“why do you build me up buttercup baby just to let me down, and mess me around”..McFann should sing it for McCann..and NEVER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! run with Glaus up.

Maybe it’s time for Glaus to hit in the cleanup spot.

Its been so for a while now. Bobby might change it up sometime this roadtrip if Mac cant get a few key hits. One can hope.

If McCann insists on swinging at shoulder high pitches, I’m sure every pitcher in the league will accommodate him.

But that’s assuming the Braves’ pitchers can hold them down.

Bobbeeeeee’s Maybe it’s time for Glaus to hit in the cleanup spot.

There’s a novel idea! Seriously…twice as many homers, nearly three times as many RBI as BMac…come on, Bobby!!

Glaus is hot by anybody’s standards right now, but you know what? His .858 OPS (after the HR) is right in line with his career .855. He’s a very good hitter, who missed a year due to injury. I’m not saying I expected him to be this good, but we really shouldn’t be so surprised.

Vin Scully on Medlen’s high first pitch strike percentage:

“It’s as if 0 and 1 is painted on the scoreboard…”

Also his recounting and summation of the Jim Joyce call in Detroit made you want to run out and hug an umpire. Vin Scully is awesome-plus.

You know, Dave O’ Brien, I’m kind of glad that Glaus had that home run taken away, because if he had five in five days, then it would REALLY, REALLY tick me off that the Braves still weren’t getting any national love. I know I shouldn’t care. But it’s just my insecure side showing.

I’d hate to see Medlen go back to reliever roll, brian. I think when JJ gets back, KK should go to the reliever roll. Granted KK has improved, but I honestly think Medlen is better.

Meds is a starter. Just probably not for this team as it is currently constructed (plus JJ), for a variety of reasons (several of which might not be fair to Kris). Long-term he’s not much more than a 4 though, I think.
