I hate long, long-distance calls. Could not avoid it. I left at 4-4 and came back to a come-from-behind win. Grateful for the win, just wish I was following on GameDay.

I just LOVE simple solutions to complex problems!

Here’s a solution to all the controversy over full-body scanners at the airports.

Have a booth that you must step into that will not X-ray you but instead will detonate any explosives or explosive devices you may have on you! It would be a win-win for everyone.

There would be none of this crap about racial profiling or accidentally accusing an innocent person, and it would eliminate all those long and costly trials.
Case closed!

It’s great that some of the backups have performed well – that’s what you want from them. But the best thing is to get the guys with above-average skills (based on their history) going.

If we’re going to compete for a title, we need Escobar slugging and playing stellar D, McLouth driving the ball and creating some havoc on the bases, Chipper driving in runs, etc etc.

Some of that may not happen, but our best chance to win consistently is to give them every chance to do what they’re paid to do.

I’ve seen you on here quite a bit, but I rarely post and have never thanked you for your continued loyalty to the only team that matters in the state of Alabama while you’re currently behind enemy lines.

On another note, I’ve been out of “Braves Country” the past few days and have been forced to listen to the radio broadcasts and I must say Jim Powell and Don Sutton broadcast a great game. I usually only listen to those guys for an inning or two when I’m on my way out and about or whatnot, but I haven’t listened to a Braves radio broadcast from start to finish since Skip and Pete, and this week I listened to 2 full games and thoroughly enjoyed every inning. Although I was a little disappointed that Jim used the patented “fisted” 2 or 3 times tonight, I think I may start muting the TV every once in a while and listen to the radio call. IMO, Joe’s always good and I like Chip “okay”, but a man needs a break from the over-the-top quirkiness every now and then ya’ know. Anyway, good night denizens and Go Braves!

Met his brother Tommy who played longer with my father. I used to go to Braves games when EVERYONE could get a foul ball. I have lived in ATL since 1996. But sticking with someone, while they work through a rough patch has made many players very dedicated. He is more beloved than almost any other manager. I agree that the fantasy baseball attitude is what makes up this “ballgame” crowd and wanting to chop and change the lineup. But its not always the case. Fantasy baseball gives one a good chance of keeping in touch with players/trends/results everywhere and it is actually possible to separate the two if people are mature enough to understand the difference. Unfortunately that’s not the case with lots of these folks.
But you should try it sometime, quite a lot of fun especially if you are in a league with some of the bloggers on here.

Nobody is throwing chipper aside……. he is what he is, a 38 year old coming downhill………..Keeping him in the middle of the order is not fair for other players that are giving it all (prado, hinske, heyward, etc). If chipper is a man, full of greatness and humble, he would understand what is best for the team and his teammates, and Im pretty sure having him in the 3rd spot is not it.
