Connie didn’t hit a HR? I’m dumbfounded.
May 14th, 20109:43 pm
A bullpen ERA of 7 or 8 is about equal to what? Giving up 2 runs a game. I don’t think 2 runs is going to do it.
its only equal to 7 or 8 runs a game if their bullpen is out there for the full 9 innings… so yes, Min04 is right. if they are only out there for 3 innings then its like giving up a couple of runs…
May 14th, 20109:44 pm
That’s my guy.
Lil' Barry Bailout
Wow, that suck. Braves haven’t come back from a four run deficit in nearly a year.
The suck-azz offense isn’t anything new.
Yeah Prado, show’em
I’m with you barry. At least we have something to watch.
Chris from the Rock

No Braves HD feed tonight on DirecTV. D-Backs broadcast crew, which includes Gonzo, are the most boring duo. No enthusiasm whatsoever, even with their team up.
Wayne in Utah
When is Medlen scheduled to get another start? This might be a good in-between starts workout.
There were no Es in that sentence
OMG Soph Marteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen is going to be signing autographs tomorrow before the game. You HAVE to go and get your Marteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen shirt signed. HAVE to.
Ugh, Joe pulling a Chip there.
Joe just Chip Carayed that out
May 14th, 20109:46 pm
It’s my Wall! I don’t need VIP access!
She loaned out the Wall without asking? DAMN IT!
I figured you guys were tired of me throwing the extra e’s in there so I changed it up.
Chipper Time, not as enthusiastic about it as i was 5 years ago
Lets go Daddy-O
May 14th, 20109:47 pm
RHR – nu uh! More details please! I’m going on Sunday dammit.
He used to crush that
Tuesday vs. the Mets Wayne
For those not following on TV:
The last time the Braves came back from a deficit of at least 4 runs after the 6th inning was June 2, 2009 against the Cubs last year. The Braves were down 5-0 entering the 8th inning and came back to win 6-5, scoring 3 in the 8th and 2 in the 9th. Jeff Francoeur hit a walk-off, two-run homer off Kevin Gregg.
May 14th, 20109:48 pm
I saw it on the braves twitter feed earlier today, lemme go find it.
I thought the D-Backs pitching staff was supposed to suck?
cab – NO. You just manage Brick Wall – I own it. Pschh, you can get your own VIP access then.
Yeah Other than the Crazy Train Intro I don’t get Hyped when Roger Dorn comes to bat!
Kelly’s probably signing autographs for that game.
I just wanna get to their bullpen
I’m Going to tomorrows game and then hitting up the club
May 14th, 20109:49 pm
the only pitcher that is doing good is Kennedy
I did not loan out Brick Wall. jeffrey doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
chipper isn’t intimidating anymore
Saturday at 2:00 meet Martin Prado at the Braves Clubhouse Store at the CNN Center. He’ll be there signing autographs from 2-3.
JHey should have taken some pitches.
Their starting pitching is fine. It’s their bullpen that is terrible.
He used to go oppo with those too.
May 14th, 20109:50 pm
@ tomahawkin – N by N’s “Uptown Anthem” is my ish! You can’t get your funk fix without Lords of the Underground’s “Funky Child” and “Chief Rocka”
That’s it Chipper, strike out and show that you don’t give a damn. At least give the impression that it bothers you.
That’s it, I dont know what to say about Chipper.
Don’t even have to go to the game to meet him….DO it! Because, mostly, I just want him to know about the Marteeeeeeen thing lol.
May 14th, 20109:51 pm
Chipper is not a threat anymore, as much as i love him. I cant see any flaws in his swing, it reminds me of Griffey
Come On MEDS!
If you say so… I still need it- Stupid is a little to free flowing tonight
Chipper is sad to watch. He’s done.
6-1 K to walk Ratio
MEDS is the TRUTH!
May 14th, 20109:52 pm
Chipper…sad looking figure. worst body language I have seen in a professional athlete.
I’ll try to go and I’ll definitely take my Marteeeeeen shirt. I’ll post pics on fb if I’m successful.
This kid is not afraid to attack the strike zone.
I agree, it is so sad
Uh…anyone else on the team would’ve struck out there too, give the guy a break. He has certainly done enough for Braves nation to have earned the respect of logical fans.
May 14th, 20109:53 pm
I had no idea right handers were hitting .354 off Medlen. Yikes.
I’m not sure why everybody assumes we are gonna score a bunch of runs tonight. Guy has an ERA just above 3.00. That’s pretty darn good for a guy who pitches in that offensive haven. Plus the Braves are likely all hit out from the Brewers spurt. Hoping for a reverse jinx here
How long can Chipper hang on to the third spot in the order? I would think that you have to do whats right for the team to win. What about having him in the 7 spot. when he starts hitting, move him back.
The key word being “logical”
I’d guess Medlen is pitching because his spot was skipped with yesterday’s day off.

