This is great! Nice to see Chipper, Mac and Escobar all getting in on the action.
Escobar looked to be safe at 2B, but as Joe said, you aren’t going to get that call when the ball beats you by that much. Looked to me on the initial replay that Escobar didn’t really bust it out of the box right away THEN decided to go for two.
Don’t really care, because he knocked in the runs. So no gripes here.

Braves One, just saw your post about Escobar coming out of the box. Glad somebody else saw it as I did.
But like I said, I’m just glad he’s healthy, and hitting the ball. I’ll take his occasional mental lapse if that means he’s raking, opposed to him not hitting at all. LOL

Nice to see the Phillies demoralized and literally “giving up” on this game. Gotta keep pouring it on though. Hopefully their offense won’t wake up until Thursday.
Hanson seems more aggressive this inning, as he should with a 6-0 lead.
Also nice to see Howard’s defense cost them a couple of runs. I remember the last time the Braves faced the Phils he was doing his GG impersonation over there, as was the whole team.
If Chipper and Escobar start hitting, and this team adds JJJ and Resop (gotta do something with him by June 15th), this team could be scary good.
As Nick told us all winter. Oh wait…. never mind.

Is it just me or are the Phillies looking a lot like the Braves did in their bad stretch? Getting guys on base and not able to get them around, close calls going against them, hitting the ball solid at times but nothing to show for it. Amazing how teams get in these funks. Let’s hope this one lasts a long time for the Phils.
