Troy hasn’t had his daily RBI yet
ray, yeah, I would too.
Mr. Turnip-Green Jeans
If chipper starts raking, we’re gonna be tough. WS-tough.

Trash collectors have to work today, wow that sux.
Having said all that Hanson his last two starts has done well after battling some wildness. In Fla and now against the Phils he has been wild and shown some control problems but never let it get out of control and battled to give us some innings and to limit the damage.

McCann is making this B*a*s*t*a*r*d*o work.
Braves undefeated this year when they score 5 or more.
” Ithought about Escobar’s out at 2nd, too. But with Nate on deck swinging the bat the way he has been, I’d tell Sid Bream to try and leg out a double, too.” ray k.
Oh, I completely agree, and he SHOULD have had a double on that hit. Victorino made a great play cutting the ball off, stopped and threw a bullet.
But on the replay, it appeared as though Escobar didn’t bust it out of the box. He appeared to watch the ball for his first 3 or 4 steps. It’s a simple theory. Hit the ball, run your ass off and your 1B coach will tell you whether to go for 2B or not. It’s why they are there.
Doubles and Triples are usually a result of a guy running hard right out of the box. No way a guy like Escobar should have been thrown out on a ball that was hit that far in the gap. Add to that, he slid to soon.
Like I said before. I’ll take his mental lapses if he’s raking, because when he’s hitting the whole lineup will change it’s productivity, and after all, his hit made it 6-0 at the time. But at the time, I posted that I hoped it wouldn’t come back to haunt us.
Now that it’s 6-3, it just might. Philles have given the Braves many breaks today (along with the umpire). Can’t ease up on the gas with these guys. Gotta play hard from the get go until the 27th out is recorded.
Easy there, GregRN, you are making yourself look like that dumbazz.
We can’t say Bastardo on here?
May 31st, 20103:37 pm
great at bat for brian
Good at bat!
Way to go, Mac!! 2 on, 1 out.
Great AB by McCann. It’s Troy time
Nice 10-pitch at-bat by McCann. He walks. 1st and 2nd, one out, and Ba$tardo out.
6 2/3 IP, three hits, one earned run, three walks, two Ks. 109 pitches, 42 balls, 67 strikes
JC from DR
Great AB for Mac!
that was a great AB
does RN mean Resident Numbnuts?
What does Victorino mean in Spanish?
FEAR, can I talk you into changing your name to FEEEEEEAR?
May 31st, 20103:38 pm
Sopheeee– Evidently we can since you did!
McCann is like one 3 for 4 day away from having some really good looking numbers.
Sopheeee – didn’t even think about it. You got it!
can you double switch when you bring in a pinch runner? put infante in the 9th spot and put saito batting 3rd.
McFann :Ô: :Ô:
May 31st, 20103:39 pm
Very good AB by BMac! He’s back to having more walks (26) than K’s (25).
Wasd I talking to you trey? cause based on yu post u don’t have a clue
Chipper looks smaller because he is crouching a little to see the ball longer–he is now part Chipper, part Knoblauch.
Com’on Glaus, hit a BOMB off this fuc.ker
FEAR — Good one!!
May 31st, 20103:40 pm
FEAR – sweet! We’re gonna take over the world.
Mr Turnip – I think it rhymes with “Bass Pole” but I’m not sure.
Troy got it back, thank you Mr. Glaus, glad i didn’t give up on you.
Troy “The Boss” Glaus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He got those runs back
WHOO-HOO! NICE! A first pitch dinger!!
I ♥ me some Glaussy!
WE GOT 3 RUNS BACK!!! WAY TO GO GLAUS!!!
Screwing with Wags’ save again…
THERE!!! YEEEEESSS!!!!! GLAUSSS!!!!
Victorino-means douchebag in spanish.
Glaus sticks the dagger into the Phils.
Phils get 3 runs to make it close. Glaus hits a bomb to center field to get the 3 runs right back.
Love these Braves.
GLAUS!!!! bringing the dagger…………..
Troy says “Take THAT, Peter Moylan!!”
Steve from OH
May 31st, 20103:41 pm
THIS… IS… TROOOOYYYYY
There is a dagger to heart of Philly
Way to go Glaus!!!
