has a awful team, the Orioles…I mean thats automatic 3 wins..the NL East has no automatic wins..even the Nationals will be a tough sweep or even 1/3 with Strasburg..the NL East is by far the most competitive division in baseball.

Medlen vs KK in the bullpen — much better with Medlen in the pen. Medlen is a very versatile and effective reliever.

Brave4life, I am just starting to like KK a little more, but Medlen has been better, also he is younger let him start and get more victories. KK is already older so he won’t get to have a chance at 300 possible victories. If Medlen is a starter for 20 years, he can do a lot of amazing things.
