That’s the bottom line? For you, maybe. For me, the bottom line is, I’m not covering the team today, and was at the eye doctor getting fitted for new glasses and getting drops put in my eyes so my pupils would dilate for the vision test at about the time the clubhouse opened. So why would I have the info on J.J.? We’ve got two people covering the team today, Carroll and Chris Vivlamore, both at the ballpark and reporting any news about J.J. or anything else. As I said earlier, I wrote a Sunday story and had a half-day off today. Sorry that doesn’t sit well with you, Chuck.

Kind of like now, you don’t need to explain yourself to us. Enjoy your time off. KK’s stats this year SO FAR have been garbage. He doesnt give up that many runs a game but he is not pitching enough innings.
One cannot assume that he would not be giving up more runs if he was staying in longer, hence the high ERA

Sutton did TV on TBS for a looong time. He was solid. Carey just tries too hard and gets very annoying. I guess we were spoiled with Boog last year because listening to Chip becomes a chore tolerating him. This duo with Smoltz and Simpson is perfect for my liking. No painfully pathetic nicknames that only stick for 20 minutes and nobody laughs to begin with. Like ‘Sparky’ for Prado the other night when he hit in 5. That’s like what an 11 year old would come up with. He’s not the slightest bit funny. His Dad knew how to get laughs with the unintenional humor, the clever humor. Chip just lets it all out there and the results are always bad for him.

Rob – knew it was coming and I think it was the right decision. He did a good job in turning the team around the last few years but he couldn’t get past that 2nd round hump in the playoffs. This year was really bad – it’s like they gave up before the series even started.

I really don’t think he was too instrumental in that increasing win total. I think Josh Smith in 2004, Joe Johnson in 2005, and Al Horford in 2007 had more to do with it.