YEAH GLAUSY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats huge !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe that’s it Clint.
Wow! I think it is officially time for everyone who blasted Fran Wren for the Glaus gamble to send him some flowers and candy.
That’s one way to get back those 3 runs that Moylan gave up – yeah, I know 1 was charged to Hanson
He’s had one heck of a May.
Troy Glaus is going to be sorry to see May go.
Look at Blanco!
LOVE this offense!!
What a month for Troy Glaus, amazing what he has done since that horrible April
Chip: He hit that ball so pure that I didn’t even here it
Try talking a little lower
JC he hit a HR of this fu*ker
Man, Glaus’ bat looks slow. He is done.
Bring on the Blanco for MccccCCCClouth posters…
May 31st, 20103:42 pm
Brick Haus Glaus!
Blanco getting his swing on.
Wow, Blanco almost got one. Durbin from the announcers sounds like the Phils version of Moylan. Good reliable bullpen arm that gets used a lot and he seems to be paying like Pete.
abwright – haha
One at bat and Blanco has more hits today than ……..
There we go thank you Troy…hey lets send Nate down to find his stroke and keep Blanco up he’s really raking lately in Gwinnett and it seems like he’s gonna keep doing it in the bigs
May 31st, 20103:43 pm
Watch out, Mclouth. Blanco might take your spot if he keeps that up!
Blanco … just for defense? Nice to see him get a hit.
Colin – No, A BOMB like I asked him!
I missed some of the game, but are Hinske and Chipper okay?
man what a game!
Efrim McCann is like one 3 for 4 day away from having some really good looking numbers.
Yeah…just needs a couple more doubles with RISP and his numbers will be right where they should be!
I feel much better now
Well, McOut was retired………….. again
Mc-out finally made solid contact
Poor Nate just can’t anything going
After one swing, I’d give Blanco the keys to CF for at least a month. McClouth is that bad right now.
May 31st, 20103:44 pm
jeffrey d – no, they collided and were carted off for the rest of the season…
Hinkse was for defensive purposes and Chipper was okay I think but he kept looking and messing with the palm of his hand so not sure.
The one thing I will say about Nate today is that he isn’t striking out which is an improvement…maybe today’s game will be rough having his new stance and will progress as he get’s accustomed to it
lol or what VJ said.
Six outs away from sole possession of first place. Hope the Lounge Singer gets the eighth.
“Are all the Chipper haters quieted for a while? What is he, 7 for his last 12? with 7 RBI’s?”
I’ll speak for myself and nobody else, since I’ve been lumped in with the Chipper “haters”, though that’s not how I’d classify myself.
If Chipper starts hitting, it is nothing but a GREAT thing for this team. Period. But the fact remains, he looked completely lost for almost a month (and his power has been considerably minimized since mid-summer of last season).
All I ever wanted was him to be removed (even if only temporarily) from the 3-hole.
THERE’S THOSE 3 RUNS BACK!!!! TROOOOOOOOOOOY!!!!!
I’ve stated for a while that a team can survive without massive power numbers in the middle of the order, provided those guys get basehits with RISP.
But Heyward is a natural for the 3-spot in the order. But I also love him in the 2-hole (due to his legs), provided Chipper is hitting.
All this team needs, is for guys to be remotely close to what their careeer averages have been, and this team will score a TON of runs and be deep.
It just so happens that in April, 4-5 guys were well below their career averages, and the results were not pretty.
But if Chipper does what he’s been doing for the last week or so, I’m more than happy to have Heyward bat 2nd and Chipper bat 3rd.
Never stated other wise. Though I did state that this team wouldn’t make the playoffs if Chipper continued to struggle and remained in the 3-hole. Which I still stand by.
May 31st, 20103:45 pm
Colin — YES! That has to be it…Victorino means douchebag!
Here’s hoping that a 9-3 lead is safer than 10-3 lead was.
McLouth has now dropped below the McLouth Line.
Well done, JC from DR!
Ok, I feel a little better.
May 31st, 20103:46 pm
Someone tell Glaus that May has 180 days, this year.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