“@ tomahawkin – N by N’s “Uptown Anthem” is my ish! ”
Oh, You Damn Rite Playa!
I love that “Feel Me Flow!” That video is dope and classic MTV
I’ve been bumping a lot of old Easy-E as well
Steve, Pens were exhausted and Crosby just didn’t have a good series. All that being said, that was a game where you just needed Fleury to step up, and it just didn’t happen for whatever reason. Most important thing for 2010-2011 for them is to get a full consistent season from Fleury. I mean, it’s never really happened for him. Malkin, to a lesser extent, needs to have a great, top ten in points type year. I hear people saying on Pens blogs that they should trade Staal or Malkin for a winger…..I think that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Their strength up the middle(Crosby, Staal, Malkin) is what makes them who they are.
Chippers OBP only bright spot offensively is slowly decreasing.
May 14th, 20109:54 pm
How much longer do we have to watch McClouth hit and KK pitch. They suck Coc is an ass if KK gets another start.
@ Tomahawkin – the organist is playing “Uptown Girl” for Jason Upton. He should go up there and give him a copy of “Uptown Anthem” LOL!
May 14th, 20109:55 pm
At least Medlen is cute with his flat bill cap
Sorry, I meant Justin Upton
I sure hope that Jo Jo is left in Gwinnett after his rehab starts. The last thing this team needs is a pitcher that absolutely cannot win at the major league level.
Go Arizona! Only state brave enough to enforce the law. Let’s go to Mexico and see how long we can stay there illegally. Never paid much attention to the legal status of people before, but I will now. If baseball pull out because of this, I will never watch another game.
May 14th, 20109:56 pm
um it’s raining…
And this has been a good crowd tonight….
Heyward in the 4 hole
May 14th, 20109:57 pm
4 G-Damn Hits
Did anyone other than me just got their feelings hurt by that series in Milwaukee, in thinking that the braves were gonna start clowning? I know its only one game but Roger Dorn and B-Macc are killing us
Boo and YAH
Icees for everyone on McFann!
Chuck James was Solid until the 6th!!!
Kawakami probably deserved a better fate tonight. Our pen has a pretty good ERA, but they seem to let a lot of KK’s inherited runners score. Dude has deserved better.
Medlen is looking like a stud! If he puts in another good start against the Mets, KK might end up being the 5th man.
Nice pick me up by Mac!
May 14th, 20109:58 pm
McFann, are you watching?
MAC!!! That should make McFann happy
C’mon, it’s only one game you guys.
U Kidding MEEEEEEEE??????
Yeah baby, Go McCann
B-Mc got that prescription straightened out.
Why is McCann even trying? I thought this game ended in the 5th
At least McFann will come on and say something POSITIVE. It’s been awhile
McFann :Ô: :Ô:
Hey…well…cool, a homer!
I was just about to post for like the 100th time, Heap could really use an extra base hit here….
McFann, wake up …. and bring the reptiles
Bravos are 8-4 over the last 12 games. I wonder if 6 of those wins could be attributed to the pitching staffs of Houston and the Brewers?
May 14th, 2010
@ Tomahawkin – the organist is playing “Uptown Girl”
That song is Gawd Awful!!! I’d rather listen to Fergie than that crap and that says something!
And D.O.B. Clowns me all the time because I love some Mariah Carey…That stuff is poetry!
McCann’s first home run since April 11 at San Fran
Sweet. But don’t put the lid on my icee, I’ll want to spike it up a bit.
3 runs we can do it
May 14th, 20109:59 pm
ATTA BOY MACCCC!!!!! Put on your rally caps Braves fans and do THE CHOP!
Chipper hitting .231 in the 3 hole.
Yeah, sorta…we had gotten behind and fast-forwarded it at the wrong moment.
Steve from OH
Efrim–I agree, but I do think they rely too strongly on Crosby and Malkin because they do lack a bit of depth, but that’s ok for the most part because you have Crosby and Malkin. I know you probably like Fleury, but I think he’s a bit of a headcase. He’s too talented to be turning into a sieve as often as he does. He would just make me nervous were I a Pens fan.
What do you think they’ll do with Gonchar?
May 14th, 201010:00 pm
I have a question for those of you out there criticizing Chipper… if he didn’t give a crap, why didn’t he just retire LAST YEAR? I mean, really, he’s well enough endowed financially, it wouldn’t hurt him. I mean really, some people just LOOK like they don’t, but I think he does.
Tomahawkin – the organist doesn’t play songs because he thinks they’re good. He plays something clever that goes with whoever is up to bat for the other team. UPTON – UPTOWN … .get it?
Besides…don’t rip on Billy Joel, son.
McFann :Ô: :Ô:
May 14th, 2010
Hey…well…cool, a homer!
That’s it? That’s pretty weak, McFann.
