If we could just score some runs we would be okay, pitching is fine, save JJs start in San Diego.
I enjoy losing so much, 8 games in a row is fine by me.
with 20 errors in 21 games, extremely poor hitting, and numerous mental errors I have to question the players focus/desire as well as the coaching

Sorry, if you live in the 706 area code, you can’t get the Braves in HD when they play on Peachtree TV. Or maybe it’s just my house. All I know is that I don’t get the games in HD and I saw someone on here say the line of demarcation was the perimeter. Yeah, yeah, yeah, life is hard, I know. But if I’m going to watch this train wreck of a team, at least let me enjoy the picture.

Glaus is not the only one who strikes out, but he sure gets more recognition for it than anyone on the team.
.189, .197, .195, .179, .149. How can you win with these batting averages? who is to blame?
Matt Diaz always seems to have his head down this season.

Braves now have 5 guys, not including the pitcher, batting below .200 in the lineup tonight.
By comparison the worst team in the league, Baltimore, has only 2 guys batting below .200
On to more important topics: Have the Braves worn their gray road uniforms this year? It seems like most of the games have been in the Blue?

Diaz has a terrible swing working now. He pulls his head out like me on my golf swing. His last swing looked like a 2 handed forehand in tennis trying to put topspin on the ball.

This has to be the worst fielding team the Braves have put on the field in a long time. It is painful to watch. Long term, I think that is a bigger issue than hitting. The hitting will come around at some point, but the poor defense is alarming.
I haven’t seen the Gray road unis all year…In think its time the team burn the road blue unis and go back to the greys…
Just keep the Blue Unis for the fans who buy it

Wow, I just looked at the G-Braves BA’s to see if there were any diamonds in the rough on that team, but their BA’s are just as bad…. Except for Clevlen.

Plus, a pitcher with a 5.00 ERA and a D that has committed 20 errors in 21 games. Doesn’t paint a pretty picture now does it? Maybe a change in how spring training is conducted is in order? Even when the Braves were winning pennants, they often started out slow and then went on a run in June.
They wore the greys back in NY.

Can anyone remember a more frustrating stretch being a Braves fan. 2008 was bad, but until Kelly Johnson dropped a pop up in early June, we were 2.5 games out of first place.

I hate when the camera points at Yunel when talking about defense. Like it was his fault the guy hit a tricky lazer at him that he couldn’t field. Most ANY, if not every SS in the game would’ve been ate up by that. Back off Esco!
June 2006 was awful… I think we were 4-22 that month (including a 10 game losing streak)
Even the dragonslayer himself stands no match with this offense.
Why is it that Kelly Johnson changes teams and suddenly he is hitting like everyone in Atlanta predicted he could? I mean all he did was change teams. Why is that? Why did that happen? Is this not the same Kelly Johnson? Is it not the same player who played for Bobby Cox and TP?
I’m confused! Why is this happening?
This Brendan Ryan looks like he could be a braves player, maybe we should trade for him:
.164 average, would fit right in, maybe trade him for Prado, who is overacheiving with a .362 average.

Losing 10 in a row in 2006 was just as bad because it happened in June, I was reminded of that a few nights ago on here
exactly what we needed. i think KK is overpaid as a #5, but have to give him credit since i point out his salary so much…a quick 10 pitch inning was awesome there.

KK was better than all #5 and most #4s last season.
KK will settle down and pitch well giving the team a chance but still recieves no support, you know when Lowe isnt pitching for sure….

Hah, keep telling yourself that Chuck. Our D would have owned Weinke the way we owned the rest of your team that game. Al Wilson was out for blood in that game. It was never close. Peter Warrick was supposed to light us up and he didn’t do squat. We had Tee Martin playing QB plus Jamal Lewis was out for the season. I think Jamal was a little better of a player than Weinke. Our team didn’t make excuses, though. They just went out and won a NC after losing their best player for the year.
Thank goodness Melky ruined the no hitter. Now someone spoil the shut out please!?

If This is the Cards Team I see us playing in the NLDS this year, then we got our work cut out for us, they have a lot of pesky players on their team who do what it takes to win game, a perfect example of that is Yadier Molina
I said Cox should have retired three years ago, but Cox is right on this, and if if he isn’t, I pray J-Hey doesn’t read this blog.

Alright about time to fire one of the coaches. Either Bobby or TP. Don’t care either way, but someone has to take the fall when an offense starts off the season this flat. If the Manager wasn’t Bobby Cox, his job would be in jeopardy. And some of the announcers believe the manager in waiting is TP. Which would make him off limits to fire as well. Absurd…but true.
what will cox have to say if we keep hitting like this, be something like this:
‘we hit some hard balls today, just right at fielders. we will be alright’
