Wow. 1st? Who knew?

Anyway, regarding Joe Torre:

“I’d like to thank Félix Millán for making all of this possible.” (Regarding setting the NL record for most double plays grounded into in a single game, 4, July 21, 1975. Millan batted ahead of Torre in the lineup, singling in all four of his at bats.

Is anyone keeping track of Smoltz’s jokes and posting them somewhere. Some of them are pretty funny just because they’re so bad and he says them on air. This just shows you why Smoltz was so dominant, the man is fearless.

Innocent Bystander

Uhhh,,,,Medlen has a 2.76ERA and has been lights out starting and outta the pen. I said at the beginning of the year that Medlen was a #3 or #4 staarter and he has proven to be even better than that. PUT KK in the pen as our long relief and let the youngster do his thing!!!

DOB & Carroll:

Don’t listen to oldschool! The rest of us appreciate the excellent coverage you provide. He obviously doesn’t realize that in the present nature of the business it is advantageous to split blogs to increase hits, thus increasing ad revenues. We know that the after-game quotes, etc. are available elsewhere on the blog.
