Do you have an umbrella with you Mitchell?
Mr. Turnip-Green Jeans
Roadrunner McCann flashing that speed!
haha yeah I know VA, I am reall bitter right now over it!
This is great! Nice to see Chipper, Mac and Escobar all getting in on the action.
Escobar looked to be safe at 2B, but as Joe said, you aren’t going to get that call when the ball beats you by that much. Looked to me on the initial replay that Escobar didn’t really bust it out of the box right away THEN decided to go for two.
Don’t really care, because he knocked in the runs. So no gripes here.
At least we cleared McLouth for the next inning.
this is so great! Even though I’m at work it is awesome!
Man, you think the crowd would be more into it.
Come on people. First place.
Is there a game on today? What time?
May 31st, 20102:17 pm
The Gameday can’t catch up to the Braves offense!
Salty the game is now.
still Yunel seems to be lolly gaggin out of of the box. should have been runner on 2nd with 1 out and Nate up, instead will most liely have Hanson leadnig off the inning.
or the offical braves homepage gameday is okay
May 31st, 20102:18 pm
now gamecast is doing 4 pitches a second.
I am tired of game day.
CBS, MLB, etc. must be short staffed today…
Braves One, just saw your post about Escobar coming out of the box. Glad somebody else saw it as I did.
But like I said, I’m just glad he’s healthy, and hitting the ball. I’ll take his occasional mental lapse if that means he’s raking, opposed to him not hitting at all. LOL
Good job by the soldier on the SB. Tough to run in the boots.

Gameday freezed! But by reading the comments, that was an awesome inning!!
I only had to work for 4 hours today. I got home during the top of the 1st, but I am DVRing it though, so I won’t be missing anything.
May 31st, 20102:20 pm
Nice, a K by Hanson!!!!
Sit down you frikkin cow!

What are we getting at here BMB?
Did my one pessimistic comment about Tommy’s early struggles negate all of my other positive thoughts about the game today?
2 quicks ones, oh yes.
Very Un-Shane-like there.
You mean the Victorino didn’t give it a 110%?
Ho(ward) sit down!
May 31st, 20102:22 pm
Get the Praying Mantis Tommy!
What’s the next demarcation line below Mendoza? Nate has to be nearing it. The Norton Line maybe?
May 31st, 20102:23 pm
Mr. Turnip-Green Jeans, no it is the McLouth line
Mr. Turnip-Green Jeans – gotta be the norton line
May 31st, 20102:24 pm
Braves gave the Phils ‘the disease’. You know, the ‘inability to hit’ disease.
shut em down hanson. YES!
Nice 1 2 3 inning. Could Tommy be settling down?
That’s a good inning, there, Hanson.
Get a couple more just like that.
1-2-3 inning… nice!
nice job tommy
Maybe Norton can come back and DH for McLouth.
Great day to be a Braves fan
May 31st, 20102:25 pm
Nice to see the Phillies demoralized and literally “giving up” on this game. Gotta keep pouring it on though. Hopefully their offense won’t wake up until Thursday.
Hanson seems more aggressive this inning, as he should with a 6-0 lead.
Also nice to see Howard’s defense cost them a couple of runs. I remember the last time the Braves faced the Phils he was doing his GG impersonation over there, as was the whole team.
If Chipper and Escobar start hitting, and this team adds JJJ and Resop (gotta do something with him by June 15th), this team could be scary good.
As Nick told us all winter. Oh wait…. never mind.
Norton’s OBP was still higher than McLouth, at least Norton could draw walks like crazy.
Bartholomeeeew (Bat) Masterson – No
I mean this in a good way if that’s possible but the Braves don’t look like they want to win this game bad enough. _ Mitchell
one? okay man. lol
I hereby proclaim it the Norton/McLouth Line.
Suck it BSPN! Atlanta will rise again
BamaDude @ CowCollege AL
May 31st, 20102:26 pm
I’d love to see the Braves hang another donut on da phils today !!!!!!!! …got way to go though
May 31st, 20102:27 pm
least norton drew some walks
may I ask what BSPN is? I probably sound stupid for asking
May 31st, 20102:28 pm
Why did he swing at the first pitch, again?
Gosh, it seems like we should be further into this game than just the end of the 4th.
not a very good inning there….and I DONT CARE! lol
Have a feeling Tommy will be aggressive and cruise from this point.
Jason, you didn’t want to swing at that.
well, there game appears to be coming down to the bullpens…. despite there struggles the phils can score in bunches…. gota bring our A bullpen out today.
well that was fast!
Yes he did Fear, McLouth can’t even do that, haha. He does strike out while looking, a lot.
May 31st, 20102:29 pm
Try this one, JC
May 31st, 20102:30 pm
The McLouth Line is .180, but can be lowered as need dictates.
May 31st, 20102:31 pm
nice play by chip!!
He settled down a lot!
Whoa. Nice play, CJ.
not bad, Chip!
Nice stop, Chip!!
nice snag Hoss !
Nice play, Chipper.
The McLouth line is from .000 to .180
Chipper with the glove!!!!!!!!
May 31st, 20102:32 pm
Bartholomeeeew (Bat) Masterson – Thank You!
sorry for the dup post
Chipper is doin it all.
May 31st, 20102:33 pm
JC from DR_ sure thing, brother.
I’m watching the Yankee game while also watching Braves on CBSsports, it’s amazing how good Pettitte still is.

never hit him
Got a break there…I heard it hit him.
Get in the box, homey.
Tommy is missing outside to the right a lot today..I wonder why.
May 31st, 20102:34 pm
man when it rains it pours
send Heyward down. he obviously isn’t major league ready and can’t play against the phils or mets
May 31st, 20102:35 pm
JC, when that one does not work use FreeBaseballRadio.com …. You can usually find one there that does.
Is it just me or are the Phillies looking a lot like the Braves did in their bad stretch? Getting guys on base and not able to get them around, close calls going against them, hitting the ball solid at times but nothing to show for it. Amazing how teams get in these funks. Let’s hope this one lasts a long time for the Phils.
Another call going our way today~!! We’re 2-2!
K em up.
nice glare back at the ump by Valdez…almost cost him
Tommy looks to be settling in.
May 31st, 20102:36 pm
Tommy’s over 80-pitches now.
This team had been dogged for two series by bad calls. They are due for some ump lovin’.
Bartholomeeeew (Bat) Masterson – Ok, thanks again for the link and the tips!
And, a nice f-bomb to match.
nice inning by tommy!!
Prado with the glove
Marteeen !!! …
nice inning for tommylicious
