I think he’s enjoying the fact that he’s irritating y’all.
It’s funny…we’re getting irritated because he doesn’t know how stupid he looks, but he keeps acting stupid because he likes irritating us. It’s like, the circle of life or something
Two of the three greatest nights of my life were being at Shea in 1969 when the Mets clinched the Eastern Division, and the 6th game of the ‘86 World Series, and I’m a Braves’ fan…
I dont know what is more shocking….the braves scoring 4 whole runs in one game, or 30,000 plus fans showing up to the first home game following the worst road trip in 60 years!!! I am a huge braves fan, but until management realizes cox and pendleton need to be nowhere near a braves dugout for us to be winners. The youth needs to brought up, and Chipper and Glaus should play sparingly, however with Cox still in the dugout it would be a futile effort as he would continue to play whoever he wants whenever he wants, no matter if they are hitting .140, in a terrible slump, cant play defense….he plays his favorites, and lets Chipper tell him what to do, and where he wants to bat, and any true talents, would just sit on the bench if Cox doesnt like them (see Prado last year-first half), and TP is a pro at messing up hitters, i think the proof is coming clearer everyday with the laundry list of former braves having career years once out of the grips of the grim reaper Pendleton…
I think McLouth is slowly starting to get back to normal, he should be kept in the leadoff spot for now. He did fine for us last year there, and while he has never been a high average guy, he is great at taking walks, doesnt K much, and has a good career OBP. He is a 20/20 guy, and he looks like the first of the group of underachievers that is slowly but surely hitting like the true Nate, the one we saw when he first came here last year, the one who was an allstar with Pitt in 2007. About a .260-.270 guy, with a good amount of walks, 15-20 hrs, 15-20 steals, and a good baserunner, who plays good defense (he’s already made some great catches this year).
I dont know what is more shocking….the braves scoring 4 whole runs in one game, or 30,000 plus fans showing up to the first home game following the worst road trip in 60 years!!!
Monger, don’t forget the Hawks game, also. I, too, was pleasantly surprised.
brian, I think they’re brothers, not positive, though. Monger, I agree. Nate looked great in leadoff spot. It would be nice 2 see him stay there and provide some stability. He seems more confidant and comfortable in that role.
With Heyward coming on really strong with one and almost two homers to start off the Houston series, I still think there is a long way to go, but I think this should be the lineup for now (once Yunel comes back in a day or two)…
1. McLouth CF
2. Prado 2B
3. Heyward RF
4. McCann C
5. Jones 3B
6. Cabrera LF (dont laugh, he’s finally starting to get some hits)
7. Hinske 1B
8. Escobar SS
Once Yunel starts hitting again, move him up to 5th or 6th, and if Chipper ever does start to hit with some power put him back in the 3 hole, but that seems unlikely…the best option for a guy that can still hit some doubles occassionaly with a decent average would be in the 5 hole. Heyward leads the team with 6 homeruns, and I think he should be in the 3rd or 4th spot, I think Mac, being a little more seasoned would be the best option in the cleanup spot, and he is due for a power surge, and will pick up his power numbers…I think this lineup works best….Glaus should be a pinch hitter and nothing more, he at least will give us some pop, and keep a Melky/ Diaz platoon and let Diaz hit against the lefties, as he will pick it up soon as well…McLouth and Melky are already showing signs of breaking out of their funks…
Shut up njbraves…….You’re garbage. You should be embarrased to call your self a resident of the Garden State. You’re worse than a Yankee fan HOMO
